I think a new patch came out today. Try looking for it on their website.

To build a level 1 bandit house, you need to be a level 1 bandit. To build a level 2 house, you need to be a level 2 bandit and so on. Same goes for heroes. I think the difference between houses is that you can store more gear in it...could be, I'm not sure. But I'm sure that a level 3 house comes with a garage.

Those games are not ArmA2 :) But yeah, if you know that it's relatively cool, then should be a problem somewhere else.

You should definitely do that. I was feeling kinda like you right now, and gave up on DayZ. Then I checked out Origins, and now I'm playing every day, probably more than I should :D

Much better. You can now build your own houses and garages to store gear and cars in. I'm not even playing DayZ anymore, just Origins.

I agree with most of the things you wrote, but in my opinion, a survivor should start completely without gear. Maybe just a bandage in your pocket, nothing more.

Hey, have you tried DayZ Origins? It's a really awesome DayZ mod (yes, mod for a mod). I've pretty much given up on DayZ until I stumbled upon Origins, now I'm playing a lot. I mean, really a lot. The map is Taviana, I think it's much better than Cherno, kinda better feel to it with the big abandoned cities. A humanity system with different skins and levels. Survivor made vehicles with an option to upgrade them. Mad Max, eh? An awesome island called Salvation City, that's where the best gear is. You need to have a heli or a boat to get there, but beware of aggressive NPCs. You can build your own house and a garage, too. How sweet is that? It's so awesome. Give it a go. Also, I've been playing for a couple of months and I have only encountered a hacker once, that's a big plus.

Good job, but I think Green Mountain should be yellow. I've been playing DayZ for 6 months and I've only met a player there once or twice.

Nice, good luck with that. We tried the same with my friend, both of us had ~ -250k. But everything changed when we saw a heli land near us. Once you go bandit, you never go back.
