Health Regeneration & Eating (v2)

Its not that its too hard as is, its just no realistic in any way, our body heals over time, just as you said, and it would be nice to have a blood regen system that actually made some sense in the real world. I liked the idea of being able to rest in good health and have it regen. -

How about NPC's that actually do something useful? Trade 2 drinks for a can of food? Two cans of food for a canteen? Just set trade recipies since making them actually barter would be too hard I think. -
Logouts - Definite no on that for now, zombies cheat through things, and I WILL continue to DC cheat them as long as they keep wallhacking on me. Blood - YES. This has always bothered the crap out of me, why doesn't a high suga drink (soda, like the high sugar OJ you get when GIVING BLOOD) replenish any blood?? Why cant sleeping replenish it!? Water - ALSO YES! I never thought to have drinking out of lakes be a thing, but why not! its brilliant. Dying of thirst next to a fresh water lake because you dont have a canteen to fill? What is that insanity?

We absolutely need something like this in the game. Players definitely could use 'towns'. NPC's to trade with would be fantastic too, just some way to get the stuff that you find all the time traded for stuff you dont. Sometimes I'll find 10 sodas and no food. Sometimes I find 4 pistols and no primary, 10 axes and no gun, etc. This sort of town would allow for that to be traded for safely. -
More survivability, less deathmatching

So...you want to make it more punishing? Definite no to broken guns and stuff. Absolutely don't make ammo any more rare than it is, I can't tell you how often I'm running around with an A5SD, AK Kobra, etc, and have no ammo. If you remove night vision, no one is gonna play on nighttime servers no matter how good the loot...I could go on. I think you've got a good full head of steam thinking outside the box, but this is a little overboard. I like the personal rep idea, I like new maps. I LOVE the longer alive = better loot idea too. But so much of this makes for such punishing gameplay... -
I can barely find ammo for my A5 & A5SD, let alone rare gun ammo

Maybe not totally take it out, but....maybe don't allow it to be placed indoors. All that's happening is people somehow block BOTH entrances to a building.

You can get out of it on ALL servers. I'm not 100% what direction you have to run from hills...I believe if you head EAST you will eventually run into WEST chernorus.

Probably this weekend' date=' next week at the latest. We're in talks. See above. Problem with bringing supplies is that we overfilled the car! We're gonna have to find a better way to store stuff, more/bigger vehicles or something. That said; we did so well Sunday we overfilled our storage!! :) bump, sig test :)

Robbl so much of what you say is what bugs me about the current zombie behavior. I hate the insane rage-ness of them, and the fact that they spawn so fast that you cant even attempt to use a gun to quell them all in an area. You WILL run out of ammo. -

Zombies still coming through walls

Just adding my two cents. I often have zombies clip through walls of warehouses, and especially those 3 spawn grey log cabin houses. ill often post up across the table from teh door and watch them clip into the table to try and get me as i axe them in the face. -

Wait is it faster with primary or secondary? Two consecutive posts said the exact opposite things... -
I promise it really isn't as bad as it seems. All you really have to do is the following: 1: Spawn, start running towards any buildings you see. 2: Keep running, do not stop, do not care how many z's you bring along 3: enter every building you find with at least two entrances, you will soo find a hatchet. 4: Stop if you want and kill zeds with hatchet while in buildings. 5: Rinse and repeat until you have whatever gear you deem appropriate. At the moment I just respawned this morning, and I've already got a m1911 with lots of ammo, and turned down a few primaries just because a hatchet is better for sound when running around and stopping to get stuff off our pack to loot buildings. Throw caution to the wind my friends! AND FLY!!

3/4 of all servers = Cannot Connect

I am having a similar problem on a lot of servers, I hang at various points in loading, either when it switches to the generic ARMA2 loading screen right after the data-file, or after that screen when you're back in the server lobby before everything goes black. -
M4 CCO & SD ammo; accuracy/zeroing

Just as a point of interest, the crossbow does a very similar thing. I aimed for a zombies chest the other day and killed him, only to walk up to the corpse and find I just BARELY got him through his silly officers hat. -
How did you manage to launch dayZ single player? Or are you saying that DayZ makes ARMA2 SP broken with no weapons/npc's? ARMA2 has SP right?

Leg breaks after crawling through doorway

obnoxiously i nearly killed myself with a broken leg trying to crawl through a doorway in a mil base to get morphine. It is so broken that you can't go anywhere to try and get morphine if you have none when your leg is broken, even if it was broken at a mil base!! -
Ok that OP was pretty awesome. A little slow at times, but we really had the coordination and cooperation going pretty well. Ended up coming out of it with: 1: ALICE Pack 2: Silenced MP5 - no one else could fit in their pack 3: M4 - found in a scavenge 4: Cooked meat! First I've ever had. Glad to be a part of this adventure!

I'm interested in applying. I'm a mid level player and learning fast. I've got about 45 hours in game over the last few weeks, and I'm starting to look for more than solo survival and the occasional random partner out of my DayZ experience. I think I would be useful as any group troop role, primarily scavenger or guard, and could easily perform as a mercenary/patrol if needed. I'm a social guy, and this kind of cooperative social gameplay is exactly where I'd like this game to advance towards. Steam - stabf DayZ - Davey Forum - survivor_davey TS3 - none yet, but I can snag TS whenever necessary. Likely just Davey. Timezone - EST (GMT-5)

Just so you know, there already are two crawling speeds. double tap shift while crawling to switch between fast and slow crawl.

The Hatchet spawn rate is through the roof. I recently found a barn with 4 hatchets on various levels of the lofts. No other weapons to be found. In total that session i found 6 hatchets and 0 guns. Can we get a tweak on those spawn rates?
