Geez guys give the man a break. If i were rocket which im clearly not (im better looking :P), i wouldn't have even told you about the enabling login data. I would have just done it and collected the data and gone on my way. So will this update give me ... Guys and Girls Please get your heads around its an Alpha Testing Mod Every time we stub a toe or get killed in the mod he gets data from it, and from all this data comes a real game. Rocket has said before Most of the major problems CANT be fixed because its the limitation of the engine we use to play on (Arma 2) and they are not even going to try. Why waste the effort trying to code something that wont work because it still can be exploited All you need to do is stop whinging and get playing as soon as the update happens the more data he gets the better the game will be. But just do one thing. Report in a sensible concise fashion so they can find what they have broken and make it better again.

Maybe try renaming the file BEClient.dll to BEClient.old which can be found here C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye. (assuming vista or above) Then open the game and let it update Or uninstall Battleye here C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Free\BattlEye Then open steam right click on game and choose reinstall BattlEye Hope that helps

Unfortunately Six doesn't work for me so i cant comment on that. I just had a look at the link you offered and it seems fine to me It has similar parts to mine so give it a try

The "bell" was just an idea lol It could also be combined with a 20 second loss of ability to shoot a gun on a player load, which wouldnt bother anyone who logs in normally as who shoots a gun with 20 seconds of loading, i certainly dont The risk for them trying to get behind you would be too great and it would stop altogether

Id be in favour of FF off servers (but not all of them) Then if i fancy a bit of PvE i can just login and get on with it

This is exactly why Alt/F4 should be removed or kill you if you use it Any jumping out of the sheet to avoid a death should get you auto killed You are not here to keep your equipment if you get run over by a truck so be it .. take it like a man and start again.

There is nothing challenging about having a stash of stuff ready to go and your m8s picking you up in a truck either.

Im not trying to be obvious but.. Pick servers near you and check you have the proper Arma 2 Beta version. I tried quite a few before i settled on three servers that are usual fine for me If you have incorrect versions it will stop you loading and playing

They do it because they can and they aren't man enough to go against real players with a chance of killing them back. (they would probably Alt/F4 if it happened anyway) Its fun for them because there is no risk

You just ned to change the death message to Player was killed by Player Name I would imagine it would be quite popular

Personally , i love playing this alpha, we might be just "testing" but it feels just like a game when you are testing, and i have never ever come across an alpha that feels as real as this does. Its immersive, challenging, tense, dangerous, problematical and a myriad of other things but overall its FUN! Yes its not without its bad points, from the loading screen times, menus, gameplay, zombies and many other things. It stirs very strong feelings from many who defend and praise it to the equally strong resistance of the ones that moan and whinge and chuck their toys out of the pram. So just once i would like to say thanks ... For the best £15 Ive spent in a long time to get this free mod to work, for the effort of Rocket and the Devs and many others at BI who we never see, also to the server owners who keep this game alive and the people who help on the forums. And even to the players who are a mixed bunch of good and bad, Ive helped and killed my way through many hours of life and death where Ive tried to play the game for what it is. And i have rediscovered the fun in team based play (although im way to serious about it) :P Its been a blast so far long may it continue Thanks...

I think at the minute they are trying to solve some of the fps and loading issues which have returned since 1.7.2. rocket wants to be able to get to 100 and 200 person if possible servers, and they are probably trying to optimize to make it happen

Packs and to some degree ammo are in the apartments in Cherno as well as many other things, take a chance and get out there and explore

The assumption you are making there is that its not possible or very diffucult to move up to Arma3 rocket has already statted somewhere he has had DayZ running on 3 I would imagine the base code would be similar in quite a few ways so moving forward to Arma 3 may not be as diffucult as you think.

Me and my m8 were driving around in a truck the other day and we came belting out of a wood and some dude was in the field below. Rather than let him get the jump on us and shoot us i drove at him and ran him down and killed him But I didnt get a murder for it !!! WTF Best roadkill Ive done and no murder ... Ah well always another day .. :P ps: @ rocket can you add kills from vehicles plz lol

No problem glad i could help Ive also managed to get this working in a rollback from 95208 which is no 1.62 back to 95099 which is 1.61 and it still works
