Banned from GB #00 for gun hacking
AsssMonkeee replied to IRJesoos's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Unless you have evidence of him spawning that gun in, you are not supposed to ban. If players have illegal weapons that were recovered from another players corpse, that is not against the rules. And the devs will deal with it when they purge the hive of illegal weapons, which they have done a few times i have seen already. I myself have found the M4A1 Holo SD which is the gun you are talking about. I'll go ahead and CP this for you Tokukachi: - Their are only two reasons why you, as a server owner, should ban a player on your server. Those two reasons are: Malicious talk, and racism. You may not ban a user for stealing your loot, killing you, spying on you, etc. - You may only kick for disruptive behavior (such as continued VOIP over side channel). But you may not kick due to race or language or because the person does something you do not like. - Kicking for extremely excessive ping or desync is permitted, but if abused is grounds for blacklisting Failure to adhere to these rules will BAN YOUR SERVER'S IP from DayZ. Now, it's fine to ban someone if you have absolute proof that they are hacking, and by hacking i mean actually running scripts to do things they should be, like spawning guns/killing players. Carrying a gun that doesnt spawn naturally is NOT an ok reason to ban someone. Although I am perfectly willing to admit im wrong if some dev or something comes in here and corrects me. -

http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/22301-new-server-signup-and-ticket-system/ Go to that topic. If you can't understand it, get someone who speaks better english to help you.

NO! Read some of the stickied topics please. The only reason to ban someone is racist talk or disrtuptive behavior. Or outright cheating (running scripts that spawn items) Now, if this player is ghosting (using server hopping to move positions and kill players) you could ban him from your server, as that is an outright exploit. But there are plenty of legitimate reasons to server hop, and I have never seen a rule anywhere calling it an exploit

* [NEW] Exponent driven probability introduced into visibility calculation Ok, what I think that means, is that each level of sound you make, will have an exponentially greater chance randomly making you much more visible to zombies that have line of sight on you. Basically zombies won't ever be "definitely far enough away to not aggro", sometimes they will see you from much farther off

Has anyone that had a ghillie suit before the update, managed to log in and still had the ghillie?
-
No read my post again lol. I had A FLASHLIGHT THAT SHOT BULLETS. It was probably on clientside lol

Heh, made it into a server. It said I had incorrect version, im pretty sure that issue is the server admins messing up the update, dont get mad at me if im wrong though. Also, my sidearm (1911) had become a flashlight. Only it just LOOKED like a flashlight, still showed as a 1911 in my inventory. And it fired. I tried to start fraps up and the server died before i could tab back in and get some evidence. Looked pretty awesome though. You know you'd be mad as hell if a survivor approached you on the beach and shot you dead with his flashlight.

You entered the game' date=' you are lucky. [/quote'] not really lucky when if you try and swim you wont even make it anywhere :D, going to wait abit then try again and hopefully be where im suppose to be I can confirm for ya that you can swim without dropping gear on Atlanta 21, and US 43. Those are the only servers i know for sure where the server setting is turned off. If anyone knows of others please let me know.

I think the swimming on login issue may be due to ghillie suits. I had the same issue as a previous poster, logged in, was swimming, it stopped pretty fast though, didnt drop anything. But I couldnt go third person, although when i looked over my shoulder with the numpad I could see a kind of digital print camo outfit. Then i logged out to try another server that i have stuff on, when i made it in that server I had reverted back to civilian clothing. So, question for anyone else that had "swimming on login". Were you wearing a ghillie suit or camo clothing?
