  1. Hum I totally agree on the general idea that paypal is really bad but I dont really like the kickstarter idea either.

    I think you have others ways some harder than others:

    - selling DayZ goodies (caps - tshirt) (I would love to have DayZ cap for the summer!)

    - selling DayZ non material thing (like numeric map or ingame extra skin)

    This way you own us nothing regarding the dev, we payed for an item and the use of the extra money goes to your discretion.

  2. As an amateur of survival tricks I'm really please to see the way this mod is going (and it's only the BETA Oo !!).

    I've read really few about poisoning/infection and I truly believe that deserved it own thread.

    Causes

    Food poisoning:

    - some tin (not all) if not cooked might give your stomach really bad experience (even when you don't try to survive from hostile environment).

    - some water might get you poisoned if not boiled

    - "unfresh/past" meat get you poisoned

    Wound infection (in other words happen while you bleed):

    - if you are bleeding for a long time (X000 blood) you can get infected

    - if you get hit by an Infected (or Z as u like to call them) while bleeding you have a "X" % chance to get an infection.

    Don't get me wrong there is no "turning into an Infected" here just getting a new kind of bleeding.

    Effects

    Those infection makes you loose blood points very slowly and maybe shaking after being infected for too long. This should be easily curable by taking some pills or others drugs (with maybe timed effect).

    - "X0" blood lost every 5 min

    - shaking after "X000" blood lost while being poisoned/infected

    This have second gameplay effect as "making fire" a more vital thing.

  3. Have you ever try to go through a barbwire ?

    I had several occasion to do so, I'm far from being Superman and still I can go through.

    I believe a fair statement would be to be slowed at 5-10% speed and loose some blood point and a 80% chance to get a bleeding.

    It goes the same for Z, it can be a power full trap. How ever those thing when over crossed are getting used to a point they are no more harmful.

    I truly think the barbwire would be more interesting like this:

    - 90 to 95 % slow

    - 80% bleeding chances + damage taking while crossing + maybe possible drop of small item

    - use over the time till total destruction (same pattern as a tank goes out of gaz)
