  1. It goes into fullscreen, albeit black, then crashes immediately afterwards. I've really no way of fixing this ingame, I don't consider myself an idiot on the matter of PC's, I can usually get any game to run (I have Arma 2 on another PC on lower than low, even), but this I have no idea. Just crashes before the game start, not even giving me a chance to adjust settings : (

  2. I honestly don't know if you can run ArmA II with a 525m, although you should be able to albeit on minimum settings. How are you setting it as the main card?

CYRI says I am more than able to run the game :/ I set the "main card" in the Nvidia Control Panel. Allows me to choose between the 525 or the integrated card. Really my PC works well, but has a problem with Arma. It's comparable to how the Macs with integrated HD 3000 intel card couldn't run Assassin's Creed 2, before they switched to their GT650M.

Get a gaming PC? I'm running ArmA 2 on my laptop with an AMD Radeon HD 6370m, and it works, but the FPS goes down to 15-20 in Cherno, for example.

That would be a genuinely good solution, but my PC can already play demanding games like Battlefield, and as mentioned, CYRI says I am more than able to run Arma 2.

  3. Hey there! I have a rather serious problem, neither Arma 2 or Arma 2 OA will start at all. I launch the game, after the initial loading (the one with the white bar, and the several squares being filled) the game goes fullscreen, then crashes immediately, giving the "Arma2OA.exe has stopped working". I've tried messing around with the settings, such as making my GT 525m card the main one in the computer (I have a GT525m, and an Intel® HD Graphics Family) I've been told that the fact that my Intel card is integrated in the motherboard, means that I can't play Arma 2. However, launching Arma 2 wih GT525 as my main card, it still won't launch. I've genuinely tried everything I could to make this work, and I am out of ideas. Does anyone have any ideas that could help me run the game? I really want to play it with my friends : )

  4. I won't lie, it seems as if the zombies are already there, but I might just agree with this fella. I once got spotted in Cherno and had to shoot the zombies with my Enfield, I eventually killed 70 zombies (there were more too, I just ran for it). that just kept coming relentlessly. My theory is that you kill a few zombies, a few zombies are gonna spawn a bit away from you, but as the enfield is so fucking loud, those zombies are eventually attracted to you.

  5. what if multiple users use that one steam account?

That is, and has always been a shitty excuse. I used to be an admin on a Garry's Mod server, and I can't tell you how many times some idiot pulled the: "IT WAS MY BROTHA!!!!11!". If you are 1 or more people using a Steam account, it is your responsibility to make sure that you act accordingly to rules.

  6. I've never experienced anything like that.. Well there was the time where I had the flashlight and jack shit.. Then again I was stalking the fella, and would kill him a hundred times if I had the chance (he did end up shooting me in the face after I tried to make a small dance for him).

You should relish the fact, that you killed someone with nothing, instead of killing a guy with tons of gear. That would be really sad.

I love the PVP. I try to say I'm not a bandit, I usually only kill for self defense (really, when you are staring at a fella and he is staring at you, it's really only a matter of time before one of you falls. You might aswell make sure it will be him), but when I see someone I think I have a decent shot on, I just go at it. Even if I just see a fella for a second, I will hunt him down and kill him. I don't know.. I just find murdering other players.. Fun? The rush I get from battling someone else is immense, I mean.. The chances of death are so much larger than when battling a Z.

As I am writing this I have just picked off 3 people with my Enfield in less than 10 minutes. All of it happened in the Chernogorsk Apartments, all of them took 1-2 shots. After I had killed them I decided my luck had run out, and that I should probably leave before someone would gun me down.

  7. Alright, so we've got a lot of complaints from people that "the start is too damn hard, you bastards, we got NOTHING", which I can almost agree with, seeing as I just before was shot by the very same person I was stalking. (When he spotted me I opted to go for the BARRELROLL and try to do a small dance)

Many people want the Makarov back, but that makes it too easy? A lot of people don't want it back in either, but that makes it too hard?

    SOLUTION!:

    Melee weapon.

You spawn with a small melee weapon (this will also fix ANYONE's realism argument, as everyone has a knoife or something else). The melee weapons are SHIT, but they are enough to keep you alive. I found a hatchet before I found a gun at all. I just sprinted around Elektro (because I was so flipping bored, and I had nothing to do), when I came over this fella, heavily armed and all, inspecting a crate. I just went over to him and smashed his brains in. It was quite enjoyable.

So how about it? Melee weps arent overpowered. The only time you will get fragged by a guy with a melee wep, he's sneakin' up on ya. And the melee weps will deal with the 2 or 3 zombies that before would have been devastating.

That.. Or you could give a makarov, lower dmg of it, and give only 1 mag (while lowering makarov mag droprate).
