  1. Hey everyone, just thought I'd drop in and let you all know that DayZDB has added a Lingor map now as well. Just like my Chernarus map, the goal was to make it as accurate and complete as possible, and from the feedback I've gotten so far, I've succeeded. (and I didn't steal map icons to do it) Also just like the Chernarus map, you can create and share your own sets of markers. For a guide on that, check here. DayZDB Lingor Island I'll also be making a Takistan map once it's available.

    Interactive Day Z Map

http://dayzdb.com will let you add your own markers sometime next week. You can't embed it on a forum, but you'll be able to share the markers with friends.

    AK74 vs AKM

That chart is originally sourced from http://dayzdb.com/database/weapons - the guy that first collated that data into one big list probably assumed 80m on the M249 was a typo.

    Ban for playing old versions

To say that you people aren't here to have fun is incredibly naive. If they aren't having fun, they aren't going to be here at all. Ultimately, it better serves the game to have people go back to older versions that they enjoy more rather than leaving the game entirely. If a large portion of people aren't upgrading, that's still a form of feedback. It's really a little sad how common this fallacy is. Yes, the game is in alpha. No, that doesn't mean players should expect to suffer through playing. What it does mean is that they shouldn't jump down the developers' throats when something isn't right, because the game is not yet in a state where stability or polished features are a reasonable expectation.
