Button to toggle HUD for PS4

I say go true hard-core and no hud at all. Just like, remove it entirely.

    Map pins

Notebook would be neat. Providing you had a GPS receiver or if you're playing in a comm server with GPS automatically enabled, the ability to notate more complex data would be neat. Like, say you find loot, you can notate it with coordinates. Which would in-turn place a marker or symbol that reflects the kind of loot you found on the map. That way, if you need more, you'd easily know where to look. Giving the notebook to friends, or it being looted off of you, would give others the same data. For this, you'd need active GPS and the notebook for it to work, otherwise it would just be a notebook with coords and a blank map. I don't think using a marker on a map would necessarily ruin a map, just make it unique and specific. With the marker/pen method of marking locations, you would not need a GPS. You'd just use mouse/joystick/touchpad (ps4/5) to place the mark and you'd need to know where you're at. Zoom level would determine scale of coordinates.

    Map pins

Izurvive does not give your position. You have to know the map already to know where you're at in izurvive. I use the in-game map like 90% of the time. Showing my real time position and direction gives it a leg up over izurvive. The only thing izurvive has over in-game map is loot locations (if those are even accurate) and the ability to bookmark locations and share those in a group.

    Map pins

We need an ability to place pins in the map, either using markers we can find which would be a lasting change, or save coordinates in the GPS receiver which would appear on the map but only for as long as the receiver has power or remains on you.

    Details that add immersion.

Tbh, these options should be put in without much for options to turn them off (maybe except for birds, if they're just background props and not huntable). Not sure what you mean by headbob but if you mean the up and down movement when you jog/run irl, then yes. I don't think that should be a toggle. It should be added to make it a penalty for trying to run and gun. Run if you must, but your perception will be greatly reduced would be the warning lol.

    Pull carts and bodies/unconscious players

The point of DayZ is to survive. If you die, you're not surviving. Maybe I'm cynical, but maybe they should take the respawn button out of the game. If you die, you're done. True hardcore mode. The respawn button is more of a "crap, I just screwed up" or a "I'm bored and want to start over" button and is one I'd prefer not to press atm cause I'm not bored with my character (to that point, I'd also switch servers so the temptation to use any built bases I've done in my past life).

    Working mirrors

In fps, it is down right hard to reverse and not smack into something. We really need working mirrors, or something like pips with different camera angles.

    Pull carts and bodies/unconscious players

    1. So we don't end up looting a body with good loot and having to play musical items while standing in the open for a long time. 2. Maybe we don't want to make it obvious someone is nearby. 3. If person is a friend and still alive, drag out of danger so they don't wake up in the middle of a party. Or maybe they're not a friend and I just want to give them a tour.

    We Need More Huntable Animals

The funny thing is that we can hear birds...we just can't see them. I am thinking the biggest issue to adding birds would be lag, hence why most buildings also feel empty and they went with the whole "everybody looted everything" bit in the lore. Tbh, that's a bunch of crunk. DayZ is a halfway decent game with serious flaws in both mechanics and lore. They made a mistake of using their own engine, Enfusion, instead of using Unreal Engine which can handle all ofnwaht DayZ needs to be great.
  10. Carts would be immensely useful for moving stuff throughout bases or short distances, and the same mechanic could allow us to drag bodies or those unconscious (should really be able to pick then up in a buddy carry anyways).

    Handsaw needs to be reworked.

I find it weird that when you use a handsaw to cut small trees you hack instead of saw. I also find it weird you can't use it to at least cut down Deciduous Trees, which they should be able to do. Handsaw should also perhaps be used to remove branches from any tree for sticks. Another thing as well is that saw shouldn't really be able to make rags. Honestly the only way a saw would cut through fabric is if it was still attached to something...like a leg lol. Otherwise the teeth would just snag the fabric.

    Dayz Gunplay is Broken

The endgame is something all survival games struggle with tbh. Every game needs a beginning and an end and Dayz, SCUM, etc dont have that. There is no lore, no nothing for players to really discover about the world they play in. There's no real atmosphere either other than constantly being in danger and maybe the removal of fact finding is their way to make sure that players don't become distracted with the ambiance they're going for. Idk tho. I look at games like The Last of Us, Uncharted, etc and I feel they could achieve both a story rich environment and an impending sense of danger They could do something like lock each map behind a certain level progression. Like for example, you'd need enough gear, supplies, and perhaps even a car and not to mention a map or some other form of info on where to go to unlock Livonia. Same goes from getting from Livonia to Sakhal. This could do well with the existing mechanic of character transference between 2 servers of different maps. But same POV. The overall endgame could be getting to a sanctuary of sorts where there is a community and no infected...like a last bastion of humanity.

    Fix the doors

I think all doors should be lockable, especially house doors. And not with those combo locks either. Houses should have deadbolts, lockable from inside. They could add house keys, which would be an uncommon spawn and are specific to the house they're found in or perhaps rare if they go the one house key opens them all. Industrial doors and garage doors could be secured with a plank, stick, or something like a crowbar or anything with a long handle, or, of course, the combo lock. Which one would determine difficulty of breaking it, and could require special tools like a cutting torch to get through. Doesn't make sense that these doors with aesthetically designed handles shouldnt be lockable without needing to build a gate.

    Watchtower should be fully enclosed

Watchtowers should be fully enclosed with either stairs or ladders. The watchers l1 would have a lockable door. Or at the least a normal watchtower with 4 buildable walls. Having a ladder would allow the 4th wall provide the most cover. Also the l1 having walls doesn't make much sense tbh, since I think most will build the tower within base walls, so therefore l1 would already be protected. Feels a little weird having one side entirely exposed.
