no need to go against alt f4 :-)

The problem is that you waste bullets and the loot disappears. -
At the last two or three downed helo's I've looted, I got 1x NVG's, 1x FN FAL, 1x M14 AIM, 1x MK 48 Mod 0, 1x M240, 1x M249 and 1x DMR. The ones I chose to equip are the M14 AIM and the DMR. If you're not finding stuff at the downed helo's, they must already be looted. Play on low populated servers <20 and you'll find unlooted downed helo's... Also, NVG's are rare for a reason, it should become a privilege to be able to see in the dark. This adds to the end-game content as you will now have the nights to play in, whilst others do not, unless they want to risk dieing.

It was a hacker. You're stuck there and will die.

Not bitching, but I have what seems to be a major issue.

Every time you encounter something that isn't supposed to be in a server or something serious and weird happening, DISCONNECT. The server is broken and will take you down with it! -
does your dayz (or arma2) run slow (EASY SOLUTION INSIDE)
vitdom replied to bully (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
How can reducing the number of pre-rendered frames increase FPS? Shouldn't it be the opposite? When pre-rendering frames, the GPU renders frames all the time to catch up, but when not pre-rendering frames, it just sits and wait for when it's time to draw a new frame. -
I agree, if BattlEye isn't going to stop the hackers, the DayZ dev team might as well permit BattlEye-disabled servers. Hopefully the hacking issue will be resolved with the next patch, as Rocket said "Hacking is our #1 priority right now".

No, there is nothing that tells he's a hacker.

I hear Skalisty Island is haunted by a super zombie at nights... It punches you to death with one hit, and makes a distinct gargling sound. It runs slower and looks like a zombie stuffed full with beans. I don't know what it drops though. Should probably be something nice?

Kill or be killed. The least you can do, is NOT LOWER YOU WEAPON. If he starts to shoot you, kill him. (never give him the chance to kill you)

Combat dc'ing? Otherwise I do not know. -
Press left Shift + NumPad -. Type in flush and hit enter. This will restart the rendering system.

10 second logout delay both with ordinary abort procedures and in the event of an ALT+F4 command. If the player is killed though, then the items and the body should stay for 1 hour. (I changed my mind from 5 seconds to 10 seconds). The logout delay should be set at a maximized value so that in the case of a combat-logger, ALT+F4 becomes useless; and the delay should not introduce additional problems like standing in the middle of cherno for 60 seconds etc. I believe 10 seconds is the maximized balanced delay value.

There are no new maps on DayZ. You're obviously playing a non official DayZ-mod.

Go to http://www.battleye.com/download.html and download the two Client & Server v1.62 files. Copy them to the BattlEye folder at .\Expansion\BattlEye Also copy the Client file to %HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye If this does not work, then I have no idea...

Buy a new mic.

Just wait for the next patch. It's gonna be good! :murder:

So, do you have an updated target release date on the patch? And how is the ALT+F4 issue at the moment? I sure as hell don't want to waste my limited bullets on DC'ers... :bandit:

Will ammo now start being valuable?
vitdom replied to lnfighter's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Relog, change clothes, convert magazines etc. and you have full ammunition magazines again. This will be fixed in the next patch. How is the ammunition spawn balance in the new patch, which is now one of the most important aspects of the mod, since the ammunition count saving issue has been resolved. Is it unchanged? The fix is certainly going to enrich gameplay in all aspects, but I recon there will be negative side effects. If all players now have UNLIMITED --> LIMITED ammunition. E.g. a lot more people are going to look into hacking, and the (subtle, stealthy) hackers that are still in there, are going to be even more of a considerable impact to the rest. Will this make people even more prone into killing other players, because they need to fight over ammunition, resupply and increased looting at military installations and cities? Or will people start to team up more in order to not waste bullets? People disconnecting in fights is still a problem. Is it worth to waste bullets on players who then disconnects? When this thought crosses the experienced bandit's mind, I don't think he will fire in >20% of the cases. My concluding thought is that this will greatly enhance gameplay, but will also enhance and escalate the concurrent problems of abusers within the mod and the community. Keep this in mind, and be ready for the consequences! (the problems can probably not be endured anymore) -

These problems can not be endured anymore, and especially not escalated. Rocket and his team understand this, and I think the reason why they're quiet at the moment and not releasing the new patch, is because they're working on updating BattlEye and banning most of the hackers until the next version.

http://img545.images.../9968/campw.jpg 108099 - SE3 or SE4 do not remember. Was a couple of weeks ago though, and I took an AS50 so it's probably not maintained either... If not, then it's probably been hacker located.
