    Underground Military Complex

Nice idea, but simply not possible until arma 3. Underground spaces cannot be added to the existing map. The only way this would work, is how it works on a mission I played on the Invasion 1944 mod (WW2 Western Front). Basically, an underground bunker entrance would despawn the player and respawn them in an off-map, indoor location. It would add more playing space, but I think the disadvantages, in terms of adding to the Deathmatch nonsense, as well as server load and increase of glitch-chance would outweight the benefits.

Have Sticks (meele weapon) spawn at the beach

I like the intent, but don't think it is a good idea. Starting players should be encouraged to be stealthy and avoid combat - a low damage weapon would be pretty useless in terms of the damage that one or more Zeds do, and would be more a disadvantage than anything. The engine does not support melee very well, so there is not much point in focusing a lot of effort in that area.

    twinkies

Coke/pepsi are exported and produced worldwide, twinkies no.

    Clan System

There is already the ability to post and recruit in the Survivor and Bandit areas, you don't really want crossover.

    Bullet Penetration

Bullet penetration already exists in terms of walls etc. depending on calibre and velocity. However in terms of bodies, it would only really happen with high power sniper rifles and so on. So not important enough to justify the development resources and additional server load.

    Making some sort of shelter?

Maybe a mine detector tool used in combination with the toolbox item to detect and disable?
  7. To help those honourable few out there. Evidence would help, but not entirely necessary, names will be checked against leaderboards/known bandits to make sure people aren't being mistakenly added too. Basically, if someone betrays you in-game, or you find a bandit who has ruined your fun without provocation, and you know their game name/other ID (press P to check player list, click their name and write down details). Write their name/s here, server, and a reward if you feel like providing one. I'm sure most of us would be happy just to hunt them down for the sheer pleasure of it. I'm sure anyone who has been betrayed would give it a go sometime. Also, if you would like to play as a 'Bounty Hunter' - post a reply with your game name and server, and see if we can form groups to hunt down the main culprits. EDIT - I will add the bandit leaders once the leaderboard is back up, and perhaps move this to the survivor area. I will also add a 'most wanted' list at some point.

    Making some sort of shelter?

Would be cool, but I imagine it would require building parts etc. and time, so would have to offer more than just storage + safety from the elements. Perhaps it could be a disconnect + respawn point for the creator that other players cannot enter, but can loot / wait outside to kill them. This would maybe ruin the emergent gameplay, so instead perhaps add the possibility to booby-trap them with a hand grenade and/or shotgun + ball of string item so that, you can risk looting them, but might get blown up/shot in the head on entering.

    A bunch of ideas.

    1. I think blood is hard enough as is, but there should be a transfusion item to allow players to donate their blood and generate goodwill, a mechanic to encourage teamplay. 2. Would not work due to vehicle implementation in the engine. 3. Would not work due to attachments being part of the weapon model and not changeable. Basic things like optics and silencers would work. Triggers, barrels and so on not present in the game, only mods like ACE. 4. Rope physics not really possible in engine in a way that makes this worthwhile, high risk of lag, instability and falling resulting in death. ArmA 3 should allow this. 5. Again, not possible, engine limitation, you can only add objects, not dig down. ArmA 3 might change this. 6. would be cool 7. Would only be cool if they added Wolves to the game - check out my post on the suggested scent/smell mechanic, would work nicely with this. 8. That's just silly, belongs to another mod. 9. Not realistic. 10. This already exists in Arma lol, you get hit in the arm, much harder to aim, in the leg, your leg is broken and you crawl. Check out my suggestions please.

    F*CK all the players!

That sucks, he is clearly a real dick. However, use smarts and basic psychology, and don't give up on humanity. I honestly would have been loyal and helpful if you saved my ass like that. Psychology - voice is absolutely key to building trust, if you can get someone talking, build a rapport, they are less likely to betray you. Simple truth. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, but if you are a half-decent judge of character, you can often tell what someone will be like from their voice and manner of speech. I have been more often than not right about back-stabbing bastards from their mannerisms, in real life and in game. Try it. Also, play with a group if possible, greatly increases long-term survival and lessens likelihood of betrayal as the potential coward would have to face more than one person.

    twinkies

Not a good idea, this is Chernarus. I suggested an energy/chocolate bar in another thread, which is more appropriate to the lore.

D/Cing Cowards... Rocket.. Please add logout timer

This would have to be removed at the same time or after the removal of other pro-cowardice mechanics such as 3rd person, crosshairs, server hopping for flanking etc. Otherwise would be mainly to the benefit of bandits.

A couple things that really need to change

I don't like any of these suggestions at all, sorry. The game is not intended to be pure fun. These suggestions are more suitable to a COD-type franchise than an ArmA mod.
  14. Thoughts/feedback would be appreciated, i'd like to add/change this list over time if people like some of the ideas. Most are pretty subtle to stay in line with the inherent subtlety of the current gameplay, to add more fun, variety and opportunities for creativity + emergent gameplay. Add an energy/chocolate bar. That fills perhaps 25-50% of what a can of food does. This would be good to add to the starting equipment instead of canned food as it isn't quite the same starting boost, and reduces the benefit of killing a new player for their loot. This could occupy a 'tool' slot for size and game-balancing reasons. Add trip-flares, like the ACE ones, to allow for non-lethal camp and sniper-position defence during night play. A firework item - attracts zombies as the road flare, but can be fired from the player into the distance (maybe max 200m before exploding) like a bottle rocket. This would also be a fun PvP distraction. Perhaps add nerve-calming drugs (like diazepam in MGS), that reduces weapon shaking, as well as when injured/in pain, without adding other benefits. This should last for 10-30 mins. Allow for more of the soviet-era weapons already included in the game, the ones with basic optics ofc. Seems pointless to disallow many of the weapons that are not included. Anything from the Bizon to the KSVK, seems to fit the lore better than the M107 etc due to geographic location. This would mostly serve flavour, variety, and verisimilitude. Some kind of high-vis ground marker, for players without map/compass that want to retrace routes, for PvP 'traps' and marking RPs etc. A noise-reducing item. Some SF and guerilla forces have on occasion placed thick socks on the outside of their boots to reduce their audio signature in stealth situations. This of course is provided by soft rubber soles as used by German counter-terrorist police etc. but such tech is too advanced for the P.A. scenario. This could be an alternative uniform, that does not offer camouflage but instead noise reduction. Less useful against players, but good against zombies.
  15. Thanks for the feedback, I have split some of the suggestions for readability, even though at least one item was attached to the suggested mechanic. Scent mechanic moved to new thread.

Liberation! (Mechanic of reclaiming towns for Survivors)

I like it a lot, was thinking of something similar, but more specifically to create safe-havens free of bandits. Of course since then they have changed the bandit mechanic so this would not work in the same way. If you can think of how this 'Liberated town' area would work so that trading/bartering and so on could occur with a way of detecting and even punishing bandits, then i'd like to hear it. Maybe on entering a liberated area bandits would be force-switched to the now removed bandit skin. I think a cool mechanic to add to this idea would be building-based. Once the town switches state, perhaps a certain building in the particular town (Church or Hospital etc.) would become the suggested 'safe-zone'. Upon entering weapons would become disabled or similar. If this seems to gamified, then perhaps someone could suggest a way of encouraging fairness without disabling anything.
  17. Here's what I do (ofc doesn't work if taken by surprise, or if you have other priorities, but as i'm v sneaky people don't normally get one up on me). If I spot a player/group of players, I will stalk them for a while, to get an idea of what they are like as players. If they turn out to be bandits, I will take them out, otherwise, I will attempt to communicate with them. Have added several good players to my group this way. In response to the above comment. That is absurd, if you believe that punishment is the only basis for a moral compass, then it is you yourself who is morally bankrupt.

Massed cowardice - 4 Disconnectors (Pics Inside)

    Congratulations for recognising it.
  19. I think it's a solid point. Who's the person that gets to decide what gets isolated in this way anyway? I say we crucify him upside-down.

    Where art thou DMR?

A common term? Are you on a server offset by 500 years per chance? Besides, I think you mean 'phrase', not 'term'. Basic English people, get it right.

Who cares, you use third person so are a coward anyway.

This is the best PVP game ever created

Realistic, not 'realistical'. Sorry i'm not normally a language nazi but that is really annoying.

    Do Graphics Matter?

Graphics settings matter in terms of spotting and marksmanship. There is more information on this subject than I can currently be bothered to post, sorry, but yes is makes a difference, as does basic physical screen size.

    Where art thou DMR?

You do know that 'where art thou' is a misquote? Regardless, the original never meant anything like 'where are you', but actually 'why are you'. Just clarifying so you don't make yourselves look dumb on any forum that might have a majority of intelligent people.
