This is a 3.6 quad, and i currently can use a dual core @ 2.7 ghz with a raedon 4550 to get 10 frames on lowest, could i fix that by upgrading the GFX card on the machine mentioned

I have recently searched for a decent laptop to run DayZ with, as i have been unknowingly cursed into buying a laptop with an Intel HD card. They both Have decent looking cards, one with 2gb of onboard RAM on the card, and good processors as well. Which one is better? Only 640 GB hard drive on this one, although i dont need more than 400GB at most So yeah, which one is better for playing DayZ?

So i could run it on an i3 4gb RAM with a Intel HD GFX card at lowest, slowly?

I'm honestly not wanting to build a desktop, and i dont want to buy an alienware, so anywhere know where i could get a decent desktop that would run DayZ and modern games without me building it, alienware just overprices their products >.< And this is if i dont get a gaming laptop

I have recently found out that my motherboard only accepts AM2 Processors, making my previous quad core choice invalid. I previously wanted an AMD Phenom 2 x4 quad core @ 3.4 Ghz, but then learned of my motherboards limits. If anyone has a link to a good AM2 Processor that would run this game fine, it would be very much appreciated! :D

Well, i figured out that it would be best to build an entirely new PC, and am already planning to, as the processor is not on par with my motherboard. Neither is my power supply, i will post a list of possible specs later. This thread can be closed, if i cant close it myself

Alright, i will find out how to overclock my processor, as i dont see an overlay for it on screen. I only know that you can do it from the BIOS.

Alright, thanks for the feedback! All i need to do now is check my powersupply. Will be opening my computer up to see if i need an upgrade.

Im getting a phantom 2 quad core @ 3.4 Ghz, and also to officious, what frames did you get, and at what settings? I will also just have a measly 3gb of RAM, but 2GB (The max amount) will be dedicated to the game, making no difference in gameplay whatsoever.

I downloaded the game through sixinstaller, and upon seeing performance tips that add up to 15 FPS, this one, i really wanted to tweak it! However, the explanation i got was to put in on the command line, the thing i was told to use was "-winxp" Without the quotes, however if i use sixlauncher, and dont have an arma 2 CO shortcut, then i have no idea what to do. Please help me, a most simplified as possible explanation wold be great! (Yes i have a dual core processor so it actually works)

Alt tabbing in this game does things not good for the player, it sometimes locks my player into one position only walking that way, have to rejoin server to fix it. I would recommend not alt tabbing at all , use a laptop for a map if you need to.

Change your screen resolution to very close or identical to the 3d screen res, i think thats what its called. Something that has width and height in its options to change it. May not fix it, but makes the game look less watery.

I know it will restrict me to my system only acknowledging that i have 4gb of RAM, but if i have a quad core processor running at 3.4 Ghz, will it only let me use two cores of it? I dont believe it currently restricts graphics cards, but i could be wrong on that one. Also, even if it restricts me to two cores running at 3.4 ghz, will that affect my gameplay on normal settings? Any answers would be great! :) SOLUTION HERE 32 bit only restricts you to 4gb of RAM, not your Processor of graphics card!
