    Few questions

    I'm quite certain the mod loads lite versions of the other expansions in order to load in the resources it uses from each' date=' so no. No other mods are compatible with DayZ. Oh, and welcome to DayZ. :)

    Night time i can't see a thing my m8 can?

    Apparently there's a bug in the time script that causes the moon to not load properly for some players, causing night time to be absolutely pitch black. Try disconnecting to the lobby and reconnecting if it ever happens again, it may fix the problem.

    Where to find water pumps?

    You can also refill your canteen at any water source, including the ocean. Be weary though, as you can lose your pack while swimming, and you'll have to swim into most sources of fresh water in order to see the 'Refill Canteen' option.

    Steel bolt recovery

    95% sure it's not intended. Sometimes I find the bolt in the zombies inventory, sometimes I find it lying on the ground nearby, sometimes it's floating in mid air at the point of impact, but most of the time it just disappears completely. I'd use the crossbow more often if bolt recovery was more reliable.

    map and compass

    I'm pretty sure the only server which runs this option is the server titled "DayZ." I tend to avoid that server as you can see eveyone visible to your character on the map.
  11. ... but they do run around and hurt you? They've never made me cry. Seriously though, I don't think this breaks immersion at all. I think they would do the exact same thing in real life. They would chase after that single extremely loud person and likely drown themselves trying to get to him/her.

    Weapon damage charts

    It depends entirely on your shot accuracy, distance, and enemy blood level. I've gotten double-tap kills at ~300m and 1 shot center mass kills at ~100m with the AKM. I've also failed hard and missed/clipped players with 5 round bursts at varying distances. :x
  13. I actually like the system. Like most things DayZ/ARMA related, it takes a while to get used to. It is a bit buggy (i.e. weapons/ammo disappearing when switched), but alpha is alpha. Lets hope inventory bugs are DayZ specific and not an issue with the ARMA engine itself.

    Restore Blood \ Health Over Time

    The current system encourages movement to look for more food, yours does not. Striking a balance between realism and enjoyment is imporant.. I'm just afraid this approach is a little too realistic. Keep the current system, imo.

    300 m view distance...

    I'm not exactly sure what the issue is. I make shots at 300m on a regular basis, and I can see 1000+ meters if it's not foggy.

    Definitely an interesting bug in that nothing you do will increase your volume, including the audio options menu and your OS volume mixer.

    I guess I would be ok with this.. but the percentage chance would have to be so minuscule that it wouldn't even effect much anyway.

    Melee weapons / Zombie kills and humanity

    Giving another survivor medical attention of any kind increases humanity, and it will increase on it's own over time. I'm not sure of the actual values of either, but I'd estimate +100-400 for the former, and +50/hr for the latter. As for zombies giving humanity, I'm going to have to say no. Killing zombies is a necessity, even for true bandits. I would like to see come kind of last resort melee attack eventually, but there are much more pressing issues to worry about at the moment.

    Should we scrap bandit models?

    I'm pretty indifferent at this point.. until the zombie/item spawn issue that seems to be plaguing the majority of servers at the moment gets worked out it really is irrelevant. In my opinion the spawn issue is what's causing the game to devolve into an all out death match. Zombies aren't even a threat at this point.. there's nothing left TO do other than murder eachother..
