The servers are down for maintenance, which is probably why you both cannot find any servers currently.

"DayZ Commander" now has or will soon have the option to install DayZ with the Steam overlay, including the latest Arma II beta patches.

3 helicopters is the number of usable ones, not the crashed helicopters. A lot of people report 5 or 6 per server, I personally have only ever found one. :(

There is a guide for specifically installing "Arma II free" and "operation Arrowhead" on the forums, you can search for it. Other people have got it working, so you should not have a problem.

Lots of buttons can be toggled and will disrupt or stop running, if you do not have a weapon equipped then it is not possible to see what you have done. Try double tapping the following if it happens again, each one can cause problems with movement: Shift Q E Ctrl

Even the best computers sometimes struggle to maintain high FPS, because Arma II is very poorly optimised. Decide on a budget and go from there, there is no point in buying a PC for just one game especially when that game is very old. If you buy a PC which can run Skyrim on high quality settings, then it will obviously be able to run Arma II.

It should be added later. The development team have all of the data, but no way of easily showing it per person on the website yet.

We would need to change the map for this. There is a "Czech army" expansion which has an update to the Chernarous map and it might have more buildings which can be entered, but I cannot confirm that.

You quit the game whilst in shock, so now when you log-in you are forced to wait 5 minutes to wake up. Once you do wake up do not log out straight away because there is a good chance that you will log-in and be unconscious still. It is best if you run around for a while after you wake up, to try to stop this.

I would take the M16, so I can use STANAG rounds, with the expectation that I will find and M4 or something nice later. Edit: You can also get SD STANAG rounds, which are a bonus for killing zombies (players can still hear the gun shots apparently).

You need to install the latest beta for Arma II and also Battleye, there are various guides on how to do this if you use the search function. Otherwise you can use a program called "DayZ commander" or "Six Updater", again search for these on the forum, and they will do everything for you. I personally use DayZ commander and recommend it.

A few others have mentioned this issue, you probably made a mistake during the modifications to get DayZ to work.

A good power supply (PSU) is very important, if it breaks or is not capable of the required power output you will most likely lose all of your PC components and have to start from scratch. It costs 70 pounds for the Corsair 650W PSU: here Personally I would just save up and buy a new PC, you will run into problems (e.g. old mother board not compatible with a new component). All of the components are old and need to be updated sooner or later. If you are young now is a good time to get a summer job and earn some money. If you are already working try to cut back on something to save some money each week.

I find more engine parts and rotor assemblies that toolboxes. I have found Cherno the best place to look, there is a big area of just industrial buildings between the fire station and the apartments.

The program is working correctly but you cannot find any servers? It does sound like a filter problem, my version refuses to recognise my version of DayZ so when I checked the box to only show servers which are running my version nothing appeared, maybe you have this or something similar.

A lot of people are recording whilst playing, but you can always take screenshots. If he gets a screenshot of the "banned" message, then the admin of that server is going to have to provide reasons and proof on why he has been banned. I have a problem where all I get is a black screen when I hit print screen though. <_<

Collect evidence and report them for abusing the admin privileges, e.g. kicking and banning you without a valid reason.

War Z was in development before Day Z was first announced, games are not made overnight. Please all stop claiming that is is a copy, they have the same story/scenario, but so do most games and people are not jumping up and down about that. I would agree that War Z is similar and the developers of that game have said that they have taken inspiration from what they have seen in Day Z, I am sure Rocket will do the same if he finds something cool to add for Day Z. War Z will be an MMO, we will have to see how that turns out. For now I am reserving judgement, but I would like to play it if it can handle a crazy amount of zombies and it will have a specifically designed map for the game, which Day Z is currently lacking.

The graphics card is very old and will hold it back, so you need to use the low quality settings and even then it might not be great. You can always download "Arma II Free" and try that, it is not exactly the same but if you have problems with the free version you will be guaranteed to have problems with DayZ because it is more resource intensive.

If I understand correctly, you logged in and found that your inventory was changed and you had lots of good equipment (it was a hacker/script kiddie who most likely did it) and now the stuff is gone? I would say that there is no reason to complain.
