I think if rocket or someone were going to work out what the end game is all about, they would have to work out why we are all washing up on the beach, I mean why are we here, why did we come here, is it because the whole world is infected and we all trying to escape here, or is it only Chernarus is it surrounded by an exclusion zone and why what happened here? Find a feasible answer to these questions and you are half way to working out the end game. I use to love minecraft, but Notch is a lazy **** who never finished Minecraft,( what about the oceans, no fish, no sea weed etc...?) The OP is right on this score, rocket heed the curse of Notch, please don't get bigger than your boots.

How about some burning wooden torches and pitch forks, then we can have some good old fashioned villager mobs, makes for some great zombie burnings and bandit lynchings. P.s. I do like the candles and lanterns idea.

How to Fix Barbed Wire/TankTrap/Sandbag Problems
JagerWulf replied to U.B.C.S. Ravin's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I've posted this before in the thread called, "Barbwire really?" by Hedich, I think it's a good solution and i want it to have a bit more air time, so please consider, How to fix the Barb wire problem. 1) Decrease the spawn rate of barbwire reels. 2) Barbwire can only be place outside of structures and in dirt or grass only. - Barbwire can be place on concrete, but requires a sandbag structure on ether side to hold up wire. 3) making a barb wire fence should be a multi task situation and take time 1-2 minutes per reel. -Putting up Barbwire, A) hammering poles/pickets into the grounds, needs hammer or hatchet and makes noise while hammering. B) threading or placing barbwire, requires a barbwire reel and tool kit, also still makes noise while working. -Taking down Barbwire, requires wire cutters, this will still make noise as the wire is springy and recoils when cut. Al-thou it's possible for one player to still set up a barb wire fence, it would be far safer to do it as a group effort. As for Tank traps, WTF!?! how many zombies are there driving around in tanks, were the local farmers scared of giant cows or something, why are they even here, any tank traps in the game would already have been placed by the military, you should not able to carry them around at all, there suppose to be made from steel girders and weigh a ton after all there suppose to stop tanks. Sandbag's I don't really have a problem with, they seem to work just fine to me in the game, you can vault over them, the only thing sand bags are really useful for is stopping bullets and hiding behind while in a fire fight. thank you for reading. -

Does it matter really. They still are not going to be as fast as some of the infected in the game. Depends on the environment and how hydrated the infected are, if the enviroment is to cold or to hot they will to dried out and be stiff or to frozen and stiff this of course happens over a couple of days not hours, but if it's semi nice weather with some rain then they will stay fairly limber of movement and therefore be able to move fast. Ok so the game would need to reflect that. Rocket has mentioned that the temp gauge is not working yet and they would be getting around to it sooner or latter fixing it, but I also get the impression that it would be effecting the players more than the infected.

I like the Idea of having horses in a game that's based around a farming communities, they would be quieter than a car or motorbike, could eat grass from the fields so food should not be that much of a problem and it can drink from the ponds, you would need at least a bit & bridal to ride with better results when one gets a saddle and saddle bags for more storage space, which would unfortunatly lead to a new type of bandit the horse thief, if to many undead are around the horse could get spooked and bolt making you chase after it, I think that's a great idea to add to the game/mod.

Yep sorry my typo to auto type mmorpg, yes your kind'a right about the mmo bit, although I think it would have to more like 500- 5000 players per server to really qualify.

I think we should be able to rejuvenate our blood, be it not very quickly more like 1000pts per 24hr day or even 500pts of blood per 24hr day, we do it in real life why not in the game. Yes I know eating food does it and finding a blood bag and a friendly player you can trust will also fix the problem but slim chance of that these days.

The infected in DayZ are not really following the "norm" when it comes to being a dead walker, I don't even think they are dead, they may look like it, smell like it, but they don't fully act like it, they act more like dazed confused very sick people who have become violently psychotic and cannibalistic and can ignore great amounts of pain, but when you shot them they tend to die just like normal people, although a head shot will put them down, so will a few body shots as well, the term infected has been used a few times and think what we’re looking at here is normal people who have become infected by some sort of virus. If the truth be told I can tell you there definitely not zombies, as zombies only come from voodoo magic, so unless Rocket has a Voodoo priest hidden away somewhere on the map, casting spells on people to bind them to the priests will, then there not zombies. The normal type of Undead walkers were used to seeing in such movies as, “Night of the living dead, Dawn of the dead” and Tv shows such as, “The walking dead” etc.. Are the ones that can only be destroyed by traumatic head injuries that destroy the brain are the Undead we know and love, these types of Undead are very recognisable by their missing limbs, varied state of decay and slow moving shambling walk, unless there fresh of course. Food for thought. P.S. Totally disagree with the mmorpg and classes idea.

How to Fix Barbed Wire/TankTrap/Sandbag Problems
JagerWulf replied to U.B.C.S. Ravin's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think the problem with the barb wire is that it's to easy to find, I've had a hell of a time finding food and drink but keep finding barb-wire reels and tank traps all over the place, I know that it's primarily farms around the map, but the spawn rate is a bit silly and tank traps? what were the farmers expecting cows driving tanks, before the patch I didn't even know there was barb wire in the game, now I could start a hardware store with a special sale on barb-wire. So as I see it, if we want this barb wire problem to go away, then Rocket is going to have to reduce the spawn rate for it, balance it out a bit so to speak.
