EMC would never agree to support your scenario. We have our product in data center protected by bullet proof glass. Just like Battle Eye shouldn't have accepted to support the Arma engine. Just proving my point more. -

Excuse me if I am wrong which I don't think I am (I work in software development). If my medical software company hired EMC for security, which we do and we have a breach of patient information which is federal violation EMC would be responsible for the breach and to fix the security hole. Why would Bohemia contract out to protect their intellectual property and not have them responsible? Hog wash. -

Well Rocket CAN NOT use "African Foliage" my friend not without the say so from the creator. Although it is all under Bohemia Interactive umbrella. If DayZ mod was legit with the game company then they could take any community modification legally. It is Bohemia Interactive IP no matter what. So is Dayz actually.

So easy to mod Arma2. Chenarus is 225 sq. km. Max map size I believe is 512 sq. km. The map could be twice as large now. You could add a north snow area and a southern tropical area, or jungle. There are so many assets from Arma2 not much would need to be created.

They have custom or private hive servers but your character will not transfer over to a legit hive controlled server. Although it doesn't stop cheating. -

GUID spoof. So they figured out an encrypted system that is controlled by a central hive? Seems far fetched. Sounds like noobs bought another copy of the game. There was a way that they got around bans but that was from tricking the server they were actually on so you couldn't obtain their real GUID. Trying to hash out an algorithm for encrypted serial keys is a nightmare and a waste of time.
