Using xbox series x
I've seen several postings that are the rough estimation of what is happening to me. Just curious if anyone knows how to fix.
When I try load any server, community or official, the game freezes just after finishing the countdown and about 20-25% through the load screen. On the blurred image of the character and cop car. No error measages.
Things I've tried...
Setting game settings to low or disabling. Such as but not limited to disabling aim Assist and minimizing all sound volumes. I've pretty much tried different variations of disabling and minimizing all different settings.
I tried holding xbox button and restarting console.
I also held xbox button on console for 10 seconds till shutdown, then unplugged the console for 10 min.
I cleared both the cloud cache and local cache.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
Here's the weird part..., as I'm doing all this, I'm able to talk to my party over chat. When I freeze, they see me pop into the game. And weirder yet, after I shutdown for 10 min, I couldn't get back into party. Kept getting disconnected from party error.
And even crazier..., I turn my phone hotspot on and I can get into all dayz servers, both official and community. I can even get into party, but chat doesn't function. I assume it's due to the strict NAT type on my hotspot.
My hotspot is set to 2.4Ghz strict NAT and my router is set at 5Ghz Moderate NAT.
I've never had this issue before. The only thing left I can think of is to reset my router to default settings. But it's never given me problems since I got my xbox years ago.
Any ideas?
Edited: can't load into any server now.
Edited: I have found that if I switch my account to a guest account, everything works fine. I tried removing and re-downloading my profile but that did not work.
Edited: okay I have it working again on my main internet and main profile. It's a little early to call this a major success, we'll see with time if it is truly fixed. Here's what I did, I used the hotspot on my phone and logged into my server. (Don't ask me why that worked) I then committed suicide and chose to exit game rather than respawn. I then changed back to my main internet, quit out of the game, logged back in and hallelujah I'm back!
