    People are horrible.

i love it when people blame bandits for killing them when 95% of the time it's their own sloppy play that leads to their demise. i bet you were standing upright in the middle of an open field when you got shot.and it's kind of funny that you're complaining about PvP but you're trying to go to the NW airstrip, which is only one of the biggest PvP hotspots on the map. what the fuck were you expecting?

if you want to reduce bandit activity, do it by encouraging cooperation, not by punishing banditry. two ideas i can think of off the top of my head 1. remove all large backpacks like the czech, alice and coyote backpacks. reduce the number of primary inventory slots from 12 to 8 and make players spawn with the 6 slot vest pouch and leave the 12 slot assault pack as the largest bag. doing this would provide two benefits to cooperation that go hand in hand: first, players will be less self sufficient due to the stricter item limit, so they will have to rely on cooperation more to survive. second, bandits who relied on gettong their loot by killing other players will be less inclined to do so because they will have less bag space to take on loot, and the victims will have less bag space, which means it is much less likely that they will be carrying the items that a bandit would be looking for 2. FIX THE AMMO GLITCHES. if i can refill my mags for all my guns by disconnecting and then logging back in, i can fire my weapons all day and never have to worry about finding more mags. once ammo is more precious, people won't be so cavalier about using it and killing other players for sport just won't happen as often when you can save ammo by letting other people live. obviously this won't eliminate banditry entirely because there will alwaysbe people who just want to kill for fun and where there's a will, there's a way. however, it would definitely go a long way toward making the player environment a little more cooperative i just thought of a third idea as i was typing the other two: make high-end sniper rifles like the m107 and the as50 require 2 people to transport (make it break down into 2 10-slot parts, which, when combined with suggestion #1 would mean 2 people are needed to move the gun) then when they want to fire, one person could give his part to the other like a blood transfusion. the player holding the assembled gun would be unable to crouch or stand, almost as if they had a broken leg. i make this suggestion because, let's face it, no one uses sniper rifles to fight off zombies.

why should banditry be penalized? i'm not a bandit, but i think it's a good thing for the game. if you introduce some sort of mechanic into the game that punishes bandits and forces people to always cooperate, it will take a lot of the suspense out of encounters with other players.

Not everyone is a potential enemy.

oh. i'm sure you'll have a lot of insight to add
  5. Blakorr

Not everyone is a potential enemy.

yeah it's great that you found that and all, but this is the exception and not the rule. everyone except your friends and clanmates are potential enemies and you can never be too sure if someone who just helped you a minute ago might turn around and shoot you when it's convenient.

    to Krasnostav!

also, krasno isnt that good. it's a high traffic city because of the airfield, only it has far fewer lootable buildings than all the other big cities and no hospital. every time i go there during the day i end up getting into a shootout.
  7. Blakorr

    longest shot

dunno the distance but i hit a guy on the elektro hospital roof with an enfield and i was on on the hillside northeast of the power station

    bandit status

how many murders does it take for the game to consider you a bandit?
  9. Blakorr

    bandit status

    ah. thank you.

    First Day: Mixed Results.

you could improve your time here even more by adopting a more direct writing style instead of all that superfluous lingo. good day, sir.
  11. Blakorr

    bandit status

so if i had one murder and a person shot me to death it would register as a bandit kill for them?
  12. Blakorr

    People are horrible.

some clan tried to set up a trade company on one of the seattle servers. dunno if it worked out or not. i don't think trading is a big part of the game, though. i don't normally use up bag space to carry extra guns unless i plan on using them myself.

    People are horrible.

lots of truth in your post. i've been killed on more than a few occasions because i've lingered too long in one area trying to check every little loot cache

    People are horrible.

if you're carrying a sniper rifle, you're not looking to shoot zombies...
  15. Blakorr

    to Krasnostav!

if avoiding people is your goal, just grab a hatchet/knife/matches/water bottle asap and then go hide by a pond out in the middle of nowhere. once you get those 4 items you will never have to set foot in a city again
  16. I play on us74 and my tent, bicycle and truck were gone when i logged on this afternoon. went to someone else's camp that i used to loot from and it's gone, too. was there any announcement on here of a tent/vehicle wipe or was it just a us74 thing?
  17. and to determine if you're in a firefight, perhaps something like WoW's entering/leaving combat system is necessary
  18. firefight disconnectors should have a flare animation attached to them for an hour starting with their next login. they are unable to throw, drop, or otherwise get rid of the flare animation except by dying.
  19. i'm against this idea. sort of like people who post on the forum saying they have a broken leg and need someone to bring morphine, you shouldn't be able to use the forum to save yourself or improve your situation ingame.
  20. i agree with this. loot cycling isn't in the "spirit" of the game, but i'm okay with it because there is a significant risk/reward tradeoff and you aren't getting something for nothing.

    Blood/Health Regeneration

awful idea. people shouldn't get free health for not playing. health regen system is fine as is.
  22. Blakorr

    Blood/Health Regeneration

yeah it's still not hard to get started. hatchets are all over the place near start areas, so just sneak around until you see one and then work your way up from there. people who complain about it being hard starting out are just bad at avoiding zombies
  23. Blakorr

    ghost killing and spawn system

i'm not a bandit by any means but if i saw you in game i'd just shoot you for being so dumb
