Just gonna put it out there... It's Alpha. We're all lucky we get to play let alone on a scale as massive as this. You came into this knowing Dayz was in Alpha and instead of bug reporting and helping the development a massive portion of people bitch about how its unfair they lost their gear or its unfair you dont have a weapon when you wake up on a beach knocked out. In all fairness it's never been explained why you are on the beach but I'd prefer it even harder, no bandages, no painkillers, no backpack. It's supposed to be hard, and its damn right gonna be buggy. Quit bitchin'

What tomo said, find a forest or group of rocks, try getting them to hit trees or other objects and when you think you have enough of a lead on them it's your chance crouch/prone behind a piece of terrain and hope for the best.

Directly NE of the town Balota which is on the southern coast. You can see it from the centre of town. On the map you linked, it has 'airstrip' written across it and resembles a white rectangle on an angle.

Likely a hacker the admin was trying to combat judging from the message that popped up and you just hadn't seen any sign of it yet, the devs aren't usually in the habit of respawning servers of characters etc due to the time it takes eating into development time. Think rocket may have mentioned it takes about 5 minutes per character or something along those lines? But yeah, most likely a hacker, Dayz is in Alpha at the moment and AFAIK Arma is pretty easy to hack right now, so just take a deep breath and start over is my advice, its happened to me a few times.

Same thing now I filter actually, I understand that the patch has just come out and people are making sure servers are working right but we didnt get any warning before kicks or anything.

Just reporting a server that me and a buddy were trying to log into tonight, with a decent ping and timezone we thought it would be a good server to play, we connected once and got kicked. Then found it again and it was locked, only 4 players on.
