This is more of a rant then anything but found this a bit annoying. Since the last update heavy attack no longer works for me like it previously did. I remapped the run button to my mouse (MB4) and walk to Shift. Before this update I was able to do heavy melee attacks by pressing MB4+RMB+LMB but for some reason now I can ONLY do heavies by pressing Shift+RMB+LMB, despite run not being mapped to Shift. It probably wasn't intentional and just some wierd coding issue but it's a tad annoying to try and undo 1000 hours of muscle memory. Not a huge deal but just annoying is all. And yes I know I'm a wierdo for not having run as Shift since I think every game ever made has that default mapping. But I'm (relatively) new to M+KB and that input just felt super awkward to me so... *shrug*.

Yeah it's been around a while. Go into options, disable quickbar, apply, reenable, apply, solved. Annoying but it works.

There certainly is not, don't know what servers you're playing.

The development team is entirely way too small to have any meaningful impact on cheaters, so they don't bother. That said, it's been hundreds of hours since I last remember running into what I believe was a cheater (not including V++ DM). If you're on PC, try servers with active admins. Otherwise, try and be luckier, I guess? Lol. Out of curiosity what makes you think they were cheating?

I wouldn't say they're lesser known, but they are funny as hell. I had a group of people I played with but most of them moved on because they never really got into the PVP. I find people to run with in game sometimes but usually it's people who aren't too good at the game and betrayal is just far too frequent. I would love to squad with some people who actually like the PVP. Don't have to be great, but aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. I have almost 1000 hours and mostly play on vanilla-type Namalsk or lately Alteria, though I still love Chernarus. I am in the EST US region. Happy running ya'll.

There's a bulky crosshair in 3PP. Is that what you're talking about? In 1PP there's nothing.

New update changed the spawn algorithm. Essentially players now fresh spawn near other players for a time. So for example you may have happened to be in Berezino, while a dozen freshies spawned in Elektro.

That sounds like someone is nearby XD

One that comes to mind is that when a zombie is on top of a roof it's been said that this means another player has been nearby. Never found anything to corroborate this and I have found one thread stating this is just bad AI for zombie spawns.

It's supposed to be really hard as it gives you access to the "best" weapons in the game. Are these weapons worth it? M4 not really since their are similar alternatives, and SVD would be if not for the DMR now. So the juice isn't worth the squeeze. I've had lives where I found all the gear relatively quickly, but it's just a crap shoot.

What do you guys think of anyone who does this? In almost 1000 hours of play I haven't, but it has crossed my mind occasionally. Any top players doing this that you know of? I think Summit1G did when he was playing. Some people are unreal with the hip fire and it makes me think they're using an overlay. I'm okay at hip fire but my monitor is also big so finding direct center is a bit more difficult. Just curious on people's opinion on this.

Just don't play on official. I play on Chernarus, Livonia, Namalsk and Deer Isle, all community, mostly vanilla. Haven't had issues with hackers in quite some time.
