Hello there, I just logged on DayZ today, after I finished work. And everything was gone except my gear in my normal inventory. I were playing ealier today and had all my gear back then. But when i logged on just now, I lost all the gear, my bag and my toolbelt items, and my player were placed at a diffrent spot! What could have caused this? And Yes I am aware of it's still in alpha, but that doesn't make me less curious about the moved character.. EDIT: Last server I played on earlier today was DE100 EU6 (before I went to work) The last server I logged on where I've lost my gear and the character was moved were on DE 627 (I still have my mags'n stuff)

It's that bad, but I already stopped playing.... Yah the reviews were right lol I was too fast out whining about nothing, my apology to Rocket and his team...

I am so dissapointed in almost every way possible. A lot of my friends and I, were really looking forward to the standalone, and our hopes were set up for a big graphical improvement. We're around 15 - 18 people, who have been playing DayZ for at long time, including the other mods based on the DayZ mod (Lingor etc.). When we read that, the DayZ game engine is going to be an Arma 2.5 engine (So called DayZ 2.5), we lost all our hope for an awesome, game we had our hopes up for more! And watching theese screenshots makes us even more dissapointed, even tho. this is early deveopment phase, we know it get better visually than this, this the ugly buggy shit as before, sorry but I'm so dissapointed and angry! Our groupe achully have decided to go with WarZ because of this major flaw in choice of engine. I don't even know what to say anymore, this is just a big fail. OP is so right, how can no one see it. Haven't you had any expectations? I expected a quality game based on Arma 3 engine. DARN it! Can't really say fuck you, because we have had a greate time playing DayZ mod, but we really wanna say it anyway! Fuck you :'( BAD Choice is a bad choice! :(

Some friends and I were playing today, having a good time as usual in Dayz, a friend had some troubles in Elektro, being shot at, and eventually killed by then, so we thought we would go help him out a little. When we arrived (we walked fom stary sobor), were the snipers gone, and we could just chill, gearing our mate again, but a chopper suddenly appears, and we see it severeral times flying around of before crashing! A big fire i suddenly going on, and a second chopper appears next to the crashed one, we thought it might be a glitch, and took it for a spin, we thought it couldn't hurt! We are suddenly getting shot at with by some big a** guns, and I dodge most of the shots. I then fly away, getting chased by yet another chopper, while seing another one on the ground! I start recording everything, and have some recordings on the hacking if you want to, I then flew around, looking all over the place for stuff to loot. I then turn back to get more footage of the hacking, resulting in seeing another chopper, and after that loose connection. The time it happened was between - ~22:10 - 23:xx (real time, GMT +2) Server time - ~21:30 Names of the hackers - Eier (we think this is the guy hacking) Kimka05 (we think this guy might also be hacking, and with Eier) My friends stayed at them while i was flying around the map, and kept telling me he spawed cloth called soldier clothing, and other hacked and in-game items (Everything from Choppers, ATV's, bikes, guns, cloth and so on) PM me for footage, because I need to cut it since it's about 1½ hours of recording.

Lol, you all deserved to die! I was playing with my mates for a whole week, where we drove around in a bus, we never got killed, even though we ran into a trouble! You make it sound like it's very normal for you guys! He deserved it! Disconnecting dickhead, I would normally have let the corps of people lie back, so you could get some of your stuff back, but in a case like this, they all deserved their body hidden. I applaud the effort the "hackers" put into this!

Same, i miss the feeling OP have, when finding an enfield and other junk... Thuse dayz!

Fail! They are a legit spawn! Satchel Charges just have a very low spawn chance! They are spawning in barracks etc.

Kinda, although I did not jump to another server, and the server I lost my gear on, is a server that is a HIVE reg. server, and my friends are playing there (Although I usually play on DE100), but I ealier deleted my DayZ files because I made a private server, this might have interfered, tho it sounds unrealistic. I usually don't have problems with saving or anything when logging out since there is usually more than 30 mins between every time i log. But it sounds something a like my problem, although your problem sounds way more anoying. _____________________ I hope there might be an admin or someone, who can explain what happen, especially with the character being in some town I haven't been in for almost 10 days, about 3.5 km from the last place I logged. I don't mind dying or losing my gear like this since it's a alpha, but I'm still interrested in what happened.

I Request tent-swipe on EU 40 As mentioned, I were earlier killed as i attented theese tents on EU 40 near Palovo, the farm just outside the side up north'n road. I have attached a picture of the tents, they have been duplicating or something, anyway. I was killed by someone guarding the tents today, and thought I would look into it. I hope you will considering swipeing them. I have been playing Dayz on daily basis since patch 1.4xx, and I've been throug a lot. I'm a very patient person, and I do not mind dieing even tho I've collected GPS, rangefinder, night vision etc. it's the game! But I can't stand DEM server jumpers! my friend had my back today, and this guy appeared before me, I didn't shoot him, because he just spawned, suddenly I take a bullet to the head, this guy just loggs out again and doesn't log in for the loot. Even thoug i only had a Makarov and nothing els, he shot me.. And he did not even bother to loot my corps. That really bothers me and pisses me of a lot! Why the f*** do you shoot someone, and not even loot his corps. I never had this problem when I was playing in 1.4xx since we had the bandit system, I'm tired of getting killed for no reason what so ever, almost so tired I'm achully considering to stop playing this wonderful mod, because of this issue.. The fun is not to just kill someone, you could play any other fps game for that reason, but the fun lays in the struggle and battle for the gear and supplies, so why don't people go to the airfield, and get a real opponent instead of someone with a f****** Makarov.... srly, I don't mind loosing all end game gear, but I f****** mind getting killed for no f****** reason! HAVE SOME GOD D*** Dignity! Sorry for my english, I am very tired and frustrated on the same time, just had to "roar" out my fustration... To Rocket! Can't thank you enough for all that work and time you have put into this mod, I can't express how much I love playing it! It's amazing how far it have come already, even tho it's still and alpha. But untill you have found a solution to this issue I'm afraid I wont be playing it that often, untill... EDIT: The side chat system was really good. For the direct chat, an considerably change in distance would be well-reputed.

I've had cars, busses and even and half broken HELI, lost it all in vegas... Just joking didn't lose it in Vegas, but I lost it because I don't team up in big clans stashing my my gear just because to lazy to gear up my self pff... This guy only had and AKM, ASK or whatever... It's the meaningless killing and server jump wich bothers me... You could play any fps if you wanted meaningless killing or server jumping... slry

Well, this seems quite interresting.. Remember to Zero the crossbow before shooting, that will greatly improve the accuracy of the crossbow. You do not necessarily need a non permanent marker, but just some training! Good Luck!

I've noticed a lot of people know who killed them. When I get killed I haven't got a clue who killed me, is there anyway I'm able to see that, since it doesn't show the name of my killer in the chat!

It might have been last week or the week before that, I came across an extremely TV- or/and radioantenna. It was Red & White. I did not accompany myself with a map at that moment, so I waren't able to figure out my own position. I were then killed by a bandit / random guy laying in the grass. Do anyone know the Antennas location, towns located nerby or so.. I would really like to explore this place!

Buy ARMA II, and install DayZ they said! IT will be fun they said! AND THEY WERE RIGHT! You have to download the new version 1.7.1.5 and the DayZ beta patch in here! http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php (pick the latest) Then open ARMAIIOA from the folder, and enable the expansion! This is an Alpha, what did you really expect? I think the game is awesome tho! I'm glad i have the opportunity to improve this projekt and mod!

Hello Co-survivors, I just picked up an M9 SD today, but I cannot seem to find the right ammo type for it... I already picked up a bunch of M9 ammo, but the M9 SD wont load it. Is this a bug, or do the M9 SD simply need special kind of ammo?

Ahh! What a drag :( I dropped my Revolver and 10+ ammo for the M9SD! I kinda regret it now. Although I hope Rocket will fix this, why should the M9 SD use special ammo anyway, it's the same calibre as the std. M9. Thank you for the quick response! :)
