A subtle door open/close sound would be nice.

20 words or less: Spawning without a weapon
salty (DayZ) replied to rocket's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
YES I think it would promote cooperation and settle the coast down a bit. No more Makarov heroes. -
Arma 2 mouse movement - too fast breaks it up??
salty (DayZ) replied to jani.ehro@gmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Do you have mouse smoothing disabled? -
Stars are out...its a clear night...no way should everything blend together in solid black. What's being simulated there is the inside of a cave. Apparently, you've never been inside of an unlit cave, or in the wilderness under a starlit sky.

It's more like one out of every 4-5 rounds. Claiming that every single round was a tracer is pretty absurd, as they were the only rounds you could have seen.

As I said before, right before the rollback someone came to the forum with the exact same question after finding the same weapon. He was told by a staff member to keep it. Take from that what you will.

Forum moderators volunteer to moderate the forums (derp). Generally speaking' date=' they know no more than the average player. [/quote'] That's common knowledge. But so is everything I have been talking about in this thread and is easy to figure out. I personally think the mods should get to know more about the mod that they work for (even if its just the forums) so they COULD answer questions, rather than just kick/ban/warn users on the forums. In an ideal world.

The devs don't want to reveal how the system works because they don't want it abused. There are no database resets, spawn timers, or set spawn locations. Vehicles are spawned in at their discretion. It's that simple.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather see things added to my sandbox. There's really no reason to remove them.

Wait.. you honestly believe that improving tone mapping is going to have a negative effect on ArmA II? lol

You're a knob. Discuss. I fully concur. Burst anuses? Really? No-one wants that. He was being sarcastic..

How To Get Better At DayZ (Video)
salty (DayZ) replied to chibigoat's topic in New Player Discussion
Nice tutorial. I find that the ArmA II armory challenges are also an extremely effective tool for weapon familiarization. They give you weapon related objectives to complete, and most of them put you up against active, armed AI. -
I read through the entire OP and thought to myself, "sounds like he's had a lot of fun so far." It's all about perspective, I guess.

Rough models for the green pouch items.

Excellent work dut. You should PM a staff member with an inquiry and links to some of your work if you haven't already, -

CZ550 vs. DMR vs. M24 vs. M107
salty (DayZ) replied to #BASEDGOD's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The DMR is the ideal banditry weapon, as far as I'm concerned. Excellent accuracy up until ~500m, 20 round magazine, semi-auto, and compatible with NVGs. What more could you ask for? -
