You are the real leptir1? :D Anyways, in the form of tips, always find a building you can go into, as long as it has two entrances, one you can get out through. Once you lead your new train of friends into the building, make like hell for the other entrance. Zombies walk very slow inside buildingas, and it is also a nice place to make a standoff.

Found an AK74U with green dot sight in a military camp, its the best weapon i found so far, even though its not so good compared to other finds.

I may have broken ports for my headset on my tower, so i have to hook it up with a mono extension cord, restricting me to one ear for sound, which isn't ideal for when i use zombie sounds to sneak around. I will grab one at a store soon though :D

oh, ok :) Its still a pretty awesome weapon IMO, but now i cant trust any players unless they are unarmed...

An AKS-74 Kobra! I just found it in a deer stand near my spawn, and i have two mags with it! now, i can finally erradicate the zombie scum when i need to! Also, a quick question, how rare is this gun? Guns are far between for me, so this is a great find, having found only 5 guns so far.

it took me about 4 deaths and 5 hours of gameplay to get a gun, and then another death and 2 hours to learn how to get around w/o a weapon. The gun i got was gained from complete luck, i was running around in cherno suicidally, and found a makrov in the corner, along with a crossbow, when moments later a player with a winchester came in and shot me in the face :(

I would actually go here, as a starting member of DayZ who never shoots first, this sounds like alot of fun :D However, broadcasting all your info will lead a ton of bandits to lead an organized attack, just a word of warning :l.

As a newbie, its very hard to sneak past zombies, even while prone. A zombie could be 10 feet away from me and instantly notice me while i am prone, its quite annoying, the lack of a weapon doesn't help too much either. I have to get them following me, and run like hell for 10 minutes, until i get to a building where i can lose them, rinse and repeat, due to my lack of finding a weapon.

I've ran around the coast into a few houses and barns, and have found no melee or guns around. I also explored Elektro a bit, and i wouldn't find a gun in any of the few main spawns, since i just started playing today, my first gun was a makrov with no ammo i looted off a poor guys body who got sniped right next to me :( After that i have found no more weapons, but plenty of shotgun shells. It took me 4 hours to find a gun, and it wasn't even in a loot pile, have gun spawns been decreased, or am i doing it wrong?

Now i am afraid to log into my server for fear of losing my precious makrov. Oh how times have changed.

Yeah, i was shot at by a sniper in Elektro and he killed both of my newly met buds, one of them i looted the makrov from.

In Elektro, with 2 other new buddies on a building roof, when suddenly an obviously high caliber gunshot rings out, and i see in the bottom left corner "Somethingking has been killed by sniper123" I quickly type to the other guy next to me "Sniper!", and we both go prone, i then slide over to the foot tall wall of the side of the roof, and then another gunshot rings out, ending my friend. I grab his makrov with no mags, as i did not have a gun before, and promptly escape the situation. Easily the most frightening PvP experience ever, but fun.

I am going to upgrade my computer soon, when i am done i will have these specs -Graphics card- EVGA 01G-P3-1556-KR GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) FPB 1GB 192-bit GDDR5 -Processor- AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Quad core -RAM- 6 GB DDR2 Windows 7 32 bit, any estimates to what frames i would get on normal? Any tips to get it to utilize all of the cores would be great, and how to remove the animated background in the menu screen I have had someone who had similar specs say i would have 30 fps in cities, more in fields, but its nice to get more feedback. Well, if i researched correctly then it will only use two cores of my quad core processor, and only 4gb of ram, the other 2gb sitting there doing nothing. I'm not so sure about the graphics card, but if i don't have 64 bit win 7, the upgrade will be near useless. :( Custom built my computer, doesn't have a brand, this says it will download to any brand computer http://www.softwaresupplygroup.com/microsoft-windows-7-home-premium-64-bit-oem-branded.html And its 68.99$ Legit? Nevermind, need a dell install code apparently, damn it Anyone know if i can upgrade from windows 7 professional 32 bit to 64 bit if i have the product key but not the disc that was used to download it, i'm considering pirating it.

Im getting a quad core @ 3.4 Ghz, and getting 6gb of ram, so im sure it will run fine :D

The system requirements lab is unreliable for me, it says i cant run operation arrowhead, yet i can at about 30 fps at lowest settings

My guess is that it would not start, as i do not believe Arma 2 is compatible with macs.

I would recommend you upgrade your graphics card and possibly your processor. RAM should be fine, but it doesnt hurt to upgrade it

Im getting a phenom 2 quad core 3.4 ghz, and 6 gb of ddr2 ram, so it should run fine then?

Same thing happened to me, i just ignored it for a minute, and then i could play, it started it up automatically
