I have 2 sniper rifle: 1 for pvp That I use to cover my mates when we enter a dangerous zone (town mostly), and I am covered by a team mate with a L85 with thermal sight. My PVE weapon is a M24. Yes, I am one of the snipers of my group, yes, we play together, and yes, this way the game is way more fun, and no, we do not camp people on cherno, elektro, berezino or Stary, cause we don't like it. We stay on the run, when approaching a dangerous zone we stop a the tree line & scan the area completely. IF you are (And I don't only mean you Justwrath) ambushed by a sniper & taken down, blame yourself, not the other player. I got shot while fully geared-up when looting chopper. 2 guys were camping the place, I got careless & ended up dead, hit by a DMR round. No hard feeling, they deserved the kill. I don't see why they should remove sniper rifles. Takes preparation (scouting, zeroing) to get a kill. It takes time to find the one you're looking for, and luck, and farm, not to mention the 0,28% droprate of the ghillie suit. You don't want to get hammered down by a 50cal at 800m? Stay away from Stary, NW Airfield, Cherno, Elektro & Berezino. Otherwise you may end up with a bullet in your head.

So, ima troll now: "OMFG he hit me at 1km while I was standing still in the middle of a plain, HOW COULD THAT HAPPEN§§§" Scan the hills, wait, find a thermal google weapon, don't be impatient... Seriously, don't blame other players for killing you while you stand in a perfect snipping spot

I'd love to see a .22 long rage carbine, maybe with a suppressor, that would be awesome. But to the people whining because "everybody has a sniper", it is untrue. It takes time, farm & luck to find a sniper. Took me a week & many lives to finally get my DMR... Traded it for an AS50 when I found a crashsite with my team (out of total luck). So, i'd say: More civilian guns, YES! Less military weapons, no! Maybe had more loots spots but lower the loot chances, that'd be good. Now you can get military-grade stuff only by looting Deer stands...

definitely Winchester: Moderate sound, very good accuracy, 15 shots per clip, easy-to-find ammos, as usefull against zeds as humans (once I saw a survivor running away from zombies, I was 350-400m away, managed to hit him in the leg. The zeds feasted on him shortly after :D )

A few dayz ago, I was ambushed by a sniper (I think he used a DMR). I was looting the top of Elektro Hospital when bullets started to rain. I was lucky, the guy was bad. He wasted around 30 shots to get me, never hit me once. Dude, if you are reading this, please, learn how to use a Mildot... Anyway, I was only armed with a lee enfield & few clips, so I guessed that my only possible move was to DC (too pussy-like) OR shoot back at the sniper. I waited a minute, crawled to another position, and used my googles to see where he was, and finally I found him: 500-700m away, on the hill next to the firestation. I went to prone, unloaded a few round on that guy and immediatly jumped on the ladder & run away as fast as I could. Poor lad tried to shoot me but missed again. I just wonder, what's the point of hunting down players in cherno / elek when you're geared up as fuck? do you really need my bandages that much? Anyway dude, I hope you enjoyed wasting your ammos that much, and I suggest you learn how to use a scope, a milldot, and play on the editor :} Oh, and to the bandit that ambushed me when I was in Berezino & DC when I started to shoot back: shame on you.

That topic made my day. I actually find the game easy enough (I hit elektro asap, go to the market / office / hospital / fire stations, grab everything I need, then head north, without any single shot or startled zombie). I believe that, in the future, we'll have more buildings to search but less loot in them. And that's good. I spend 15 minutes and i'm all geared up, ready to head north for some phat survivalz actionz... And before any of the poor little whinner can argue about me being an hardcore player... I've been playing for less than a week. You just need to use your brain. I know, it's a lot to ask in a video game, specially in the casual gamer era, but you can make it. If you can't, hit respawn & deal with it. I got chased by many bandits, I even camped for an hour on a roof to see who was the guy trying to get me. Did I bitch like a retarded puppy when I got killed? nop, sucked it up, hit respawn, and thanked god for a game that hard, wich is just what I needed.

that's kinda dumb, not being able to use m9 mags on m9SD. The 9mm bullet is a subsonic ammunition. when fired it doesn't pass the sonic wall (around 400m/sec), so technically any 9mm ammo would feat. For the M4a1 SD, I can understand, the 5.56 (or .223) is a supersonic ammo, so the SD m4 would require a subsonic ammo.

The more I think about the idea of a safe zone, the more I think it has no point. It is not only the whole "turning that survival game into a mindless pvp game" that stopped me, but the idea that you'd have a place where nothing would happen. Imagine, in a survival situation, a place where a market could be build. No point in that. Surviving, scaveging, hunting, in this mod, is meant for lone wolves or small packs, not huge organisation. I play with a friend, nothing more, and I just can't imagine this kind of game having a safe zone...
