    Allow stmovement!

    The thing you have to consider is first off, you want as little outside addons, etc. in a mod IF there is the possibility of it going commercial. Once that happens licensing, etc. can become a mess unless all the code is your own. Secondly the st_movement addon, while it's kinda neat, is also unrealistic. It shortens the collision box of the weapon so that you can move through doors, etc. without it hitting anything. You'll note even in the video that's popularly shown for this addon that the weapon in hand is a short barreled weapon. Try this with something like an AK-47 and watch the end of the barrel just pass right through the door frame, etc. Arma 2 tries to simulate (it is after all a sim) actual movement and that means you need to learn to lower your barrel with longer weapons or you are going to be banging them into stuff. Simple as that. Try moving through a door with your pistol drawn... not near as bad, eh? Or lower your barrel. Realism.

    Change Bandit Skin

    Sooner or later someone will start reskinning the PMC, OA models but for now those are used because they can use backpacks. I see no backpacks on the NAPA skins.
  5. This will not turn into some sort of Legion bashing gang bang. I hate baby sitting threads, especially if it concerns anything Legion, but I'm curious as to where this will go. No posts concerning either "Legion" (wft?!) hacking, cheating, kicking, screwing sheep, whatever. Keep it on topic.

Either is automatically on it, which makes the system no better than skin (and more difficult to use), or he isn't in which case the list is populated by the fairly common "self defense" killers or that first timer that needed your meds and meanwhile the serial killer wanders around like a man eating tiger that just hasn't decided who to eat yet. As for removing the bandit skins there are a literally hundreds of posts on this topic already. I don't know why people think bringing it up again, and again, and again... is going to change anything that much quicker. The bandits and bandit skins exist in this mod for a reason. Removing them, especially now after they have become such a well embedded part of this mod, will do nothing to improve the game play... or they never would have been implemented in the first place. In a perfect (game) world each character would be recognizably unique, even at a distance. That just isn't in place in this game... yet.

    depth and choice with weapons

    It doesn't really matter. I'm told there WILL be a back story to this mod. I don't know for sure if it will place the players in post-soviet Russia or somewhere else, anywhere else in the entire world. I take it as a hint that western weapons are in the game for a reason. Remember, this is still an ALPHA. The map, the location, the weapons, the skins, the zombies, *everything* could change.

    What do you want to see in 1.5.9 ?

    1) reduced zombie clipping; no more walking through solid walls, doors, roofs, etc. Make opening of doors difficult for zombies, if not impossible. 2) Zombie respawn time reduced, greater number of zombie based on population index, maybe wilderness = 1, farms/deerstands =10, small village =20, industrial =15, military/block of city = 40 3) be able to drink water from source without canteen. Water source to drink/refill canteen available at nearly every farm and village. 4) Improved zombie behaviors:

    Independent servers

    I believe that independent servers might be a possibility in the future, perhaps even regional clusters of servers running from one database... but from what I've read it's not the data base server that's the problem! It's only having enough server slots available for a small sliver of the player base and everyone mashing their space bars trying to get on at the same time. In other words it's the server hosting the game, not the database, that's causing the "unresponsiveness".

    Why does hardly anyone go north??

    The lack of food and water in the northern towns means you really need to at least get these things in the coastal cities, with a pack big enough to do you some good. While you are there you might as well hit a hospital for meds and while you are at it work for a full house of map, compass, binoculars, matches and hunting knife... BANG! Oh well, it only took 30 minutes to get all of that collected the first time, no big loss. How many actually go north without stopping at a big city first to do just these things? Out of those how many are not bandits that get those things by killing those that have them? It's a tough march up north with a mak, a patrol pack and a can of beans.

    Suggestion: fine tune new zed behaviors

    I'm not sure that they are directly linked in the mod although there was a time I thought they might be. Also I wonder what the relationship is in real life? Aren't calories pretty much like fuel in any machine? Run it twice as fast, get twice as much done (run X distance in half the time) but burn the fuel at twice the rate? Certainly it isn't exactly that simple or linear but it would make sense if it were I suppose.
