I'm gonna call bullshit until you just tell us where it is and this can be confirmed. I don't know why you feel the need to keep it a secret, if this is true it will be found out eventually and made common knowledge anyway. Help your fellow survivor out. Maybe you can camp this awesome new "safer" spot and get some easy kills, if that makes you more willing to share this location. Hell even if you tell us it would still take awhile for this to become common knowledge like Stary/NWAF/ect.

I was chilling in the forest outside of Cherno earlier today, hiding inside a tree on a rather fresh spawn, so I was in a rather good mood and wanted to make friends with people. After dicking around I alt-tabbed back in, walked out and see a dude a few trees away from me looking into the field. I sneak up too him, and tell him "DON'T FUCKING MOVE DO NOT MOVE." He stops moving so I ask him "Are you friendly bro? I ju--" What does he do? Alt F4'd. I just wanted to make a friend. Hell he could have shot me in the back, I would have preferred that over him bitching out because he got himself in a bad situation and didn't want to play it out. I mean, if I wanted to shoot him, I could have just immediately done that, so why does he think he needs to alt F4 instantly? It's so frustrating. I can't wait until the update when they're forced to stay in game. Kill people all day for trying to pull that shit.

There are some very simple steps you can take that would greatly reduce your chances of dying while trying to find out if someone is friendly or not. Most important rule? Don't just stand there in front of them asking if they're friendly while your gun is trained on them. Take cover, make sure they don't know where you are, then ask. If you're just standing in the open, yeah, you're gonna get shot every time. If they don't respond, they're not friendly. If they do respond, that doesn't mean they actually ARE friendly, so make sure you always have the upper hand before initiating contact. If you have an M16 and the dude has a winchester, chances are if you turn your back he will kill you. If you have a bigger backpack, he will probably kill you. If he looks like a sniper, he'll probably kill you. You CAN be friendly. You just have to change your playstyle to match accordingly. Running up to people all herp derp asking if they're friendly just gets you shot, every time. Even if you're unarmed people will still do it. Don't be stupid about it.

I've been having this problem too. The last two backpacks I've gotten off bodies. The first one had an M16 and a Makarov in it, as well as a few blood bags and a clip of 30Rnd AK ammo. I would get rid of the guns and put whatever in them, but when I would come back on later the M16 and Makarov would be back, replacing everything I'd put in the backpack. Second time, dude had a M1911 in the backpack, and a bunch of junk. I replaced it with med supplies because I was going to heal some dude who needed morphine. Halfway there we switch servers since he was having problems on the one I was on. I get into the new server and the M1911 and junk is all back in the backpack. Only had one morphine, which I thankfully got to him, only to break my leg not even 2 minutes later! Hopefully they're aware of this. Probably should post it in the bug report forums.

If it makes you feel better, I wouldn't have shot you. I would have even let you tag along with me and I would find you some gear, it'd give me something to do. Hell, I had some dude who'd just spawned sneak up behind me and steal med supplies from my backpack. I didn't notice that he took stuff until I'd gotten him some gear and parted ways some 20 minutes later. I thought it was hilarious.

I'd be glad to partner up with ya. Been playing for a few weeks myself, but completely new to ArmA. I can definitely help you increase that life span for sure.

I understand if you have to take a break, my friends are the same way. Just saying, try not to let it bother you as much as you can, it'll happen sooner or later. Hopefully in time it won't bother you so much. It stopped bothering me pretty quickly :) Better luck next time bro.

Or you could try to learn how to deal with the zombies while they have these magic powers. I don't know about zombie's ever being slowed down, but it doesn't matter anyway, they can't hit you while you're running. Not to mention how easy it is to juke them behind solid walls and buildings. As for getting attacked through walls, with enough experience you'll learn the general areas where they do this and just avoid those so you don't get attacked through walls. Using an exploit because your personal opinion is that zombies are too strong doesn't make it okay. Just learn how to deal with them.

Don't get attached to your gear. Still, that sucks, I've died a few times due to vaulting into buildings and dying. One time I was crawling under a tree at the NEAF looking for snipers, when nature decides it's hungry, so it stops me from moving, then suddenly breaks my legs and eats me. It's never fun, you may feel a little cheated, just rest assured that it (probably) won't be like that forever, and move on. Just chalk it up a learning experience. I never try to vault into buildings anymore if it looks like there's any chance I'll just phase through the floor and die instead.

I thought those first three shots were all one hit kills. Still, not shabby. Wish my sniper buddy could shoot like that. He goes through a whole mag trying to hit someone whenever he plays with us.

It's courtesy bro. Don't talk in Side Chat. I shouldn't have to go through the whole menu to find and mute you when you guy just be using Direct Chat, which is all that's supposed to be enabled anyway. I've seen up to date servers with Side Chat up, I don't know why it is, but it'll probably be fixed soon. If you insist on using Side Chat, just type.

Just want to say I like this idea, would love to see something like this implemented. If nothing else, I'd love it just because it would help me in not losing my friends when we're running through the forest. It would also be a way to help reduce those moments of "IS THAT YOU IS THAT YOU" which is pretty annoying imo, I would think that if I was traveling with someone I'd remember what they looked like and not have to guess if that's them or someone else.

I dislike using vehicles alone. Which is why I never try to fix them up and use them by myself. If I want to go driving around, I'll either get some friends on or run around Cherno/Elektro telling people I have a vehicle nearby that I want to repair/drive around, get a group going, and go do shit.

I found a Heli crash way up north, around cords 092-030. The 092 might be a little off but I know for sure the second part is 030, and it's around that area.

Only if I've tried to talk to them. Yesterday I snuck up on some sniper hiding in a tree overwatching his buddy on the NEAF. I was literally breathing down his neck with how close I was. I told him not to move, I didn't want to kill him. He starts frantically looking around trying to find me, as soon as he looks at me I unload 16 SAW bullets into his body. I tried to warn him.

I've only seen one since I started playing, and that was on some guys body. I have yet to ever see one in any kind of building or loot pile. I find more M14's and DMR's than I do CZ550's.

I was running around some barn near the NWAF, I thought I'd heard someone around it. I don't remember why, but I was at really low blood, almost exactly 4000. I couldn't find anyone so I figured I was imagining things. After clearing the barn I head out onto the road, and see some dude behind the fence surrounding the bar looking at me. I hear clicking, so I thought he was trying to shoot me but had no ammo, I guess to show he wasn't hostile. Turns out he had a silenced MP5 and sprayed an entire clip at me. I didn't notice until I saw I was taking damage. I scrambled to aim down my sights and put 5 rounds from my M4 into him, dropping him dead. This guy unloaded an entire MP5SD clip at me, while I was at 4000 blood, taking me completely by surprise. I deserved to die there. I SHOULD have died. Instead, he dies and I limp back into the barn with 350-ish blood, yelling for my buddy to log in and come give me a transfusion since I'm scared as fuck to go anywhere for fear of passing out. tl;dr MP5SD does jack shit for damage. That, or the guy shooting a me can't aim for shit (I like to think it's a bit of both)

Press L to turn it on. I believe they either have a chance to short out, or after a set amount of time they just stop working. I'm not sure if that's true, but my flashlight just randomly stopped working at one point.

I had just finished raiding the apartments and hospital in cherno on a solo run, and was heading in town. I'd stopped to look around back towards the apartments. I turn around and all of a sudden there's a guy behind me. He had no weapons, so I didn't kill him. I took him to the apartments and got him some of the guns I left there. He refused to communicate with me though, so I just took him there and left immediately before he could shoot me. About 20 minutes later, I look into my backpack for some blood bags and morphine, only to notice that all of them were missing. My backpack was suddenly half empty. The little bugger snuck up behind me and took all my stuff, I didn't even notice! Absolutely hilarious. I've decided I'm going to try to do this myself sometime, probably whenever I die and am on a fresh character, since if I have a gun and get that close I might as well shoot or get shot.

You need a toolbox, then aim at the center post. In my experience it's pretty annoying trying to get the prompt for removing it to come up, so keep trying. If you're a freshly spawned player, you're just SoL. I'm getting kind of tired of people wiring off all the good loot spawns so new players can't get anything. I understand if you're gonna use it for tactical purposes, but just laying it down to block off the upper section of the firehouse when you aren't even gonna be around is pretty annoying.
