Console games. -
After reading your complaints in the "Respawn button" thread, I've concluded that you're like a bad idea machine. Everything you propose flies in the face of what this mod's developer has stated are his goals. While we're at it, there should 5 times as many vehicles available and there needs to be a working mass transportation system to instantly teleport us between cities in the game because the map is too big and we shouldn't have to waste our precious gaming time playing the parts of the game that don't involve shooting other players. FFS.

This is a great decision and I hope it forces all you whiners hellbent on transforming this game into every other game out there to fucking quit. Everyone that gave beans to the OP should be embarrassed and consider quitting as well, or maybe just pursue console gaming. It's more your pace. -

I especially liked the part where the entitled script kiddie piece of trash got banned. -
There seems to be a common refrain among the endgame crowd about there being nothing to do other than kill other players after a certain point. While I agree with this sentiment to a certain extent, the solution I see employed most often (i.e. sniping weaponless noobs along the bean coast because there's a high probability of finding targets) seems to lack inspiration and challenge. I know that there are some reasonably sized clans in this game; many with real world military experience, but in all the YouTube videos I've watched, and all the time I've spent in-game, I have yet to see a large scale interclan battle. I've seen some skirmishes but no straight up ARMA-Z survivor battles. I think that this sort of engagement could be much more entertaining and challenging for everyone involved, but it would require a certain amount of coordination / establishing of a basic ruleset, and a willingness on the part of the participants to not exploit. If thugs and hooligans can coordinate flash robs and brawls, then surely some clans could put something together with a bit of out of game communication. I could see something like a king of the hill match to be the first clan to get all of your surviving participants into the grocery store in Stary Sobor etc. It could be a night battle with both clans picking a direction to deploy from and setting up 1 Km out. Before people object to the possibility of outside interference, I have to say that it's to be expected and if you're really after a PVP experience, then it should probably even be encouraged. There are a variety of possibilities outside of bean coast duck hunting, but Rocket has left it to the playerbase to establish these things. So far, it seems that we've been pretty lazy in this regard, instead taking the easiest and most obvious route while simultaneously looking to Rocket to add new stuff to keep us busy. I'm sure there are others out there with more creative ideas to evolve the endgame experience, but they still need to be introduced into a player discussion.

Yes, I'm aware of that, but there are also documented of attacks. There's also the possibility of hyper aggressive "infected" wildlife.

I hope they're a precursor to wolves. I want wolf packs 7-15 in size roaming and howling at night looking to tear unwary survivors apart.
-
Also, large enough clans should really have no reason to disconnect since they probably have enough surplus gear in the ever replenishing tents to easily re-gear should someone die. The only inconvenience in dying for most would be that of having to run from the coast to a camp.

Speaking for myself, I think it's worth making a clarification as to what defines a "douchebag-PVPer" vs. a legitimate bandit. Out of curiousity, I decided to watch some footage from streamers and the majority of what I saw was 100% douchebag behavior (i.e. patrolling back and forth from the sniping hill in cherno, to the apts./hospital, and grocery store sniping / shooting unarmed noobs with military-grade weapons and no intention of looting their kills). I've never really had a problem with these players because I leave Cherno / Elektro as soon as I have my basics, but I could see how annoying it would be to be a noob searching for a weapon for 30 minutes only to be sniped by some dumbass with a camo'd SVD. That's not banditry. It's CoD / Duck Hunt levels of challenge with the only intention being to cause grief and waste the defenseless people's time. It's like a black belted martial arts instructor sparring with toddlers and then patting himself on the back for caving in their heads. If you call yourself a "bandit" then gtfo out of the big cities and actually be a "bandit," you know in the wilderness and along the roads. Calling youreslf a bandit when you never leave the bean coast is laughable. If you play this way, then at least own up to it by calling yourselves what you are ... griefing trolls. -
