no, this wouldn't be be a replacement for third party chat software, it's more for you to talk to people on the server who aren't in your group who you might not know.and making CBs rare would be pointless because then you would have no one to talk to. i was thinking maybe make them fairly common so that maybe half of the players on any given server have them.

i don't think this thread starter really understands what failing means.

i kill unarmed people for my own safety. i carry a spare gun and ammo in my pack, so i don't want it to be looted and used against me. also, i don't know if the person has well-armed friends nearby. last thing i want is someone who might try to tail me and report my movements to friends or clanmates.

if i had an AK and it was running low on ammo i would absolutely go into a barn and ditch it for whatever i found in there. i'd much rather have a low tier primary with a ton of ammo than carry a higher level gun that's nearly out of bullets. you never know when you're going to get into a sustained firefight or when the next zombie rush will happen. -

i am okay with loot cycling. there is a lot of risk involved in trying to hold onto a high-value loot area for any stretch of time. -

scattering start points all across the map would help, too. part of the reason cherno and electro are so crowded is they're close to spawn points. and the bandits that like to hunt noobs know this, so they are drawn to those cities because they want to get kills. if you spread out the spawns more, there won't be such a large concentration of new characters in those two cities and the bandits will likewise spread out. -

there is usually a decent amount of player action in berezino. 9 times out of 10 i will hear gunfire while i'm taking my loot route through the city. -
dunno why but it's easier for me to estimate range on a dmr

if you're going to use your primary gun to fight zombies, use something with a higher rate of fire and/or quieter than the lee enfield

"shakes of guilt?" the whole point of a sandbox game is that people can do what they want and not be restricted by shitty gimmicks like that.

there won't be an ammo shortage, just people who get too attached to their gear and will refuse to downgrade their weapon when the ammo runs out for their high end snipers and silenced m4s. AKMs and shotguns will still be pretty easy to find.

lowest-risk approach. if you try to be a bandit with a shotgun, there's a decent chance that you wind up losing the shootout.
