  1. oh FFS we KNOW it alphaaaaaa....stop with the constant reminders. the game is great, a fantastic experience, but it definitely needs work. hitbox detection is way off, the zombies glitch far too much and in my opinion, if rocket wants feedback to be of any use he needs to pay attn to the people talking about the zombies. melee weapons are here, yes they need work too, but theyre here. its the zombies themselves that are making this game break for alot of people. you can absolutely find the tools you need to survive, but half of the fun is trying to raid a town by urself or with others. if the zombies, however dangerous they may be are a glitchy mess, the game becomes unbearably tedious.
  2. its a work in progress really. the zombies need an overhaul, even at this stage in alpha.

    Zombie Aggro distance

gonna hafta agree on this. the zombies need major work done. supposedly they have newer animations etc but it seems slow to get it in the game. their aggro range is a tad high, and im still seeing the wall glitch. and why not add more zombies in the hills and woods? it would make traveling alot more interesting to say the least. id also suggest that not ALL of them run either, nothing wrong with a mass of slow zombies to crowd an area. zombies are for the most part...dumb. im sure a gunshot would attract them to your area, but 20 of em? i like that the game is difficult but it can be just as difficult if its stuffed with different types everywhere. shamblers and runners mixed with each other would be a nice touch. zombie patches are this game needs atm.

You are what is killing this game

youll get no shortage of dipshits on these forums, jus like most any other video game community. the whiners will moan and groan about every little detail imaginable, tell everyone theyre quitting and hoping the game fails. the elitists are the guys who think jus because theyve played day z from day 1 that NOBODY has the right to give feedback except them. and on it goes... rocket....cmon man....work on the zombies....theyre still glitching thru walls, theyre only of the male species, and they still teleport faster than capt kirk.

    Suggestions for Zombie changes.

you dont need the UI to change weapons. i jus roll my mouse wheel and press L1 and it works fine. the barricade suggestion sounds pretty cool. and i agree that the zombies themselves need to be worked on extensively. better animations, movement and less super-speed female zombies the dynamic zombies are cool so far, cops, priests etc...maybe even survivor, old bandit skin zombies? we also should be able to cap their knees to slow them or something, and the slow/fast type mix would work well also. i think zombies dotting the woods/landscape could be a nice addition too.

    DayZ thoughts...

i kind of echo the statement on more slow zombies with a few fast ones in the mix. i think it could add a decent element in the game. and when possible, update the animations and attacks. im quite sure the super-sense zeds will be fixed, so thats not worrisome but just some tweaking and i think itll all work out. as far as food/weapon spawning etc...i havent really had much of an issue with that, seems others have. and no mr-whiner...youre not gonna find heaps of food laying about the damn woods, get a clue. night time could be just a tad brighter i agree, but whatever, itll get fixed. to the bandit in cherno who we jumped and quickly dispatched, yeah...you guys might just wanna think about....oh i dont know...NOT GOING TO THE SAME SNIPING SPOTS EVERY TIME....geesh. to the bandit who got me in the tree line on my way to stary sobor, good shot, i aint mad atcha. that "wandering-shambling horde" of zombies travelling across the land sounds like a good idea to me, as does the random travelling military unit clearing shit out of the way....clearing ANYTHING out of the way. jus sayin is all. and finally to the other forum crybabies--- alpha is for loading the game with features which may or may not work. basic bug fixes are implemented and some ideas are taken away and re-done. the major bug fixes and tweaks will be corrected in beta. the money you spent on ARMA2 in order to play this mod HELPS with this game. and its soaring popularity is only going to ensure the final product is done right. god forbid some big CO. tries out this idea, cuz its gonna be laaaaaaame. rocket is doin the right thing and should keep on truckin. /flame on.

    DayZ thoughts...

thats the thing about this game, ive alrdy had many memorable moments, as alot of others. heck there are a ton of youtube video-journals out there to laugh at etc. rocket has begun to create a game EVERYBODY wanted made. the random zombie horde/random military death-squads would flesh out the world a bit more i think, i jus dont know how hard it is to code or what not, but i think itd be a good idearrrrr. hell, im all for new and different types of food too lol but if none of these ideas are implemented, no biggie, as i love the base game enough to keep playing. a poster once mentioned the idea of a random jet overhead bombing an area....i liked the sound of that too.
