Seems so. I wasn't trying to offend anyone. I'm not running some great rig myself, for that matter. It's just not a great card, and was well below all of his other components.

Everything else is relatively current and better than most others who play, i'd imagine. Your current set up is just so odd, because everything seems to be equivalent to each other to not create a bottleneck except your graphics card which is lightyears behind the rest of your rig. You should see a nice improvement after the upgrade. But Arma 2/DayZ is tough. Someone here posted it's because it runs on .Pbo files which all need to load up. Also explains why when you first join a server or game, things run smoother but can get bogged down more the longer you're on.

i prefer AS50. furthest kill with the AS50 is 1591 meters. It would take much more skill and a bit of luck to do that with the M107

True, and although I knew that, i appreciate the quality answer, nonetheless. I just can't figure why people who only game and surf the web would have that much ram. That's why I made a game reference in my question, but I should have been more clear. I hope what you are saying about the Standalone is also true about Arma 3

you never said how many FPS you are getting. Also, what do people do with 32GB of RAM? Can any game even utilize half that amount of RAM?
