    Remove Hiding Bodies...

I don't think hiding should go away but the mechanic could use changing. Hiding bodies would be more acceptable to me if there was a way to unhide them. IE dig them up again. (within a limited time frame before total decay). It would actually be pretty cool and dark imo, being a grave digger. The presence of flies after burying suggests that the game must at least know there was a body buried there, though whether it still tracks everything about the corpse and its contents I couldn't say. But really, imagine moving through town or the wilderness and coming on an area where you hear flies where something had been buried (happens to me all the time). Instead of being annoying like it is now, it would be like finding a treasure chest. And it would also give people a chance to recover there stuff if it was their own corpse, but they would have to find it only by using the fly sound as an indicator. And its more realistic than either the other two options proposed (get rid of it completely or instamagic corpse destroy)

RIP DayZ - Yogcast started a LP

@ewokz I understand what you are saying, I mean no offense. What I am saying is that for as long as I've known Yogscast, they have had a long standing tradition to misrepresent the game they are covering by doing off the wall shit and breaking rules. Playing the way they are not supposed to play. Instead, they play what they seem to find amusing. Not one video I've seen of them has accurately represented the game they were covering. If I want to see the real gameplay of a game, I follow a simple rule: Don't watch yogscast. There are many other great youtubers out there that do it that way. If on the other hand I already know about the game and just want to see weird gits do even weirder shit, yogscast sometimes delivers.

    A good read, well done.

Can you Take Ghillie Suit off a Body?

Personally I would much rather deny my killer the chance to loot a Ghillie suit than whatever small advantage civilian clothing offers in an urban environment. You get killed with that thing in your pack and congrats, Dayz gains one more douche in a Ghillie.

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2

I read this as, he was aiming for this past monday. He didn't make that, so the backup patch date is saturday during offpeak time. As in, tomorrow.

    F*CK all the players!

If it was me I would have been grateful for your help, and tried to repay it. But that mentality is a rarity. Personally I think when the bandit enrages the survivor enough to become a bandit themselves, their domination over you is complete. But I can't blame anyone for surrendering to the baser instincts.
  8. Capital! Excited to see all these responses after coming home from work and ready to start the weekend. Thanks so much all for the responses and pms. I'll shut this thread down so I have time to devote to those that offered. I'll be in touch.
  9. Bumpty bump. Still looking for a group thats a good fit for me. I see some other promising LFM threads out there to pursue but if there is someone out there that is especially looking for a teammate with my particular playstyle I would love to hear from you. /salute
  10. Edit: Thanks all for responses, got enough offers now and no longer looking. Good hunting! Out of circumstance and perhaps some necessity, I was a loner since I picked up DayZ. But I have accomplished everything I wanted to accomplish as a loner. I stayed alive, I got well equipped, I fought off raiders, helped what few peaceful survivors I could find and survived the zombie hordes. There is nothing more I want out of the solo experience. Its time for me to return to civilization and help a group cause. Age: 30s, most of it spent gaming VoIP: Vent, TS3 Steam: MrGrunties Schedule: Working man in US EST, so 6-12PM weekdays, anything goes weekends Playstyle: Aggressively peaceful. Help friendlies, shoot hostiles. I don't seek conflict but when it finds me, I love to end it. With bullets. Attitude: Easy going. Not attached to loot. Don't like whining or drama. Just enjoy the experience good or bad. Losing is fun. I've been around the block. I'm not at all interested in joining bandit groups, but otherwise not picky. An established group looking for someone with experience, an up-and-coming group seeking a dependable addition to their team, or a newb group just trying to learn how to survive. It's all good. You give me a cause and I'll help you fight for it. Thanks for your consideration.
