Hello, thank you for the feedback. I shared it with our colleagues for consideration. 🙂

Do the devs even read these at all?
merropa93 replied to Brian Gateley's topic in General Discussion
Hello, we are very sorry if you feel about it this way. We care, but unfortunately, we are not able to keep track on everything on every DayZ's social media platforms. For example, our team that is tending to communication and taking care of the community consists right now of three people and one of them is me. I'm the one who usually responds to DMs sent to us on Instagram and Twitter, monitoring comments and in case that there is a valid question, that is not just a "fix your game" type of comment, I reply. Another reason is, that I have to look for answers quite often as the range of questions and suggestions is pretty wide and sometimes it takes some time before I acquire the answer either from my colleagues or from our documentation. We keep track of suggestions from the community and we have a list of these suggestions, the list is updated a few times a week because we are getting messages with suggestions very often, we want to keep those in mind for future decisions, but unfortunately, it is not as easy and fast as some people think it is and last but not least, we have a proverb for this in my country that goes like this "Na světě není člověk ten, aby se zavděčil lidem všem." in translation, You can't please everyone. The more people are in the community, the more opinions, wishes and demands are raised and it is simply not possible to make everyone happy, because it's not unusual, for these wishes and suggestions to collide, resulting in a kind of Sophie's choice situation. As it was mentioned by Michael322, there are more than 5 DayZ modders who become part of the team and have been on the team for quite some time. If you have any questions, suggestions, recommendations etc, please tag me in those. I'll be happy to assist you. It will show on my screen and I will read it and sort it out, or you can send me a DM either here on the forum, on Twitter or on Instagram. I hope this shines a little bit of light on how are things behind the scenes. Feel free to reach out directly anytime, we don't bite. 😉 -Merropa -
Yes, the data for generating electrical wiring will be shared with the community after the release of 1.26 update, which should be in autumn. 🙂

What do you think about illegal monetization on game servers of DayZ
merropa93 replied to Victor Vyks's topic in Servers
Hello, if you stumble upon community servers, that are breaking the rules of monetization (you can read the rules here) and are not in the list of approved monetized servers (list of approved servers here), please report such server on this email infringements@bistudio.com. We appreciate your help very much, thank you. -
Hi, sure, I'll ask my colleagues and get back to you when I get some answers. 🙂
-
Hi, I'll add it to our internal feedback doc, it's a good point, thanks for mentioning it.
-
Hello, we're sorry to hear that, however, we are not handling bans, BE does. You need to contact them, they have access to the data.
-
That's an interesting point. Thanks, I will add it to our intern feedback and we'll what can be done about it. 🙂
-
Oh, I see. Thanks for the clarification. In that case, I am sorry, it is what it is. 😞

Hello, sorry to hear that, you need to contact BattlEye here: https://www.battleye.com/support/ It sometimes happens because of some "innocently" looking mod that is just for "enhancing the visual graphic and making it more vibrant". The problem with this type of mod is, that having improved visuals is an advantage over other players because you potentially can see much better than them, thus it's considered cheating. But this is just me guessing. If you did not use any mods, you still need to contact them.

Asking for permission to use the real name of guns
merropa93 replied to wadiman355's topic in Suggestions
Yes, it's exactly how you say. Names of irl guns are product names, thus you need a contract to be able to use it and avoid a lawsuits. -
Hello Everyone, I am Merropa and first of all, I want to express my deepest respect and gratitude to Kyiara for the great job that she has done over the years. Her dedication, passion, and hard work turned this forum into a welcoming space for the community to discuss, create and share ideas with each other. I'm not gonna lie, it is a bit scary to inherit such responsibility and please know, that it won't be taken lightly. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you better. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, suggestions, or concerns you might have. Warm regards, - Merropa🖤

Totally understandable 😄

Hey guys, well, first of all, DayZ is not a Zombie Simulator (the Z stands for "Zero", not "Zombie"- there are no zombies, they are infected people who are still alive, just seriously ill-driven to madness and primal instincts.), so let's get this one straight, and it never was, there is a difference between a simulator and hardcore survival game. "The difference between computer simulations and computer games is subtle but important. At the core, the distinction is that simulations are about things (or systems) and how they behave, and games are about a fun user experience." - this is the core definition and difference between those two. I totally understand your point and what upsets you believe me, but this game was never intended as a simulator. Bohemia Interactive has a branch dedicated to simulations and those are for training military forces and civilian organizations. So if DayZ were ever intended as a simulation, it would not be under our game studio, but under Bohemia's daughter. I know that this reply is most likely something that will probably upset you, and I am very sorry for that, but these are just facts. We have a proverb in our country, that is the biggest truth ever "Není na světě člověk ten, aby se zavděčil lidem všem". In translation "There is not a person in the world who can please everyone", just switch the person for a company. There will always be people around the world, who will be dissatisfied no matter what one can do, and the only thing that can be done is, to enjoy the little things, because I think that there are some much more upsetting things irl, so why be upset in the game too...if it stopped giving you what you love and enjoy, maybe it's a good idea to take a break from it, or try creating what you want the game to be yourself, that's how most of the games started anyway. Hope this will help you better understand, why DayZ won't be making the movements and gunplay 100% the same as it is in reality. It may be polished in the future, but it will never be like a simulation. PS: you can call it a jogging simulator, which it kinda is. Takes ages to cross it 😄
