i have also noticed the fast respawn of zombies,kill 3 zombies at a deerstand loot it and by the time i get down from the ladder i alrdy see new zombies walking around(this isnt a big problem with deerstand or other buildings in remote locations,but its a real problem when firing a loud weapon in a town:u shoot a zombie,agro a bunch more by the time u have shot half ot them the first one alrdy respawned and is re-agroed from u shooting the still oncomming horde.zombies shouldnt spawn so close to survivors(unless the survivor stays in the same location for 10-15minutes +)they def shouldnt be respawning when they were shot by someone a minute ago and that person is still in that area. kinda silly wiping a whole farm,goin into the barn to loot,walking out of the barn to find the place filled with zombies again.

pvp needs to be in the game,but we need a way to identify who is naughty and whos nice,sidechat used to be great for this,u could call out to someone in the distance and after a bit of chatting u could often feel out who was rly friendly and who was just messing around in the chat tryin to lure in friendlys to kill. -

love the idea,but i think without global chat its goin to be boring and hardgoin for u.i know i went from always trying to be friendly to shooting as soon as the other player has seen me in only a few days after they removed the global chat.u also gonne have a hard time finding people in need of a medic(its just gonne be random hope u see someone)before u could offer your services in chat -
Extreme griefing with barbed wire.

i have to agree.if barbed wire just ment u had to step over it,it would be oke as someone camping that building would get some xtra time to shoot at u while u cant approach him.but often they set it up in such it a way that it just bugs out and u cant step over it.often making hangars inaccesable for everyone but the serverhopping douche that set them up. and since it doesnt rly add much to dayz(i can see how sandbags and barbed wire r great in arma but they serve alot less purpose in this mod)and u only ever see em set up by people that r trying to glitch them,its prob a good idea to remove them completely(or ban start banning serverhoppers) -
it seems like there are always extremes and this bugs me a little,to really see the effect of these changes it should be brought in with steps.i can think of a few examples in the last few patches: 1)u first had a gun with allot of ammo and two bandages at spawn,then they changed to no gun at all and one bandage and in the same patch they upped the zombies by making them aggro easier and giving them the ability to break bones. 2)u start without water or food but then in the same patch these items get a lower spawn % 3)u start without morphine and zombies get the ability to break bones it seems that none of these are necessarily bad changes but the fact that they get brought in together makes it hard to see their individual effect.i think for me it would have been better if they were brought in one by one.

Remove broken bones and make it a death blow.

they should rly change the broken bone to a sprain that instead of forcing u prone forces u crouch,this would still make zombies more dangerous(im not sure if they can actualy catch up to u to and land a hit if u crouchrun)but wont make for the horrible crawls to the nearest hospital.mix the hourlong crawl with how difficult it can be entering a building while prone and a broken bone rly means game over for most solo players. -

after playing a few more rounds,i it has become my personal opinion that there is more player killing goin on then before.sure there is less at first because u have no weapon,but those with a weapon seem to be very trigger happy,many people seem to blame sidechat goin and i could see how this is the case.tho i think there is a bigger problem,ive been killed several times when i didnt even have a weapon yet,i think with food and drink bein rare finds other players will not leave u alone when u are looting and go look in another building,they need what u might loot aswell(cause if u take of with the food they r screwed).i have not found food since .4 and i have done several lives.in those several lives ive also only found 1coke can. making loot alot more scarse means everyone who now finds a weapon kills anyone they come across because they need the food and drink -

i also noticed some visual glitching that wasnt there before. also im happy im not the only one who is annoyed at the bones breaking easy,i can see how breaking bones is part of arma 2.but since its kinda buggy and happens so easy,maybe(if this is even possible)they should change it so a sprain,where instead of bein forced prone to move ur forced to crouch,this would slow u down and make u easy prey for zombies and other players,yet wouldnt make it so hard to get around this huge map that u would rather suicide,specialy since u cant enter many buildings while prone. for me either the object interaction needs alot of improvement or broken bones is better of getting replaced by something else.ive lost way to much stuff getting crushed by buildings or falling of ladders -
a morphine shortage sounds rly scary to me,because at times in this game any simple action can result in broken bones.if the game is kinda broken and break your legs because u walk through a door way u cant take away peoples only way to help themself.if anything to accomodate for people falling half a meter and breaking their legs or closing a door and crushing their legs we should start with several morphine shots. nobody has fun accidently dropping of a very low ledge and having their bones broken.

a system that wouldnt let u log off if u have zombie agro or have shot/been shot or hit in the last 1 or 2 minutes would be nice. the idea of a ban when dcing would be nice if things were stable,the way it stands now i often have to connect and disconnect from several servers before i find one that goes beyong waiting for character to create...think if i was banned after every attempt my morale of even trying to connect would be drained fast.

i saw an interview/play together totalbiscuit and rocket(first of all this was entertaining and fun to watch so i applaud that rocket took the time to do this) what i rly noticed tho was that they were playing on the latest version(maybe even a newer version as they seemed to be on some sort of testserver)and rocket even said that new players normally dont start with a gun and alot of supplies,yet both of them started with the starting items we got before 1.7(guns,lots of ammo,food,waterbottle,....) this to me shows that rocket knew if we start without supplies and any way to defend ourself this playthrough for this new player(it seemed to be totals first play) is simply not goin to be any fun(and it wouldnt have been,just running away is not fun at all,in a game where u get attacked u need some way to defend yourself) he did say that at an earlier life he had spent hours trying to find a gun(a feeling i think we all know very well by now) i feel that simply limiting starting ammo would reduce triggerhappy people on the beach.if at all possible make it so that new players are not lootable in their first 30minutes of life(this would kinda suck,but if u rly want to stop people camping newly spawned people for their startinggear this is the way to go i think) -

i liked the idea of the sidechat getting removed till i played without it.i miss it,the game almost felt like a singleplayer with no interaction,if i had bumped into someone specialy a friendly and if direct chat works fine(it does half the time)i bet it wouldnt feel like a single anymore.but ive often played for long times without seeing others and feel that boredom may get the better of me if i cant at times joke around in the chat.also after playing alone for a few hours i usualy feel like meeting with some people,if i cant find any i try the chat(ofcourse this is risky,but its also fun) i feel that it could be fun if the side/global chat could only be used and read if u have a radio.do hope radios wouldnt be to rare if this became the case :p like i said before after a few hours of sneaking around alone i tend to get pretty bored,and the game is just more fun when u are playing it with others -
the problem here is:if we spawn without a weapon,we need to loot buildings to get weapons.if u then go and place zombies in all of these buildings like i have expierenced my last few lives we cant get any loot unless we just run in and out like maniacs and try to lose the zombies by using the buildings slow walk glitch(i wonder if this a glitch or not,i could see zombies being slow in doorways or on stairs/ladders,but theres no reason why they cant walk normal once inside a room.to clarify i dont feel like they walk/run normal at any point in the game atm they have either inhuman bursts of speed or they r goin at supercrawl speed.infact the only somewhat reasonable speed ive seen is when the hoppers halfagro on u...this is a weird state ive noticed alot where they move at about crouchrunningspeed and come directly towards u,even tho they dont act like they are agroed they will follow u very far and if u dont keep running they will come close enough to fully agro)
