They had a main hive update. I think some servers aren't updated yet or something. The only option is to wait :) -

False. It's actually easier to spot a player with a backpack. You can hear a pumping heartbeat on a survivor, too. And bloody legs is just a glitch when you change to camo, or when your legs are broken.
