    U could have balanced the loot 3 years ago...and it just now somehow got ur attention? all thoes empty places which could potentialy have lootspawns and be better balanced. I hope this isnt the peak of your game designer career. Maybe Go through the suggestions section once in a while for feedback from the community. ( dont have to take every suggestion literally just to understand the community a little better )

    Today's failpatch

    While i understand that its a cold map and there is a real need for a fire...which i kinda like and its nice to catch people off guard standing around a campfire ...but the problem is thats all do it...making constant fires is dayz dev teams idea of "hardcore survival" ..If they balanced it a little better or a possibility of adding colder zones or actual proper blizzards which u need to take shelter from (kinda like namalsk )... What im saying is that they could have atleast put in the effort to balance things out a little better...but nope they just make a map and throw in some random mechanics and be done with it.
  3. Is it possible to come work on dayz team? and enjoy the benefits of all the dlc money? My qualifications: I have a rudimental understaning of game development/coding ✔ I like to give out empty promises ✔ I can help rework old content, place trees , play around with dials and rework maps ✔ I can make forum and twitter posts about spotlights, events and other silly stuff ✔ I can design nice picture to help out marketing team ✔ I Ignore the community and cheaters equaly ✔ Probly less qualified then an avarage dayz modder✔ AND MOST OF ALL I LIKE DOING BASICLY NOTHING FOR MY PAYCHECK (like making masks for the game when there are other issues more important ). ✔✔✔✔✔✔ This is a joke and a mockery of dayz current development. But if a job is offered I will take it. I really like free money.

    Discouragement of PVP no matter the state of your health

    good and a reasonable suggestion i think. It kinda makes sense to have more side effects from being injured. It would somewhat discourage PVP or even make it more thrilling (also this works well with PVE )...yes you lose blood and black out..but i think having more character health dynamics would be overall survival game improvement. Makes playing ur character and the world seem more interesting.

    too bad it aint a mod anymore...used to get more attention from indie developer then a full team. 10 years and they give us scraps of a storyline.

    People are not asking or expect the cheating to stop 100% which sure would be nice but understandably impossible...Its more about that nothing really is mentioned or done (expect posts from years ago that orlok points out) by the dayz so called team expect sourcing the anticheat to battle eye ( and be done with it ). cheaters are geting worse. Besides development of dayz looks like a dissapointment at this stage. I dont want the game company to take on the entire china or whatever. I expect them to develope and improve their game and not just do the bare minimum to keep people interested.

    All that *is* being done *is clearly not enough*...glad that the dev team or atleast you understand how that impacts the game. currently its nearly impossible to put in any signifigant time on offical servers without being REKT by cheaters (some being more obvious than others). Since you are soo kind to provide some feedback on cheating matter....what about a few questions about the development team itself and their overall performance at this point? To me it seems the development has stalled and seems *half-assed* at best. Are we going to see some actual game improving updates soon? Or is the dayz marketing team only ones putting in effort to generate quick buck? Is there a possibility of development team being more transparent on what is being worked on and actual things that we can anticipate instead of building *hype*? BTW how many people are actualy working on DAYZ ? Edit: A years worth of development and we get a reworked map from arma ( i get it its good to use available resources ) but a whole year to rework a map and add some mechanics that exist in already free mod? any comments on this? I have goten my moneys worth from this game at this point over the years...but im starting to be really dissapaointed about the development of it. Not exactly what i was hoping for when originaly buying into the idea of dayz. I get it ...things take time to develope and such....but some updates are just as said before ""game is not offering enough compelling survival mechanics for us" and they substitute that byplaying around with dials on already exsisting things ( and that is done poorly aswel). thanks.

    jeah devs could add alot of things (many good and reasonable suggestions have been made ) ...but they can barely keep the servers up and can manage a few cosmetic masks at best XD

    use a map....once u drink and have a bottle...ur set for quite a while...stop bitching and l2p. Most of you here bitching about quite small changes...like a few less inventory spaces ruined the entire game for you?? how? u cant be a lootgoblin anymore ?

    variety would be nice for nvgs. but loading different ammo types in uncompatible guns is just asking for more bugs and while it would be interesting to have ...the devs have alot more pressing issues that they should work on.

    To me your complaints seem like you are looking for more casual game experience in a game... Dayz is marketed as hardcore survival. Some of the things you complain about actualy make the game more immersive for me....why should a fire heat you up by only burning 0.5 sticks? currently it takes only 2-3 sticks on sakhal. Also it makes spoting people easier since fire is a neccesaty and leads to interactions. i could go on but you are just looking for a different and easier experience in the game.

    I agree to that zombies should have more of a presence in the game and be reworked. Cool idea would be to have different types of zombies rather then the 1 type we see mostly only distinguishable variety being the clothing on them. Make zombies creepier !!! some bodyshape and ability variety to them i believe would also be much appreciated. About the " chore actions" i dont agree 100%....they are somewhat good. Thoes keep you moving , looking for stuff and give you incentive to take different approaches. More of a problem i think is the lack of other stuff that goes along with thoes chores. In example gear that reduce wear, tear, wetness and bleeding more adequately. Like there shouldnt be only ONE go to end game gear rather it being being more situational.( i think devs are already taking this aproach somewhat already...ie platecarrier blocks damage but makes u slow in return ) But devs are nutoriously slow in geting stuff done. In short as "TRMZ" said "game is not offering enough compelling survival mechanics for us" and they substitute that byplaying around with dials on already exsisting things (which is somewhat neccesary but shouldnt be considered a "major" update ) Random gas zones are well not that bad in my opinion but the ambient cannonblasts coming from the map border are not really that suitable for an abandoned apocalyptic scenery. Maybe instead of a simple cannonblast they could have added a new building or toxic waste containers that go off and release it. I hope devs get their act together and start actualy adding and fixing the overall game instead of developing single maps as dlc. (which modders can also do nearly to the same levels already) Currently to me it seems that the devs most of the time working on the game only shuffle simple content around and bug fix. occasionaly we see a teaser that might be a big update but really is meh at best...Instead of marketing department invest in the actualy game.

    never played on a console myself...but i agree...they should add some changes to make it more hardcore and survival orientated like they advertise it (currently vanilla game feels empty and not in a good way ) ...little frustratet about the upcoming dlc aswell...instead of improving on the game itself we get new map and a few at best "meh" additions added. I sincerly hope they expand on thoes and overall core gameplay/mechanics of dayz soon. (still waiting for infected to be more of a presence in dayz + also basebuilding updates???) I also understand that it takes time and effort to change or/and code stuff to the game properly but cmooooon

    there are some hardcore modded servers that have functions like that...simply by adding an option to search bodies/infected/containers ...which is interrupted by moving around....similar things for backbags...u need to hold it in your hands or droped on the ground to access...recommend you look into modded servers ...many are garbage overly modded pvp zones but there are a few gems to find if ur looking for that kind of an experience... vanilla servers...well they are too vanilla and lack depth, still in many ways.

    If there is a need for it theres most likely a way for it aswel. But apparently the need is not as great or profitable enough to get new fresh content out. I hope ur puting thoes manpower hours to good use behind doors that are closed to us consumers/players ...maybe "dayz 2" ( some rumors on the internet ) ?? I wouldnt mind paying for that instead of a " meh" upcomming DLC.
