every once in a while there will be a sound, like someone opening a can of soda. Used to get seriously freaked out everytime I heard it but now I assume it's nothing...

Seriously... it's the apocalypse and all I ever hear is "I'm hungry" "i'm thirsty". I'll take a few sips of water, eat a can of sardines... 5 minutes later it's the same deal. Does my guy have a tapeworm?

-put up a tent -put stuff in it -died -respawned, now back at tent I know tents are supposed to dissapear 2 days after you get killed but there is a "save tent" option that I used. Does this mean it will last? Or should I start looking for a new one asap to shift the content to?

Got guns, 2 water bottles easily refillable, sodas, plenty of beans, matches, wood, morphine... Feels like I can survive for an indefinite amount of time on my own, what do I do now?

wow no need to get mad guys I didn't mean this in a "I'm such a great player" way, I've just been very careful and found the minimum of items that would allow me to survive in the wilderness without human contact for a while. Yeah I can find better weapons but I think to do that I would have to go to military installations and I'm too scared :0 I guess I'll just hit some barns up for looking for that cz sniper rifle -
oh crap just posted another thread about this, my bad guys. But yeah, happened to me. Wanted to put a sniper straight from the ground to my backpack (I don't think I had enough slots), weapon just vanished.

heres what I've been doing lately, works well. Go to this link, it's a map. http://dayzdb.com/map when you spawn go along the coast to the nearest town, figure out where you are on the map. Look for high value greens (barns or farm places), those will provide you with shotguns, crossbows, simple rifles. I guess you can try to hit reds and high value reds (military) but shits probably risky
