    Close... I noticed that certain servers wipe your character, but if you join the previous one then you get your character back. Database issues.

    You still don't understand. I am saying that having Devs put in teleportation tools, spawning items and what not goes against everything in DayZ, not to mention that I doubt they will create a single server package just for you. If they were to publicize that then they would have to completely scrap the Public Hive too because admins could spawn guns, join another server and kill people with that gear. I like your original idea, I won't play in the server personally because I'll be hosting my own servers; but I like the idea. I am simply saying that unless you use a custom private hive you will not be able to do these things; and we have yet to know if the custom private hives will even work on the game as opposed to the official public and private, for security and optimization purposes.

    No, I don't think you get the whole idea. How many times do I have to say, I am TALKING ABOUT "Dean Hall" PRIVATE HIVES. rMod has NOTHING to do with any official "dean hall" hives. Speculate and post these ideas of a "mission" like you have, but it will never happen in the official hive, official public or official private. It COMPLETELY goes against EVERYTHING DayZ stands for and what Dean Hall is working for. Why on EARTH would the staff make one server on the public completely different? Like I said, you are looking for a private hive and mods that are not a part of the official branch. I am keeping this as civil as possible, but it is hard to do so when you all are posting ridiculous speculation that will just open the doors wider for hackers.

    I can say that those features are not already in the code because I have looked at the code from extracting the PBO files. The only reason hacks exist now is because there are some exploits which are being worked on; they wouldn't work so much on anti-cheat and closing doorways just to open them again for the benefit of making a video, or so live streamers can see an admin abuse his powers to get views. Try to convince the devs, it sounds like you're new to DayZ because I think everybody here knows that the chances of that happening are 0 to 1. P.S; "the reward is worth the risk by inviting streamers and (of course) the developers to try the server out." That is the most ridiculous thing on these forums. The devs develop admin tools for ONLY your server?. P.P.S; Once again, I am not talking about a "Dean Hall private hive", I am talking about a "Tunngle Private Hive"; in which case your server won't be whitelisted, in fact it will probably just be blacklisted from the entire DayZ server browser.

    Read the various threads on the forums. On top of that, what stops one from using the Vote as Admin thus teleporting to players and killing them? If it's included in the code, then what stops players from extracting the PBO files, finding the call backs and creating an injected file that will utilize those call backs so they can freely cheat or hack in servers. Along with those two, put these in to every server and you have administrators spawning items for themselves and their friends, teleporting their friends because it's "easier than running around the map", they teleport themselves out of action to avoid being killed etc. It has been questioned for a very very long time and every time the answer has been no, unless of course you wait for one of those "Private Hives" that you see on the likes of Tunngle and use them; but you won't find this anywhere near the 'Rocket' Hive. My guess is that you begin thinking of a contingency plan for when that day does come.

    HARDCORE - 3PP:OFF server/tactics/general

    Not sure why you need to update screenshots every day or couple of days, just uses up your time when people could simply search for 3PP:OFF A lot of servers are turning 3PP back on though, I was playing in one yesterday and when it restarted, 3PP was back on; I raged for about 5 minutes over that and then got back to playing.

    Duration of alpha

    ArmA 3 is a bigger flop than my flaccid penis. Alpha was somewhat okay, Beta was terrible, game went to Full Release one day with worse optimization, the most X-Ray vision AI I have ever seen and more covered in bugs than your regular prostitute would be in STI's. I only realized 1 month later that the game had actually been a full release. No comment.. Before Alpha, games took a lot longer because they were just full releases following closed alpha testing, at least we're being involved. There is a lot more to do work to do in DayZ other than satisfy and boost your egotistical needs; if you don't like it then go play "Zoombies" on ArmA 3.

    Long range scope bug?

    In your original post you asked if the scope grid is bugged because it went to the left, many others say the scope is only bugged because it goes a bit to the left; are you all expecting it to be bang on sight down the crosshairs? What I am saying is that the majority of the time, you will not hit a target exactly on the crosshairs unless you take wind trajectory in to account and elevation. Rifle scopes come with dials to adjust for wind and elevation as do M4 Iron sights and other various sights. Hence, the bug is that it ONLY moves to the left slightly in game. It should move both left and right depending on the wind angle and speed.

    None of that is ever going to happen for DayZ server hosters, "game masters", administrators, players or anybody for that matter.

    Funniest thing you've seen/done?

    Here's two more, First is this video which I recorded of our (then) newest group member after he tried to climb down a ladder Second is on one of my latest videos but I'll post the story part. So I was in Elektro and I heard shots snap past as I ran toward the shop; immediately I thought "sniper hill". I drew more fire to find out exactly what angle it was coming from (The person really couldn't shoot straight so it was okay to go outside) and surely enough it was the hill. I got one of my group members to flank around rear whilst I hit the front (Southern part of the hill) and root them out, we never went deep enough in to the hill. I returned to the shop and whilst there, my group member began taking fire from two guys so I rushed back from the south. I saw my group member laying in the grass to the south western part of the hill, I moved around East and headed up behind trees. I saw one of their heads move through the grass so I shot 3-4 bullets, then ran toward a tree and when moving up I saw his friend stick his head of the side of a tree he was behind so I took cover at a tree, leaned out and gave him a few headshots, took both of them out. I ran back to my buddies unconscious body, gave him saline, bandaged him and he was perfect again. Two people attempted to KoS a group member, I took both of them out; they lost tons of ammo (One of them had about 10 M4 Magazines, that made me chuckle since it was a waste of space) and other gear such as the full map, good scopes for their M4's and what not. On top of that, they hadn't even managed to kill a single person in that little firefight, that's the price they paid :P

    Funniest thing you've seen/done?

    That was annoying... Funniest thing I seen first hand was at the NWAF about 1-2 weeks ago. I went up with my group to help get one of them fully geared up, whilst up there I put my M4 on my back and requested my snipers Mosin to scout the field as I have the furthest view distance. I saw a fully geared guy on the roof of the firestation (just the roof, not the tower) who was looting around. I began deciding whether I risk leaving him go and possibly getting shot at later, or taking him out right there. He was looking around the roof for a way off and he ran to the right side of the station (opposite side of the main ladder to climb up and down), by the little doorway that has the shelter on top. He walked over the ledge on to the shelter, he slid right off the shelter; landed on the ground and instantly died. I have never laughed so hard at DayZ.

    Bored? Try this new play style.

    Done it, replaced backpack with largest-slot clothes and compiled everything in to carrier cases along with crafting my own medkits. Now I go out of my way to make sure I have saline bags if we're unconscious, need blood, or keep my bag with enough supplies and bullets so my group can scavenge my goodies and share it.

    Most of you people obviously know nothing of wind trajectory. The bug is not that it moves a bit left even with a bipod, the bug is that it ONLY moves left and not in random paths judging from the strength and angle of the wind.
  21. I'm not sure exactly how much was removed in this engine build compared to ArmA 2; but this should be possible judging from SMK Animations from ArmA 2.

It's not the whole conversation of removing or keeping or "fixing" KOS that pisses me off, it's the fact that people keep making new threads every day, when there's a perfectly fine Thread Right Here that all of your "threads" can go in to and fit perfectly; instead of cluttering up my General Discussion section by the day.

    Accuracy comparison: DayZ vs ARMA 2

    There would be a major increase in forum posts complaining about it because it's not as easy as every game these days to shoot (I was talking about it to a few last night, games have seriously been 'dumbed' down now compared to 10 or even 20 years ago) but at least we would root out the skilled players that way and could hold together a group of decent servers with tactical and enjoyable players. Gone are the days in ArmA 2 ACE where you can become a sniper or spotter and have a good conversation with your partner via teamspeak and ACRE whilst enjoying yourself; now all groups require you to attend 3-4 days a week and call the highest ranking member (16 years old most likely) 'Sargent' or 'Lieutenant' and calling anything else gets you abused by a bunch of estrogen filled kids. I say we suggest it for DayZ Standalone, it would fix the accuracy issue by implementing realistic numbers and ballistics. I know it is Alpha, but I'm not too sure whether I like where the gun-style is going in regards to accuracy and how easy it is to use certain weapons.
