I killed 5 people in an apartment room (idiots were jerking each other off I guess) after I pretended to be friendly with no weapon and was "joining" their group. I walked into the front room, threw the nade into the back room where they were looting.. 4 dead, one severly wounded, picked up a gun and killed the 5th. I shoot on site, because even "unarmed" people can be a threat.

Hi, I am a member of the clan that runs this server, we have been getting hit pretty hard recently due to 4chan dorks who hack this game and target people, they went after a clan mate and myself that stream in a sad attempt to troll us. I am sorry this happened to you and your friends, the last 2 days we have seen several hackers trying to get at our clan, probably because we troll-kill people a lot like this: <--Apparently I killed one of these losers or one of their friends and after this murder we got hit pretty hard.It's happening to a lot of servers though, so nowhere is really safe sadly.

Backstory: So my clan finds the Huey spawn on our server after they were added back in yesterday, it's damaged, needs fuel, etc. We spend about 4 hours total gathering parts and fuel for this beast to get it up and running, going back and forth to it, and making it a team project. We assigned certain members to look for parts, get fuel, play overwatch, and just guard the general area for intruders. It was quite fun, although labor intensive since we had to hit a few cities to get everything. Anyways, after taking off a few things happened while flying around..... 1. You might find easter eggs: 2. Don't attempt to parachute out of a moving Huey, make sure auto hover is on first: (I got sucked into the back rotor)3. Never fly one if you lag or desync a lot, you may crash it like our pilot did: (Skip to 2 minute mark if don't have patience)4. Don't go out to a crash site, you may die: In part 4 what happened was about 6 guys showed up at our crash site shortly after we wrecked the huey. Our pilot who didn't die, (he just spawned where he desynced on the ground) saw these guys looting our bodies. He nailed all of them (he thought) and then the Hive took a dump. After we logged back in, we were looting their corpses only to find one of them was alive and hiding in the bodies, he killed our pilot, but I killed him, we had a 9mmSD battle lol. I also would like to note the players that showed up had a lot of nice gear, either farmers or dupers, hard to say. All of them had rangfinders, gps, maps, compass, NV goggles, and SD pistols (pretty suspect in my opinion). We've had a problem lately of duper camps on our server. 4 hours of work, 1 hour of flight, 30sec desync of doom, 10 bodies in a 50ft radius. Priceless

Yeah several of the wolves members were on when this happened, killed us all =/ Then spawned everyone with suits and 50cals then left..... so yeah...

Nothing. As for the name tag thing suggested by another poster, my clan's server has that carebear feature off as well as those green aiming sights. We all use the same skin models to help us detect who is friendly (Doesn't always work as I have been shot by clan a few times) and we use ventrilo for voice comms. If they get stupid, and try to make things "fair" which rocket and crew don't seem inclinded to do (Thank god), any attempt to nerf groups will be fruitless as it will be surpassed by voice communications outside the game. You can't nerf or make groups fair, all you can do is join them or get your own group going.

I was wondering that too, I put it down after picking it up since I had not seen them before, but I don't pick up nades often anyways.

He was kicked by battle eye for ping time out when he crashed, right before that happened we had the huey bouncing all over the place, you can even hear him say he got kicked for high ping right after the odd desync we were all seeing, wasn't his flying. Make sure to auto hover, I learned the hard way if you don't you get sucked into a roater, parachute gets cut and you fall to your death. We were testing it on my clan's server today, didn't have anything nice as I was the "test subject"... lol

lol OP, I had a similar situation, right after one of the patches the loot spawns were messe dup and for the life of me I could not find food in the towns I was raiding, even grocery stores were bare. After almost 3 hours and with a blinking food icon I find food! Only to get zombie agro =/ Short vid of it: (Just skip to the middle if impatient)

Minus the debate here, I wanted to point out a few things you seemed to do wrong in your situation. 1. It's good you scouted the area out, but if someone has a suit on it's hard to see them. A. If you don't drop your gfx to the lowest settings to make bushes disappear and make it easy to spot players at a distance then you put yourself at a disadvantage. I have everything turned down when I play and so does my clan and we spot people all the time trying to hide in bushes that are not there to us because the gfx for it are off to us. I don't care if people have a $1000 gfx card and you like the pretty shadows and post processing, I will see them before they see me. 2. You both left and stayed together, slowly moving down the hill huh? A. That's a ripe target if I ever saw one. Next time, one of you get a head start, while the other stays back a bit or at the tree line and see what happens. You should also be running and zig zagging down that hill, not crouch running and holding hands. That little extra bit of speed can mean life and death, and in this scenerio, it saved your life when you ran back up into the woods. B. Also make sure if you can approach a town, don't do it in the open, I know sometimes there isn't much cover to some towns going in, but that town does have approaches that have cover or very short gaps between the trees and town. 3. When someone gets sniped, run. A. In most cases when someone goes down, if you prone you are a dead man as well becuase in most cases the sniper has elevation on you and can still see you while you are prone, it sounds like this was a rare case where the nearby terrain helped you, in flat open fields it's a death sentence and why I avoid them like the plague (I don't go to stary very often due to the fields there). Here is an example of my clan leader sniping some guys ina field: If they had run, they would have had a chance.So my point in all of this is, maybe it's not the guns or the snipers themselves that's all the problem here, some of your tactics and gameplay are not right as well. I had to learn a lot of these lessons the hard way myself when I was new, now snipers don't concern me as I don't put myself in their scopes very often.

How do you find it "fun" to run in an open field or in front of popular/known sniper areas just to be sniped by people. Are you seriously that noobish? Stay in the tree line and hug the buildings next time nubsauce and you won't get your head blown off by a camper. I run amock in cherno and Elecktro all the time and almost never get popped cause I don't run in straight lines out in the open.

Happened to me about a week aog, some hacker was watching my twitch stream and turned me into a bore and then a goat, then a dog, and then a army soldier while I was stuck on a roof. Later he spawned a huey for me, then turne dme back into a goat when I died. I trolled a few people as a goat, they can hear you in direct comms btw. You are going to be "banning" a lot of other servers this is happening to. In most cases there is nothing anyone can do right now until the security hole in the game gets fixed or patched.

It's not a shotgun, just has a shotgun round symbol for ammo, it actually fires a .44 Henry round and is termed a "repeating rifle".

I almost always roll with an Enfield. They are easy to get, powerful, and have decent range. For those who think you can't get people at far distances, here's my clanmate Nicram nailing someone pretty far away with one: I find most people at close/mid ranges myself, so this weapon is perfect for most of these situations, I like to keep a markov or 1911 just in case people get in my face in buildings though. The best part of the wepaon is if you die, you know you can find another one a lot faster then a DMR or .50 cal. I stay near the coast to hunt people these days and rather not spend a few hours up north collecting crap I will just lose anyways.

LOL I rolled into a tree truck to hid under the pine branches, insta-death. I've also had clan mates open doors on other clan mates and kill them with it.

Glad you had fun with it, but as others of said, I would get rid of it. If you can arrange it, take your stuff off and store it, and then ram that thing out in the ocean. You can probably land it in water and survive as well, just hop out before it blows. I had a hacker a few nights ago target me while streaming on twitch and he spawned a few of these, we played around with them and then crashed them to get rid of them. He turned me into a goat too....
