Like I said, it's not available yet on DayZCommander. So either you wait, or just download it with the link I provided. The installation is easy, just replace the @DayZOrigins folder with the one you downloaded, it's usually in C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/arma 2 operation arrowhead.

It is DayZ Origins, they released a new patch today. It's not available yet on DayZCommander, but you can download it here.

It's really sad what DayZ has turned into. 90% of the servers are just L33T S3RV3R 1000+ VEHICLES, 500 REPAIRED CHOPPERS, CUSTOM LOADOUT: START WITH AS50 + M9SD + GHILLIE + COYOTE + NVG'S + RANGEFINDERS + ALL TOOLS....but wait, there's more! MOAR CUSTOM BUILDINGZ INCLUDING 20 BARRACKS ON BOTH AIRFIELDS, FIRESTATIONS ON EVERY SPAWN, INCREASED LOOT CHANCE etc etc. I'm obviously exaggerating, but you get the idea. DayZ used to be all about survival, now it's just deathmatch fun servers, this is bullshit. I have yet to find a good, populated vanilla server, so I'd be very greatful is someone suggested one.

I was actually sad when it got removed, I really enjoyed it, but people just duped them, so they weren't rare.

Can't find a good enough server to reach that much. The last one I played on had like -270k.

I was very dissapointed when I found out that there is no cure. He doesn't drop anything besides a toolbox, a map or a GPS. And the devs changing the special item drop from 3% to 10% and all that shit - bullocks.

Okay, so I've got this really awesome place, found it on my first week of playing DayZ. Not playing Chernarus anymore, so I can reveal the secret. It's covered from all sides, and you can only see it if you run past it by like 5 meters. It's important to pitch the tent right. I've been playing DayZ for about 6 months now, and it was only raided legitimately once, when me and my buddy left a big blue betty van near it with a sign "HEY GUYS THERE'S A CAR HERE SO THERE ARE PROBABLY TENTS AROUND HERE, TOO." PM me if you want to know the location.

Changing the view distance won't help, it is determined by the server, not the client. But if you want to play DayZ with reasonable fps, I think you should upgrade your PC, because this rig won't run it better. Maybe you'll get +/- 5 fps with some tweaks.

Yeah, the thing about flashlights is that you should never have it turned on all the time, I just illuminate the loot places to see if something's there, and immediately turn it off.

G17 second weakest sidearm in the game? In my opinion, it's the second best sidearm after the M9 SD. Zombies should be killed only with headshots, and you got your rifle to take care of players, not the sidearm. So, the G17 has a high capacity mag, which means you don't need to reload that often, and you get much more ammo when you find a mag PLUS it can use M9 and M9SD ammo, keep that in mind. The sights on the sidearm are pretty good, so you can easily headshot zombies with 1 bullet. It's also more quiet than an M1911 or a Makarov, and it has an attached flashlight, so if you like playing at night time, G17 is the sidearm you should use. (Don't ever run with the flashlight on.) Nevertheless, that's a good guide you wrote :)
