    What I like is how the people who play the game as complete sociopathic assholes also feel their murderous activities are justified, just like real psychopaths. THey constantly harp on about "what it would really be like" and people who "deserve to die" then then smile their psycho smile and tell you it's just a game. Don't be so attached. It's your fault. Download yourself a copy of the DSM IV. Read up on it yourself. There are people posting here as textbook sociopaths and I doubt very much it's just roleplay, more a case of them finally being able to act out their true nature with no consequences. And now, defensive posts of denial and ridicule and some threats. Also in the DSM IV.

    Survival time bonus mechanics

    Many people haven't noticed this mod is actually a survival mod and they treat it like a deathmatch with zombies because that's all their pinhead brains are capable of understanding. That's their problem, but how about coming up with a way to make them less of a problem for the people who do get the idea of the game? Ways you could achieve this would be to introduce mechanics which directly reward survival time, and hinder players who have just spawned. There are already mechanics in place which impinge on your senses or cause you to cough and shake, effecting your ability to aim a weapon. I know bitches will scream about this, but good, your tears and rage and "that's stupids" tell me I'm on track. I feel there should be similar skill lowering mechanics newly spawned survivors should have to cope with. Drift. When newly spawned players try to target a weapon, there is a pronounced introduced drift, such that even if they do manage to find a weapon, they can't aim to fire it unless they're very, very close to their target. This drift would reduce over time, until you had survived for, lets say (for trolling BF3 fags and hurrdurr I'm a bandit's sake,) 48 hours, in game. That is, after you've been alive and logged in 48 hours, you're finally able to aim and effectively use that DMR you got off your buddy 5 minutes after your last death. Yes this will piss off the bitches who get killed and then get re-equipped by their mates to go out on their next kill or be killed sloppy fuckwit murderfest, but fuck those guys, the more pissed off they are, the more likely they are to fuck off back to (insert console FPS title here.) Energy Not your health, but more, how physically tired you are or aren't. I think it's bullshit that I can run up the west side of the map at a full sprint carrying a 24 slot pack, two guns, ammo and a toolbelt full of crap. I should have to conserve my energy. As energy is depleted I should be reduced from a full spint to a run, from a run to a walk, from a walk to a crawl, and if I push on when all I can do is crawl, at some point, if I don't rest,. I should pass out. Fuck this "sprinting straight back to North West Airfield to get my stuff off my corpse" bullshit. ...however, Fitness Start with a count of how far you've traveled, as that count increases, you get a larger energy pool. You are able to sustain a sprint for longer, and you recover steady, slow breathing faster after running. I should start out as a fat sack of shit who couldn't run a game of dice without getting out of breath, and as I survive longer, travel more and build up my physical condition (assuming I'm eating and staying hydrated,) I should come to a point of physical conditioning where a two day patrol carrying 209 pounds is a cakewalk. I shoudn't start out like that. It would also make it possible for a long lived survivor to outdistance a newb or recently respawned bean bandit. Added advantage, newbs running zombie trains might find the engine (them) runs out of steam before they make it to Cherno. Well for fuck's sake, it's a survival mod. How about some rewards for actually surviving? More to the point, cruel penalties for not giving a fuck if you die, as long as you're killing others. As I said, I know these ideas will be met with tears from the fuckwits who think they should be able to play this as just another piss boring first person shooter, but I reiterate my earlier statement and repeat myself, fuck those guys. Especially if they're the same bitchasses who like to point out how the mod is meant to be unforgiving when people say they're fuckheads for playing it like CoD.

    Melee Weapons Ideas (Megathread) Post your ideas

    No to battle axe and saber but the rest are good ideas. Having variations of range and damage for melee to suit them wouldn't be too hard to do and would make things interesting, the current hatchet would be medium range, medium damage. You know what else would be fun? The recording session you'd need to do to get the soundsets for those weapons on bodies and skulls.

    well you're just too fucking awesome and you win the game. until you take one to the back of your head, or fire from your nest without realising someone thought "that's a good spot to camp for a sniper, I'll put satchel charges there as an IED for the lols." Then you're just another fat noob fuck who needs to get into shape and learn to shoot. Again. edit people like who? you don't know who I am in game and the leaderboards are still down. Empty threat was empty.

Any video of you actually doing anything interesting/fun/exciting with your "OHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT I found a truck" truck? No. Is that because you drove it through Stary like a tard and the insurgents got you with an IED? Pro tip, next time you upload a video, make it one that shows off skill, not luck.

    Real zombie apocalypse? Bring it. All the assholes and dickheads would kill each other in the first week. And there'd be no respawn. And I wouldn't swing 90 degrees to the side if one of your corpses had dropped where I needed to piss. Eventually, the only people left would be those smart enough to band together and keep a low profile, and those rugged enough to handle living off the land. 90% of the fuckwits playing this mod wouldn't last the first 48 hours.

It is, after all, a survival mod. A fact lost on most of the fucking idiots playing it. When I die it will be to some bitchass hacker fag using [known script name removed] to kill me to stop my run on the survival leaderboard. Again.

Uh, no. 4 of the TOG players were in game, north east of Berezino, traveling north spread out over a several hundred meters, none of them heard any shooting, they just died one by one a couple of seconds apart. Seconds later, TOG Deranger was killed over near Bor just after spawning in, also in game.Script maggots. Ought to be a cull. Give me a claw hammer, I'll do it.

    No gun at respawn? Impossible for beginners

    Imagine if everyone asking for guns at spawn only wanted them so they could kill other players. Now imagine, if they didn't get their way, what would they do? Fuck off and play something else, right? I'm pro no-gun-at-spawn. QED
