Those options only work on Lingor Island, they do not work on the Chenarus map. It is quite handy though as it's a stable light in front of you, the red option is to reduce range visibility of your light btw, players can't see you as easily from distance while still providing a nice source of light.

This is they way I play DayZ myself, never had a problem and manual updates don't take that long, nor hard to do. A few folks I know that have used the launchers run into a lot more issues then I do, dunno why, don't really care tbh.

Yes I kill them, they are still a threat regardless, MAYBE if I saw them spawn at the beach in front of me, that's such a small chance though. 1. I've run zombies into people unarmed, they have done it to me. 2. Just because they are "unarmed" doesn't mean they don't have a hand grenade in their pocket. 3. They may be playing with others and now are tracking me with their friends to kill me.

I didn't see any "hacking" for awhile myself but knew it was around due to the forums, it's gotten worse from my observations and in my opinion over the past month or two after the cheat sites started to offer those easy to use script console command setups I've seen videos on. If you haven't been a victim yet, you will be eventually if you play a lot, these guys seem to jump servers looking for the most victims to harass and why I have given up on "caring" about my characters and gear, I just fight/play until I die and do it over again, most of my toons don't even get past the 3 hour mark since I PvP a lot anyways. When news of Lingor Island got out, they came there too, so nowhere is safe unless you have a private and password protected server now it seems. I don't care if rocket doesn't like private servers, the game this mod is on top of is too easy to mess with and why I think the number of private servers have gone up lately (Seen a lot). Hell my clan just started a private lingor island one so we can explore the Fing map in peace.

This server got hacked last night a few times, a group of randoms I was with tried to fight one of these fuck-tards who spawned above us in a Huey but it didn't go over well against someone with god mode. The douche still had to break my legs and walk up next to me to get the kill shot, lack of talent is lulzy.

Hi op, Here are some examples of why people get shot that have hatchets, enjoy. Both within a week of each other, the attempt on my life was just yesterday and 5 minutes into playing that night.

There is always a choice, it's the choice to play it safe or risk the health of your character. You choose to risk it and lost this time, I'm not saying it sucks to get killed by a sniper in cherno, just you need to expect it since there are a lot of perches in that city some camper can hang out on top of. I normally stick to the coast line, looting buildings on that side of the city, it helps me avoid being spotted by the camp spots almost all the way through the city. I stick close to the sides of buildings as well to further reduce my visibility. People who run in the streets, and expose themselves to the sniper spots are just asking for it. Same thing goes for elektro, you have to block their view of you if want a higher % of survival when in those towns, the closer you get to the north side of either of those towns, the less chance you will live due to snipers.

Should of played on a dedicated server then, you can tell the difference in load times.

Just a word of warning, the script kiddies are on these maps too. I did enjoy several hours of joining up with random people who didn't want to shoot me in my face and we explored the map for several hour until some script-tard spawned above us in a huey and fought us. He was such a bad shot he had to land, port to us invisible and kill us within a 2 ft range of our bodies after breaking our legs. The map is superior to chenarus in my opinion, and I'm not sure if rocket is going to like that. Almost all the buildings can be entered, multiple air strips, a very large city with an international airport, jungles, military bases everywhere, etc. It also seems most of the guns are actually at army locations versus a enfield in every house feel you get with chenarus. The small towns normally just have some supplies, and maybe a hatchet or crowbar. The zeds are a bit nastier as well due to them able to move through the houses quicker then on the chenarus map, large cities and army bases turn into a zerg fest so the need to team up is a lot more imperative then in chenarus. I actually had fun shooting zombies for once....

See if anyone you know or here on the forums will spend the time to hunt you down and put you out of your misery (I say that with kindness) or possibly morphine you up, either way I think you will probably need some help with this.

There are flares, chem lights, and a flashlight in your tool belt for a reason, not that hard tbh. Less chances of getting shot at too, except and NWAF or around the sniper spots in the cities due to snipers with NVGs.
