Lol so what? go loot a place come back in 10 mins and see if you find more stuff. Have a hunting knife and try to knife someone or something. What? it only guts animals! What kind of sorcery is this? Or die, to wake up on the beach with all the loot gone and if you choose as a different gender character, or adrenaline that cures fractures, or putting a heli rotor in your bag lol. The list can go for quite a while... DayZ can't be real life, just a representation, and if some things are allowed, why not gaining the trust of a dog with some food?

But what you take in-game when you hand shakes? and considering this is the dayz forum...

ATM, apart from duping, it is quite easy to get high end gear on bases through server hopping. What if bases were manned and you needed a better plan than going to an empty server to get your loot? Bases could be repopulated after a while through a heli drop-off or paratroopers, also heli crashes could have a similar mechanic with a truck drop-off or something. At the end of the day the army is often involved in zombie movies as well, and given that the game comes from arma 2 i guess all the animations/AI/models etc are probably done already.

i'd like to see some kind of army manning the bases and maybe heli crashes and patrolling roads. I decided to put it as a suggestion in the subforum, it is too easy to go server hopping and getting top tier loot if you know where to look, with practically 0 danger. high level gear should be difficult to get access to, the soldier AI and models are in the game already and this would add an extra layer of strategy and co-op in the game. If you disagree is ok ;)

i haven't found a few objects, like the rangefinder and rocket launcher, but the one that i miss most is friendly pple. Man so much hate in this game. Unless you play with friends it is a giant map's free for all deathmatch.

For me the vector game that did the trick when I was still young (lol) was battllezone. When battlezone and battlezone 2 came out for pc i got so hooked on them remembering the ol' days, although they have deeper gameplay. Currently i have a homemade arcade cabinet in my games room, it's not the real thing but i can play the good old games whenever i want. I have an xbox inside which is great (albeit lacking for some modern games) for emulation with tonnes of games on it, but i'm thinking about swapping it for a pc since i upgraded mine recently and have now a spare c2d-based one laying around.

All this complaining is laughable. The only thing (aside glitches) the headwrap does is telling the rest you're fair game. And fair game is exactly what the rest of the players are for a bandit. So it really puts a bandit at the same level than any survivor is for them. 1-1 status, you kill on sight, you are prone to be killed on sight. And as i said, bandits still have the advantage since they shoot anything that moves, while the survivor/hero has to identify if the player is a bandit first. And for those who say this is not realistic, either is realistic to kill on sight anything that moves, knowing that if you die you start again. If it wasn't for the skins, at this point the only interactions between players in-game would be KOS.

OP, that was EXACTLY my first console as well. I was a tiny lad, being born in 73 myself. From then i've gone through atari, microcomputers, 8 bit consoles, 16 bit, and then 32 bit and pc's, and well, the usual "modern" consoles and pc systems till now. i never had an amiga although i had the commodore vic-20 and 64, and the earliest pc i had was a 200Mhz pentium mmx. And the most amazing thing of all... I still have all my hair!

Lol I see that plenty of bandits are getting the same medicine that all survivors were getting before. Suck it up, you're being treated the same way you treated everyone in the game! Before, for you, it was so easy to spot a victim really anyone. Now for the survivors is a bit more difficult. Do they have a headwrap? if so, then... fair game. And the fact the OP is asking for the old skin is laughable. So you kill a few and instantly you get a camo suit. From start, every time you die. Hahahahah!

AFAIK PDW takes pdw, g17, m9, m9sd, mp5 and mp5sd ammo. i've tried several different clips from the list and they all work. Once in your hand you spin the wheel for context menu and choose ammo to load. PDW is my preferred one, maybe with m9sd but ammo for that pistol is not that common.

Crossbow is overpowered, been doing the same with empty bottles and tin cans. That is what i call fun!

I'm from spain and the opinions i have from muslims are quite direct, we're only 14 km away from morocco and have a big north african community living in spain.
