So in some recent posts I noticed this but I think vehicles outnumber people in real life. Bikes, cars, motorcycles, trucks, they don't all break as soon as everyone dies. They'd actually be easier to find laying around and would make more player interaction. That's kinda how I'm starting to think it really should be.. every group has a car, not just one. Walking and running is the stealthy minority and tried and true option, but the mod always had tons of vehicles to get around (I know this ain't the mod, it's much better but). I think people long for that and new players assume it. Maybe simplify cars and add more?

Jeans with kneepads are so fire and idk why😂 even if the developers just added those alone in a singular update I'd be happy.

[Zombie AI Suggestion] Allow Closed Doors to be Hit Open

Would be cool, wonder if it is technically possible. I think zombies are a pretty good threat in this game and work better than most say. They just need some tweaks for like this when you hid in a building, hop on top of something, or they run for the open door to your house; but I literally toss items I don't need away from myself and over them to get them to walk out of my way as I sneak around, it's pretty cool. They're also infected runners so them spotting me sometimes makes sense to me. They're kinda like feral predators. One other thing I think that would be cool for them/the world would be if you found them in the woods or fields sometimes. Along with bigger packs like Livonia has. -
This is why we can't have nice things. Technical impossibility and fundamental non understanding of the map they built. They open discussion they gotta hear people ask for dumb things while community asks for real things.

Firstyly I am on console and this game saw a full live service release on console within the past few years so no mods are not a solution. I also believe if a game needs mods to improve it it's not that good and shouldn't be priced as such. So onto what I was saying and I know people are gonna come at me but it's part of the gameplay loop and a way that people interact in this game. Sure there are a lot of guns but they're throw away guns or don't help much in a fight. A core part of this game is finding loot and continuing to survive alone or with friends. If part of the loot pool is useless or just ends too early for much endgame you're cutting down the time people play/eventually get bored. And I'm not saying every item needs to be amazing there should be stuff you find that's like "damn really?" So you keep searching. Just to throw in there too another possible fix for the throw away guns is bring back the lethality of them and get rid of weird balancing. People enjoy that if you have a gun you can defend yourself, DayZ never had a meta it was just every gun was lethal and did what it was supposed to. Guns are tools when you think about it, range, suppression, weight, etc. But back to what I was saying the game needs more guns and attachments to go with as such. End game snipers with scopes and bipods to find, lmgs at heli crashes with boxes of ammo to find, more assault rifles that're eastern european (g36), historic firearms (ppsh/kar), civilian and police shotguns (ks-23 and pistol grip), and so on. I'd go on to say the game needs more clothes and armor too. Things that make you feel like a survivor. There's a lot more to say and discuss but I've been putting suggestions everywhere to the devs. They have a game that has gained a lot of popularity and I see crescendoing. I just hope they see that and capture it because it really could compete on triple A level. It has no competition, there's nothing like it, and a much larger audience than I think they know enjoys it just because of how gaming has gone in the past few years. I also don't believe this is the only thing the game needs but more of these in each update, guns that fit roles and add to the game, packs of interesting clothing, and whatnot amongst general updates will go a long way. I think they're starting to see what they've got.

Too many guns are useless so yes they totally need to do this. They don't seem to get either (and I get so much flak for this but) people who play Cod and Fortnite and everything the DayZ community hates also play and enjoy DayZ for all the reasons the community loves. This game is a gem gaining traction again in a broader audience and they need to see that before they kill it.

The devs actually talking to the community would be gold. Sure some people just throw shit at the wall/them and bad ideas around but there is a core of the community that really just wants 3/4 things: -more guns, eastern european & historic -more ammo types and attachments which kinda goes with^ -more clothes, civilian and military, mostly civilian though most people seem to not want to be a army man but a camouflaged survivor -better zombies -deeper camping/foraging stuff I've seen too and old ballistics that make guns more lethal again

Bring Back The Long Range Scope For VS-89 Only

The long range became the hunting, they need to add a level above the hunting. A farmers rifle and scope should not be the highest thing you can achieve, cuts endgame and gameplay loop down a lot. maybe they swap them and the 3x,6x,9x becomes the hunting and the new military can be 4x-12x as much as what you're saying makes sense is a good idea. i think they just need to think more in terms of gameplay loops, endgame, and the world/interactions. like why add a gun that is a side upgrade to another? Possibly worse and adds nothing to the game? It needs a draw & reason to grab it. Basically tundras still king and they did nothing to their own game but reskin a mosin -
I think this would be great, it's what the SV-98 should've been and hopefully something they add in along side it. The game needs new weapons, attachments, clothing, and armor to keep the gameplay loop going. Also people that refer to a mod and then say "I don't see why the game needs that.." 1. Like he said it is on console now and deserves some love 2. I don't think you fully understand the game, game development, or a major aspect of the game & its' world

All spot on mate. I hope they see this, they need to. Pretty good summary of what the community keeps asking for. More guns, attachments, clothes, and armor. Better zombies. They need to listen to the community more or engage with them. They have an absolute gem of a game I hope they see the value of before they kill it. Console has a huge audience of people you wouldn't expect to enjoy DayZ but do because of the feelings/interactions it gives that aren't replicated anywhere else. Hopefully they see that and know it is good as is, it just needs a little more.
