Imjustatourist, stop jumping to conclusions and logically think about it. Firstly, just because one post doesn't say anything about zombies then it doesn't mean they are going to completely remove it; there is a LOT of time until the Beta or Full Game even release, that list isn't EVERYTHING they're going to do for the ENTIRE duration of Alpha, Beta and Full Release Patches; of course they are going to keep zombies, it's called DayZ, it's a damn zombie game... Secondly, What on earth are you talking about? Really? They are optimizing both client and server, even if it doesn't work perfectly with both loot and zombies then I honestly doubt they are going to remove either, What's the game going to be called then? Are they supposed to rebuild the entire engine again?. This makes absolutely no sense. Alas, he is not saying they are removing loot, he is saying in the current optimization, if they removed loot; IF. Come on man, logically think about all of this before it's posted. ---Update--- P.S; There are higher priorities than 'fixing' zombies. -
What I've found so far, it seems to be that way. As if the gas-mask is protecting or blending your identity. Of course this doesn't mean you can run straight toward people without them, I saw a video of Youtubes DevilDogGamer doing this in a "Trying to be friendly" video, he constantly ran to everyone annoying them, they killed him and he said that's why he kills on sight. Being friendly or hero means you'll still have bad encounters, you just have to take precautionary steps to get in and out safe. As for the extra slots, when I go standard clothing (I wear camo, without masks) I craft my own medkits and use carrier cases in my pants or shirt to take up all 4 slots. For every 4 slots in clothing, you will get 6 slots in casing. 20 Clothing = 30 Casing and so on; then just use the quick-select bar (numbers 1-10) to link the most important stuff in your cases, keep the food in a backpack or similar.

I asked in another thread, one user replied because it looks good. It's an unneeded weight that is becoming so more popular with bandits or people becoming bandits; it helps my group really, if we spot somebody with a gas mask then we get in formation with possibility of flanking and there's a 90% chance we'll be absolutely ready to fire if fired upon thus eliminating the threat (which always does happen). To be honest though, the gas mask is hideous compared to a model such as this

It's not even just about "looking good" or "different", it's about blending in with the environment for when the "Zombie Sight" is added, and when encountering other players; you are camouflaged well enough to decide whether to help or leave that person depending on the area around them. You slip in, and out without anybody noticing (Sounds like my last sexual moment) and when under heavy fire you dump your hunting backpack if needed to get camouflaged more, eliminate the enemies and regain your gear or just leave without it.

That he is.. 99% of streamline games use and render tiny maps that nowhere near compare to ArmA 2/DayZ's Chernarus, now slap loot and global synchronization in; there's your reason for lag beardedcap. You can't buy a game such as this and NOT expect lag. -

Just go for Intel/nVidia builds if you have the money to. I'm on AMD/AMD myself at the moment but I'm swapping over as soon as I can. AMD lacks all of the goodies such as nVidia's Shadow Play and the driver package doesn't even seem to update itself anymore because AMD can't get their shit straight without having security risks. Not to mention Intel and nVidia get much better frames. -
The amount of stupid threads I've seen on this today are absolutely fucking ridiculous. Have you EVER seen a pinned thread? Do you even know what they are? "You are not being forced to server hop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" it is your own choice to server hop. NOW READ THE PINNED THREADS. ---Update--- P.S; I was watching stream earlier of some German guy who combat logged (later 'justified' it, apparently it's okay to combat log if you have no gear but another guy does) and server hopped for loot. As soon as I saw that I joined his server, waited until he was geared, then gunned him down and watched him rage quit from the game. That's what combat loggers and server hoppers deserve, we should all unite to do this.

Close... I noticed that certain servers wipe your character, but if you join the previous one then you get your character back. Database issues.

You still don't understand. I am saying that having Devs put in teleportation tools, spawning items and what not goes against everything in DayZ, not to mention that I doubt they will create a single server package just for you. If they were to publicize that then they would have to completely scrap the Public Hive too because admins could spawn guns, join another server and kill people with that gear. I like your original idea, I won't play in the server personally because I'll be hosting my own servers; but I like the idea. I am simply saying that unless you use a custom private hive you will not be able to do these things; and we have yet to know if the custom private hives will even work on the game as opposed to the official public and private, for security and optimization purposes. -

No, I don't think you get the whole idea. How many times do I have to say, I am TALKING ABOUT "Dean Hall" PRIVATE HIVES. rMod has NOTHING to do with any official "dean hall" hives. Speculate and post these ideas of a "mission" like you have, but it will never happen in the official hive, official public or official private. It COMPLETELY goes against EVERYTHING DayZ stands for and what Dean Hall is working for. Why on EARTH would the staff make one server on the public completely different? Like I said, you are looking for a private hive and mods that are not a part of the official branch. I am keeping this as civil as possible, but it is hard to do so when you all are posting ridiculous speculation that will just open the doors wider for hackers. -

I can say that those features are not already in the code because I have looked at the code from extracting the PBO files. The only reason hacks exist now is because there are some exploits which are being worked on; they wouldn't work so much on anti-cheat and closing doorways just to open them again for the benefit of making a video, or so live streamers can see an admin abuse his powers to get views. Try to convince the devs, it sounds like you're new to DayZ because I think everybody here knows that the chances of that happening are 0 to 1. P.S; "the reward is worth the risk by inviting streamers and (of course) the developers to try the server out." That is the most ridiculous thing on these forums. The devs develop admin tools for ONLY your server?. P.P.S; Once again, I am not talking about a "Dean Hall private hive", I am talking about a "Tunngle Private Hive"; in which case your server won't be whitelisted, in fact it will probably just be blacklisted from the entire DayZ server browser. -

Read the various threads on the forums. On top of that, what stops one from using the Vote as Admin thus teleporting to players and killing them? If it's included in the code, then what stops players from extracting the PBO files, finding the call backs and creating an injected file that will utilize those call backs so they can freely cheat or hack in servers. Along with those two, put these in to every server and you have administrators spawning items for themselves and their friends, teleporting their friends because it's "easier than running around the map", they teleport themselves out of action to avoid being killed etc. It has been questioned for a very very long time and every time the answer has been no, unless of course you wait for one of those "Private Hives" that you see on the likes of Tunngle and use them; but you won't find this anywhere near the 'Rocket' Hive. My guess is that you begin thinking of a contingency plan for when that day does come. -
I've been playing DayZ Mod & Standalone since 2010, I have no plan on leaving just yet. What exactly did they get, which they needed?

HARDCORE - 3PP:OFF server/tactics/general

Not sure why you need to update screenshots every day or couple of days, just uses up your time when people could simply search for 3PP:OFF A lot of servers are turning 3PP back on though, I was playing in one yesterday and when it restarted, 3PP was back on; I raged for about 5 minutes over that and then got back to playing. -
ArmA 3 is a bigger flop than my flaccid penis. Alpha was somewhat okay, Beta was terrible, game went to Full Release one day with worse optimization, the most X-Ray vision AI I have ever seen and more covered in bugs than your regular prostitute would be in STI's. I only realized 1 month later that the game had actually been a full release. No comment.. Before Alpha, games took a lot longer because they were just full releases following closed alpha testing, at least we're being involved. There is a lot more to do work to do in DayZ other than satisfy and boost your egotistical needs; if you don't like it then go play "Zoombies" on ArmA 3.

In your original post you asked if the scope grid is bugged because it went to the left, many others say the scope is only bugged because it goes a bit to the left; are you all expecting it to be bang on sight down the crosshairs? What I am saying is that the majority of the time, you will not hit a target exactly on the crosshairs unless you take wind trajectory in to account and elevation. Rifle scopes come with dials to adjust for wind and elevation as do M4 Iron sights and other various sights. Hence, the bug is that it ONLY moves to the left slightly in game. It should move both left and right depending on the wind angle and speed.
