So in my recent life, I have traveled from Zelenogorsk, to Stary (where I found a AKM and 5 mags) and then left and headed all over the map eventually making it to Berezino, and then on too NEAF where I got my first murder since I came back to the game 2 weeks ago. ( I had forgotten how much of a rush it was ) I do understand that the spawns are really rare. But you hear about all these people with cars full of L85s and DMRs and I just don't understand really. Do you go to Stary and setup and loot the spot every time it respawns? How long does it take to respawn? Can I camp in a control tower and just wait for the loot to pop up? Do you server hop once you get into a good loot spot? I am just curious because usually after I loot a spot 1 time I move on.

I did a google search and a forum search and came up with nothing. I logged in today and made my way to the nearest town but first I wanted to check a deer stand close by. On approach I noticed dead zombies laying around the stand. I then turned and ran away fearing that the player was still close and may have seen me on my way there. So this got me to thinking. How long does it take for zombies to despawn? Alive and dead ones? IS the despawn time the same for players too? Thanks

So Im pretty new to the game and had my first death today by a zombie horde. When I re spawned I ran back to my old body looted it from the town and hit the tree line. Once I got there I went prone and logged off. Spent some time with my kids and came back as soon as the game started I get this screen. No I mean the instant the screen showed this was on it. The little popup with my location came up and everything. I cannot chat and the hourglass is going down super slow and about 5 min in it says I got disconnected. I was not in any combat or damaged at all. I was pretty far inland and had not seen a player for hours.

Found a fix. Go to your Arma 2 folder and uninstall Battle eye. Reinstall battle eye and then copy the folder. GO to your Arma OA folder and paste there. Worked for me. First try to get into a server was successful.

Mine is doing this as well. Every server every time stuck and then it kicks me back into the Lobby.

So even before this mod came out I wanted Arma 2 because I wanted to get a feel for it for when Arma 3 comes out. I mostly play BF3 (440+ hrs so far) and a guy I know recommended this game to me. Money isn't the issue I just hate playing Multi player games alone and I have no one that I know personally playing atm. Plus with all the random murdering threads I am seeing playing alone doesn't even seem feasible even though I haven't even bought the game yet. So I am asking. Is finding people to play with impossible or even hard? Is buying the game just for this mod worth it? Are other parts of the game still alive and active? Thanks

Yes I understand that nothing in Arma is like BF3. I have spent prob 2+ hrs today alone watching Day Z videos on youtube and I have been researching the Arma 2 game for weeks deciding whether or not to purchase. Funny thing about being married to a wife that disproves of any spending of real cash for silly computer games means that if I buy this game and hate it well I am stuck with it until she decides its been a long time since I bought a game and agrees with another game purchase
