Hello, I've been playing DayZ for a while and I never really use a camping tent. My group started to think about a more stable base and our first guest was a tent. The problem is that we don't really know much about them. I read the wiki and it said things that worried me. Here are some of the question I have. WARNING as of patch 1.7.1.5 tents will often reappear empty after server restarts regardless if the save command was used. Is it really that bad? If it gets wipe everytime tent are kind of useless. For now you have to use the "Save" command from the mouse wheel menu in order to properly save a tent although there still is a chance that a server will eat your tent no matter what. Once again, is it common or not? Tents disappear some days after you have died; you can make a new tent after your death or reclaim items from the existing one, however you cannot take it even if you own it. In 1.7 it appears that tents last much longer after death. This is the one that worry me the most. What do they mean by that? Those that mean that if I die after having install the tent I only have limited time before it vanish? I mean the tent is suppose to be use to store good incase you die. Wouldn't making the tent vanish after a while negate that purpose? When I will die, will the tent vanish after a few days with all the items in it? It's really important that someone tell me, because I really don't want to spend time working on supply just to see it dissapear out of the blue. Tent should permanent until someone destroy it IMHO. What do you guys think? -

So they really do vanish a little while after your death. I can see why some people are agains't the idea of been able to keep item after death, but I have some argument for that. Having tent be permanent would give players a goal, they would have something to work for. This will add something extra for bandit, because they could find, loot and destroy your tent. It would increase players map exploration. Right now people stay in pretty much the same spot, adding permanent will make people go off the path more often. Allow you to have a place you can kind of call home without it being safe. (your far from safe and even more likely to get raid and kill.) This are just some fast argument that I think makes permanent tent a good idea. You can't really just pile loot near a big city to attack every hours, because more than likely, if you hide it porely people will find it. -

Look I can survive all day in dayz when I'm alone and even more with a friend. What makes us nervous and careful are the players. Killer shouldn't be punish. It's either have real life friends or try to find someone with who you can share that relationship ingame. Do you know what the real punishment for killing everyone is? Being alone and weak. Get a team and kill or kill alone and stay alone. That's the punishment.

I've been playing dayz for a few days and so far it's fun as hell. However, there are different thing that REALLY get on my nerve. Some of those things will just take me out of the game ambiance and just make me rage. Also strange that most of those things are zombies in a zombie mod. -Zombie movement cycle: I know the mod is in alpha and that's the reason this should be number 1 in the fix list. Zombies are warping way too much. They’re coming straight at you and then BOOM is next to you. It's not cause by the lag or anything, it's just that they move in that weird zig zag way. That brings me to point 2. -Zombie speed: Can't we just get a medium speed level? People always try to run inside building to kill zombie why? Because they’re way too fast and warpy to hit safely outside. If at less they had a run cycle that was nicer. Most of the time, your trying to hit them and then they just warp around you. The point is, too many warpy zombies. -Zombie number: Best part of this game is when you’re fighting like 2-3 maybe 4 zombies. Over that number GOOD luck if you’re not inside. I mean, I get it we aren't zombie killing machine, but GOD you can't really run away from them, you can't really hit them when they warp. So add 10x the zombie every time you fire once and you get disconnection nuke. Since zombies always spawn in group, I would prefer slower one. I know this may seem really complaining like, but I really this mod. The things I’m saying, I hope will make it to the mod developer. Me and my friends are just getting tired of zombies spawning everywhere around us, with speed greater than ours, numbers always increasing and to top it warp morphing power. Once you shot once, it's either run outside the city and kill the one that are following, try to hide for 2h or die. What are your points of view on zombies speed, movement cycle, spawning system and number? -
suck too be you guys in less than 4hours me and my 3 friends found a total of 4 box. Wanna get the extra one ;)

As it is the zombie pathfinding is sooooo horible that's the reason why people DC. I mean we shouldn't try to fix the DC problem first, but the zombie glitchy nature. I mean if people DC it's not because it's too hard. It's because it's unfair. DCing during a pvp fight is very very lame tho. -

If the AI can't make fast zombie run straigh, well DON'T make fast zombie. It's either he find a way to fix it or make them slower so we can hit them even if they zig zag. -

Yes running out of sight of something that run twice as fast. Yeah, it's not really going to happen. This is frustrating me just like you ;) -
I agree that zombie breaking leg in one hit is annoying, but why didn't you buddy ran over to the hospital to get you morphine lol? Would have being faster, believe me, I've ran twice for a friend.

Bone breaking and knock out timer should NOT be freaking % roll chance. I mean if you have 0.5% of knowdown each hit + 0.5% of bone breaking each hit. It makes it so you have 1% to almost certain death if your alone from 1 hit. It's ridiculous even in team when everything is going well. There is NOTHING worst than random roll like that. You should only get knock out if you are REALLY low on blood and bone should break only after like multiple hit (+10 at less).

It's normal that after killing 200 people my character will automatically find and equip a skin that say: Hey I'm evil! I want to be that kind of bandit that sneak on someone and stab him, but if I get a skin i'm auto kill on site. Heart beat is nice and all since player actually need to take you down. -

+1 Like the idea of being able to loot an house without having the need to program the inside of all of them. Sometime you just find a barn and your like YES and there's nothing inside. Crowbar should go in tool belt if require in my opinion. Make it so it doesn't attract too much zed or it's going to be impossible to do in small village

Eh' date=' i dont really agree with the argument. It would be like saying: Remove the Makarov because other 9mm are much better and its not a starter weapon anymore, so its pointless. Remove garbage items like cans and bottles because they serve no purpose. Remove flashlights because everyone spawns with one anyway. More items spawning adds to the game immersion, no matter what the items are. The fact that some of the "junk" items are more functional than others does not mean they should go away. Also, the assumption that adding more items takes away from the chance that useful things spawn isn't nessicarily true either. All loot tables have a chance that nothing spawns, and each time he adds a new item to a table, he could be taking away from the chance that "nothing" spawns. or the chance that garbage spawns. [/quote'] I'll agree and disagree. At less the crowbar should have something special like a quote from Gordon Freeman himself like: " " or " ". In all seriousness the axe is pretty weak already and we don't need a weaker than weaker weapon with no alt purpose. -
I try to put some wire in electro church to help us hold a position me an my friends. However, the wire manage somehow to clip pass pole and block the whole door. Conclusion, me and my friends are stuck and GUESS what? Zombie just fing pass the wire no problem. Need to be fix. Wire should hurt/stop zombie and only hurt player that goes in them, but give player option to slowly pass over wire. This way people have time to shot them and zombie have time to eat them, see balance.

+1 Even if your crouch running the flashlight light is nowhere to be seen. I mean this dude is a train military guy and he can't even hold a flashlight :P Really takes away from the feeling of survival when you can't see why moderately advancing.

Seriously? I can understand you like challenge and maybe you like speedy zombie, but seriously don't tell me that you actully find the warping acceptable. Also tell me the truth, if there is a building next to you, will you use it so you can actually hit them or stay outside for the "challenge"? There's hard and broken.
