    Perhaps you fail to understand the nature of this game. You've got some stuff... Someone else wants it. They kill you and take it. MIght not seem fair to you, life and DayZ rarely are. While I do personally believe being murdered along the coast with no weapon is bs, it still happens. It's happened to me, and more than likely a large section of the player base. As for your original question, you might disagree with the "shoot or be shot" motto in this case, but it's always the case. Espically when you head to PVP HOTSPOTS like cherno or Elektro. In short, expect to be killed. Kill first or die yourself. It's the nature of the game.

    Use the beta patch, sounds alot like you're in the debug forest/plains. Could be wrong but... try running east for a couple minutes, you should return to civilization. If you encounter this again, I'd make sure you're running the most recent beta and dayz files, etc.

    Actually, now I'm wondering if the traps make noise when they go off. Anyone know? That would be a pretty sweet sniper protection item. Also, damn this topic. Whenever I try to quick reply it says the title is too long and I can't post unless I modify the freakin title, forcing me to have to do the normal reply option. /vent over

    You do realize the dev's of dayz didn't make this map right? That's why there are houses that can't be entered. Figuring out which houses can and can't be entered is part of the learning curve. It's also just a bit unrealistic that every building should be enter able. Some would be blocked off, partly destroyed or blocked with rubble. But, since you're gonna hear it over and over again here I'll spell it out for ya: Alpha is Alpha.

    Not sure. I think its a "murder" if you kill a survivor (non bandit) and bandit kill if you kill a bandit (makes sense right?). Of course this all requires that someone, somewhere start the cycle. But judging by this forum that wouldn't take long lol.

    The old "ALICE pack full of trash in the middle of the road so when someone tries to pick it up I shoot them in the face" trick? No. But that is a good one. I use something similar to that sometimes. I was actually referring to calling out for help. Then when someone shows up you blast them. Of course, extra fun if they thought I was an easy target, or actually believed I was in critical condition. Bonus points if they brought me legit med supplies or food. :D

    Just had that happen to me. There's some kinda glitch where sometimes you don't take dmg. Unloaded almost a full clip on full auto with my aks74 kobra. He shot me once with his mak. I die, he's not even bleeding. And yes, I did check my aim. It's plausible that some of those rounds missed him (sure looked like they all went into his chest from my pov) but he should have atleast been bleeding.

    Never trust anyone. Even if they say they are friendly. Protip: The further north you are, the less likely you'll run into someone who's "friendly". Having said that, unless they are unarmed, I would say shoot first, ask questions later. Otherwise the only question you'll be asking yourself is "Why didn't I shoot first?"

    I'm currently holding onto a PDW, it was the first seconday I found when I spawned in elektro. Since I wanted to get the hell outta dodge while the gettin was good, I kept it. While ammo is common as has been said, it kinda feels weak, imo.

    LOL... Ok, successful troll on us...xD Yes, I'm sure most of us are familiar with auto correct. However, I think we all assumed you were talking about the autocomplete feature in arma2... lol

    I had a similar situation happen today. However, it was just me and him. He came at me with his hatchet, it was no match for the ak74. He proceeded to climb up a ladder, making finishing him off all the easier. He didn't log, he totally died. Maybe he bled out? I didn't get the kill.

    Hey buddy, how's it going? I saw you from the police station. You shot at me... Not nice. I saw someone climbing up the ladder to get you. But you shot at me. I coulda saved you, but you didn't want any of that. I hope he enjoyed your loot.
