It's not going to be a safe place or anything. People can attack, take over your cavern etc. From what I've gathered, there will be a limited number of 'caverns' on a server. The instancing would be necessary to help keep some of the performance issues down.

Rocket already said he wants to do some underground base building. It'll be instanced and such, and require a lot of work to pull off, multiple people etc. But that'll be for the standalone.

Agreed. When someone makes the overtures of being friendly, ESPECIALLY when they could kill you and you turn on them? That's just another person who will KoS. I've got to that point now, unless I have the complete drop on somebody, they don't see me, etc. Only then will I be 'friendly' enough to tell them to turn around and go back to where they came from.

Agreed. Medic travelling by himself with something like a bizon or other 'PvE' focused weapon, yeah, I'll let him live. But if he's got a scoped weapon or travelling with buddies? Yeah, dead man.

Locked servers are blacklisted. They are not legit. Should you find a locked server, you should report it.
