Haaa this thread is awesome! The 2nd pic looks kinda photo-shopped or maybe just a trick of the eye with bushes or something. Please keep this going with more weirdness! Anyone found big foot yet? XD

On the subject of maps does anyone know where's the best place to find one please? Supermarkets? Thanks...

1. There's no escaping the zombies in a zombie game. I love zombies me but i hate them in day Z! Check the map for good loot spots & make your way there > http://dayzmap.info/ 2. If your friends are not noobs then why are they not helping you with these questions? When you spawn check your location at the bottom right of the screen. Then follow the map to find your friends. Obviously they will need to tell you where they are. 3. Buildings you can enter, ladders & hills/forests are the zombie's nemesis. Use them with a combo of stealth to escape. 4. Ive never been spawn killed...surely starting players with guns would increase PK's at spawns? Ive only been playing a week so ive never started with a weapon.

Hate the sound of the chain link fence & there's one that sounds like a zombie moaning...gets me every time. I think most of it is just ambient music but im not sure if events actually trigger it. Ive turned the game music off now but sometimes play music low from my favourite zombie flicks. :)

Ive been playing (solo) less than a week & i can do ok. Man up son!

Had a pistol & a few supplies...man walks into the barn with an axe & says friendly so i reply friendly. I say i think there is a gun on the other side that he can get. I move down to help him clear a zombie out of the way...man chops me in the head with an axe & kills me! 1st time i got murdered. :( Next time i'll still try to be 'that' guy but my pistol stays pointed at them!

Hope that you get lucky & find a hatchet or a gun! I started playing 2 days ago...despite watching every zombie movie & playing every zombie game under the sun ive already died quite a few times. If you do find a hatchet remove it from your tool belt to equip it (i didnt know this at 1st)...they seem to be more common than guns at the moment. Keep at it though as it can be difficult just getting a weapon at the moment but once you do looting gets easier. I seem to be improving at looting too & im finding more gear with each life.

Gah i just paid £20 direct from BIS earlier this week but it links to Steam. For some reason Steam were still selling combined ops at £25...

Anyone have figures of how many copies they have shifted since day z came out? I know that i, along with many others, just bought Arma 2 for day z. Ive obviously gone on to find out that its a pretty buggy engine! I hope that Arma 3 fixes a lot of the issues that day z has encountered/unearthed.

Send more paramedics...ahem i mean post more videos! I enjoyed the 1st episode. Only advice from me would be to try & give out a few more game play tips (for noobs like me). For example i dont think you mentioned that the hatchet can also be used for chopping wood & what purpose this serves etc.

Yeah my 1st ever day z life ended badly yesterday when i got hit by a zombie that broke my leg! I couldn't do anything about it as i had no weapons so i had to try & crawl away while the zombie stomped me out...it didn't end well.
