Hello everyone,
I'm in a situation that I don’t fully understand at the moment. 11 years ago, I played DayZ and received a Global BE/VAC ban. I never cheated, and I never understood why I was banned. I've always defended myself against accusations like "you're cheating, you got banned, it's normal." Honestly, I probably would’ve said the same thing before it happened to me.
The fact is that now, I can connect to BattlEye-protected servers, such as PUBG and Arma III. I’m not sure about PUBG, but for Arma III, it's clear that a Global BE ban would have prevented me from joining protected servers if it were still active. Therefore, I deduce that my Global BE ban has been revoked. I’m not here to prove my innocence anymore; I’ve done that enough, and I’m tired of doing so. If my Global BE ban was lifted, it means there was justice involved.
So far, so good, but the issue is that I still have the VAC in-game ban associated with DayZ on Steam. Yet, following the same logic, if my Global BE ban was removed because it was judged to be an error, then the VAC in-game ban should have been lifted as well.
Now, I’m in a rather unconventional situation, and I don’t know who I should turn to:
Bohemia Interactive only replies with automated messages telling me that requests to remove a Global BE ban can only be handled by BattlEye support, even though I’m no longer globally banned and that’s not the reason for my request.
Steam Support hasn’t replied.
BattlEye is no longer involved, as the Global Ban has been lifted.
If anyone has any advice or direction, I’d greatly appreciate it!
