  1. What you mean from the admins directly breaking the rules set out by Rocket. they could always fuck off and host another game if they don't want to do what they AGREED to do

    US 10 Chicago Hacker

Got nuked earlier in the week on this server(Thursday night around 10pm British Summer time) - Was also 3 bicycles just by the Balota tents that were all next to each other and couldn't be moved Today had a player appear in the wilderness at the edge of the map and kill myself and the two people I was with in less than 5 seconds from approximately 200 metres - each with a single shot. Just ran up to a camp near Berezino we had looted before, my friend got killed after we had been there 30 seconds then I got shot, single shot kill again whilst zig zagging through floor covering Fir trees. Bit of a shame as it is such a stable server.

    Remove barbed wire

It would be better if Barbed wire and tank traps couldn't be used in or near to buildings. At present they are just used to grief players, and especially in the case of tank traps could easily be climbed in real life. Making your own camps with barricades in the woods would be cool though.

    A good thing going bad.

Hate to say it but I have been playing for a month and think I have got killed once near the starter areas. I have some cheese if you would like it.

Ban for Server Hopping / Ghosting

Its impressive how many people clearly don't read the terms and conditions associated with hosting a server.

    AKM or Enfield?

AKM but I do prefer the sights on the Enfield.

    weapon switching with backpacks

Double click or press the left arrow as if you were dropping the item. Note you cannot drop items normally when the bag is open because of this.

Be more fun if I knew who killed me.

I can't see the point in having who killed you displayed yet want nametags to be hidden, after all how do you hunt down your killer? The main thing I could see coming from this being common would be people being abusive on the community forums towards certain players who killed them.

    elektro/cherno intended to be manditory?

Depends on your luck with item piles and whether or not they have recently been looted by other players in my experience. For example on one session the red residential buildings in Cherno are filled with weapons, on another session it is only empty cans and bandages. Some players seem prone to be making blanket statements about how you can just go into a certain location and get certain loot. Which clearly is not the case and misleads newer players.

Winchester or Lee Einfield? What is their damage on humans?

Definitely the Lee Enfield. Don't like either the Winchester or 1014 for players as they don't necessarily kill them before they kill you

    An-2 Colt (Large Biplane)

I like the idea and support it even though I am terrible at flying planes in games and as such don't try anymore :)

Frequently hotfixes making the game unplayable.

No I would not agree with the OP. Ideally though, when actual mechanics changes are made(namely 1.7.1) it would be better to see less changes made and a small grace period given to test the waters and see how said changes effect the game. Whilst I do appreciate the work Rocket et al do it has taken a couple of hotfixes to undo some of the less desirable zombie behaviour 1.7.1 introduced Also there was at least 30 servers hosting 1.7.1.5 within a couple of hours so you are massively overexaggerating - plus I think it has been the best update since 1.7.0

Should I Just Sprint Into Town & Run Inside?

Since the 1.7.1.5 patch the zombie range is much more reasonable. For the majority of situations stopping and planning your route, coupled with alternating between crouch run and crouch walking works fine. Also in general trying to rambo lots of zombies can result in either running out of ammo or atracting players.

    Any bandits enjoy CQC?

Having my Enfield trained on a chokepoint makes me happy if that counts. There are some issues with movement through things like doorways and stairs, which if smoothed out would make close quarter battles a lot more enjoyable. Regardless there is definitely something enjoyable about having to consider zombie party crashers when fighting in a town.

    Is anyone friendly anymore?

Reasonably speaking the best way to encourage friendly behaviour amongst strangers would be to offer some sort of incentive. Certainly it would lean away from realism having something along the lines of a group based buff but it would perhaps stem the tide of player killing which some players do not like. It isn't really something I would be interested in, but realistically people tend to enjoy games when they have a chance to either win or beat other players.

    DayZ 1.7.1.5 review and thoughts

Yesterday one of the crouched zombies was 200 metres away from me, in a bush where only the top of his head was visible. I was crouch running and he instantly locked onto me. It felt as wrong as AI programming in FPS that just lets enemies shoot through walls. The main thing I would love to see before zombie difficulty is ramped up at all is a resolution to the bizzarre warping(both zipping around you and clipping through buildings) behaviour zombies have once they close in on you. Granted it doesn't always happen but when it does it can make killing them next to impossible, especially with only a limited amount of ammo to hand. I would be all for things like zombies hitting you whilst you are running, provided the unintentional erratic behaviour they display is sorted. I am surprised this isn't brought up more as I feel it is the main stumbling block before doing some truly interesting things with our not quite dead counterparts. Overall really like this patch, spawn rates on items seem back to normal and I am no longer atracting attention from zombies I either cannot see at all or can barely see due to terrain.

    Is anyone friendly anymore?

I have only been playing for a few weeks now but have found that now players spawn without a weapon they are starting to almost beg not to be chat in voice chat. My friend that I group with and me were discussing this earlier and are both in agreement that they would shoot you if they had a weapon. Since the 1.7.1.5 patch everyone was saying don't shoot who was unarmed, then as soon as we come across players that can fight back they shoot on sight. 4 players rushed the building we were in earlier and tried to take us - seemed to be one group of 2 and two solo players shortly after. A while later I was scavenging and came across another unarmed player. He kept saying "we're cool" in voice chat and I couldn't bring myself to kill him. Personally I find fighting other players the most interesting part of the game and although I won't go out of my way to grief players in any game it is very difficult to differentiate in this mod. I can't say I trust players I have spared to not shoot me in the back the second they find a gun.
