get an as50 with one bullet, an axe and some bandages and go to cherno on a high populated server. Get on the main square and shoot the as50. Change quickly to the axe and wait for the onslaught to begin. -
any barn/farm warehouse will provide you with a cz550. You might need to search a bit, but you'll find one. I found today an ak kobra an a pdw on a deer stand. the 2 at the same time, first time that i get 2 weapons in one. And on heli sites i keep getting fn fals for some reason. really annoying cos i'm after an l85 and no luck whatsoever.

It's no good for a child that age to watch DayZ. It is very likely that he'll have nightmares due to that. I still have clear in my memory when, being a small child, decided to take a peek at what my parents were watching on TV, Salem's lot, a vampire miniseries, and when i opened the door a vampire boy was scratching a window from the outside asking a kid inside the house to let him in. That's why i take these things seriously, i know they have a big influence in the minds of children. -

I'm thinking about opening an irish pub in cherno. Plenty of properties available, also we can sell food/drinks and have some nice live irish music. Problem would be beer but i always can pass some good morphine under the counter. I'd probably need a couple of bouncers if anyone is interested. -
Well the impression i have is that most of the kill on sighters are also dcers, when the bullets fly their way. You know, keep your gear and so on... It's my experience, i'm not saying i'm 100% right but what i perceive is that besides killing on sight most of the people tend to disconnect in "sticky situations". And as I said, the first i can live with, the second i hate.

If you know that works like that, kill on sight, why are you in the open? why you get mad when getting killed? And no i don't kill on sight, unless necessary. But i don't cry either when getting killed. I only hate the alt+f4ers bandit wannabes that throng the servers. They shoot you in the back and then they alt+4 if you return fire.

The only time i dc'ed was when, after saving my position inside a house, i connect the next day to instantly get attacked by zombies from outside the house through the walls. I found it unfair and decide to disconnect. It was one of my first days playing dayz and i learned that day that saving in a dwelling is not the best idea. I've never disconnected since then unless to log off the game or meet some friends on other server. Never in battle, never when having a train. And as the moron above states, the most gritting moments happen when you don't disconnect. Survival in this game is the ultimate reward. DC'ing kills that. -
Zombies way too hard now

They are very easy as they are now if you know what to do. Any building with more than 1 exit or forest or hill and you don't need to fire one single shot. I like fast spawns cos if the mod has a problem is the low amount of zombies on an area. Zombies are supposed to be overwhelming and atm they are not (specially if you choose to dodge them instead of shooting at them). -

You're supposed to bring them to green mountain and drink them on top of the tower. It gives you supernatural senses for a short period of time. Last time i saw a guy bringing down a helicopter with a makarov shot. I think i still have the video... Will post it when i find it.

I think pple saying get rid of the hackers first are all alt-f4ers. I've had my fair share of alt-f4 encounters and only 1 hack (the superjump one). This is a survival game, not a pussy alt-f4 survival game.

I thinking about opening a bad in cherno, there are lots of real state available in the area. Problem is the only bottles of alcohol available are already empty. I can sell food and drink i guess, and some morphine "under the counter"... Now more seriously, after gearing up with a bunch of friends you have te possibility of waging war on a server, gather vehicles and loot and kill/destroy other clans and their camps. I saw a video of some guys luring and ambushing another clan in devil's castle. They ended up dying by glitching with the car they used to lure the other clan after wiping them out. DayZ is class. -

The problem with PVPing is that you are forced to do it even if you don't want to... After being killed several times when attempting to meet or helping people i decided to get on the bus, but that doesn't mean i miss the interaction with strangers within the game. For me it'd be great if the bandits/PVPers had a big PVP sign marked in red on their clothes, that way i'd avoid/kill them on sight, but it'd be cool as well if pple who want to play co-op with random players could do so. ATM CODers have killed that aspect of the game and it's only possible to create groups outside of dayZ effectively. -

Server hopping/disconnecting is what is ruining the experience for me. There is no teleport/parallel worlds in a zombie holocaust. At least not in the shows, in any case -
Stealth = Always Prone = Not a well-designed mechanic

Hi, first post here after being reading for a while. I think the biggest problem is sound detection. I understand that a zombie will see you from 50 feet away while crouching and therefore going prone is necessary, but the fact that zombies hear through walls and that crouch walking is heard from far away doesn't make sense. Crouch walking (= sneaking) should have same levels than being prone, 0, while walking while standing should have 1, same level than crouch running (you're swapping speed for stealth). Also running shouldn't have more than 2 bars, a person can hear "loud" steps when they are close, but not at a medium range. And walls/buildings should muffle sounds, I can run behind a wall/corner and nobody will notice. I think the LOS is well the way it is, maybe i'd tweak how aggro works, like sight from afar will trigger attention and the zombie will move towards you (maybe a new, faster walk for the walkers?) but aggro wouldn't happen until zombie is sure you're food (closer range). And it'd be nice to see that direct communication channel is heard by zombies. Lots of pple would switch to TS or general channel, but for the real DayZ experience to have to shut up when Z's are nearby i think it's a good idea, if this is doable.
